I have a Retina Macbook Pro 2012 and what I've noticed as the biggest difference between laptop keyboard & the wireless keyboard are the keys feel while typing. On the wireless keyboard, I find the keys have a much better mechanical response; the tactile feedback. While writing, the wireless keyboard keys push back once depressed. On the laptop, it does comeback just as quick, however, it is a softer feel as opposed to the wireless firmer tactile feedback. It eases writing
I realize this is an old video, but I have to share this. I have this exact keyboard, and recently I was alerted that the batteries were getting low. So I went to change them right away. Only one came out. The other had expanded to the point it wouldn't come out. I had to get in there and remove all the electrics including the power switch and used a 1/4 inch wooden dowel and a hammer to force the battery out. It was an Energizer, and not the first time I've had problems with them. I'll never again use that battery brand.

Sophia Tellez I’m not sure exactly you may have to go to the Bluetooth settings on your iPad and connect it through there. If it shows a code try to type it on the wireless keyboard maybe
i just turned my bluetooth on my win 10 pc and it connected i didn't install any drivers or any thing and it works fine. of course my volume button doesn't work but everything else works fine no drivers needed.
Wow, thanks, I just got this keyboard for $16.00 and I'm using it to type this I'm using windows 10 and it seems ok will have to test it, of course, cool....didn't have to download drivers so far........
i used the bootcamp driver for my RIP-OFF BT Keyboard. and it kinda works and it's now more responsive to pair and connect with my windows laptop and pc
I got my keyboard for my Windows/custom gaming desktop. When I code I find the the keyboard I have makes my hands stretch out more and I use this instead makes coding a breeze.
Could you add the specs and details of the Bluetooth dogle you are using? I need to do the exact same thing and I was going to buy a Belkin dongle but I read somewhere that won't work so... I'd really apreciate it. Great job btw.
Great review for PC user how a review using the keyboard with an iPad mini. I am trying to decide whether to get the apple blue tooth keyboard or one of the case type keyboards such as made by Belkin.
For portability, I would say go with the case keyboards. However, I am more of a fan of the Apple keyboard so that is why I carry it when I am in need on one. I would say it depends on how much you would use it, as portability is nice!
I am new to the Apple Computer scene. I purchased an IMac a few years ago. I installed bootcamp and I am also using Win 10. While my IOS (Apple) was upgrading the power went out, and now my Apple will not boot up. I get a zero sign. However, I can boot windows (holding down option button). My recovery locks up as well. My research says that I need an flash boot disk (lion). I don't have one. Please advise how I can obtain one. Thanks
ahhh i think i found the vista version on my own, downloaded the drivers (even though the buttons were actually already working) seems to be working ok so far- have you had a similar problem like i stated though with it glitching and getting stuck typing one key for a while?
hey i have windows vista, does this work for that? im having issues finding the right bootcamp drivers. My keyboard has been working via bluetooth without it, but it keeps having this issue where i think it disconnects then gets stuck typing a random letter?? its really annoying, so i thought maybe downloading the drivers would help correct this. Btw your video has been very helpful, none of the others were really being clear as to where to get bootcamp
@techgooch when i researched it a bit i found that people had the problem on both mac and windows with the 2007 version of the keyboard where when they keyboard would go to sleep or disconnect, when hitting a key it would get stuck typing that same key. I found that turning it off and turning it back on and hitting some keys stops it- but it's still a little annoying. I saw they came out with a firmware update that fixed that problem- but im pretty sure i wont find a windows version of that-
I followed your directions step by step, however after extracting the msp file, there was no bin files just dll files and no files named keyboard just different languages on boot camp 3.1
I have the same one but on the top of f11 there is a battery image with a light indicator. I try to connect it by turning it on but it puts a blue light on for 2-3 seconds and turns off. Does this mean its still paired?
These are the worst keyboards on the market. very nice to use but the letters will fade out within a year! It's really a shame. I bought the wider wireless keyboard for more than 170 Euros and the letters were disappearing out after less than a year!
so my keyboard and mouse are wireless and there's a wireless chip i have to plug in to my computer....so when i plug in the 'lug, my keyboard and mouse wont respond. and when i click the connect button on the side, both the battery check button and the caps light up but the keyboard and mouse wont work. is it just my computer?
I can't find anyway to do it without being in system preferences 😔 I can't get past the password thing, though I don't have a password, I need to press enter..... THERES NO FRIGGIN ARROW BUTTON FOR ENTER...... There should be 😥 That's it I'm never getting this fixed...... The green light just flashes, it doesn't stay on.
@techgooch possible mine could be the 2007 version (i bought it at walmart rather then apple- it's the 2 battery one, think i got it little under a year ago tho-) any suggestions on how i could get a firmware update to work on windows?
