Phil Schiller really was amazing at keynotes. The passion and excitement he radiated was positively infectious. Everyone's reaction to the next-gen MacBook Pro was amazing. I miss this special connection with the audience at Apple's live events.
almost 10 years later, I still use the 128GB 11-inch macbook air, the way it stands the test of time is just fascinating to me, and the fixing that it needs throughout those years were just cleaning the dust out of the laptop, changing thermal paste, and changing battery which is really easy to DIY. Now, 2022, I'm about to start uni soon, it's time for me to really really get a new one and put this one to rest, I'm about to get the new Macbook Air M2, finger crossed it would serve me as well as this one did.
@@KabelkowyJoe I don't think it's down to a cost issue - the production value on the current keynote videos do not look cheap either. I think it's more down to firstly, they feel the new format is a better experience, and second that it mitigates risks of live tech failures happening on stage which would ruin the presentation.
@@XwD77 It was sacrasm, "better experience" are you kidding "live tech issues" - you mean helps to LIE about products being flawless such as iPhone 4 which was BADDLY designed for that reason Apple had to give case for free, so you acually found reason why to not give a damn about their current presentations and just wait until reviewers review products
im sp used tp apple since 2008, now watching this wwdc in 2024 make me realised that Apple is revolutionary and others follow their footsteps. Apple is truly original.
Every Time Phill Schiller gets on stage, my heart stops, my nervous system goes into euphoria, but my wallet sits in a corner and starts rocking back and forth like a mental patient.
Paniekzaaier tje Watch yourself. Scott Forstall presented iOS 6 features including Siri and Apple Maps similarly to what had been done in WWDC, but using the new iPhone 5 hardware. Search RU-vid or Apple Podcast for the Apple Event on Sep 12th, 2012 and jump to around 40:09. Do your own research before commenting with capital letters.
Paniekzaaier tje How can I reply...Go to 2:44 of this video and tell me whether the letters ‘WWDC’ are capital or not. WWDC is a registered trademark of Apple. I think I’m being very tolerant.
I know that this was nearly 12 years ago, but these guys have a way of making all of this technology sound new and exciting. I guess that's why they're the folks leading the conference lol
I wish apple would show more blind related things in wwdc these days. As a blind person who uses these products, it's kind of cool to hear such a familiar sound being exposed to the sighted world.
I remember watching an IMNC video where Tom said something like El Capitan (as in the Mac OS version) was a re-used name that was originally the codename of a G3 in 1999 or something like that.
He was also fired because Tim Cock didn’t like skeuomorphic design of iOS and wanted to change it, while Forstall liked skeuomorphic! I would rather fire Johny Ive and bring Scott back!
To me, iOS 12 is the iOS 6 of Modern apple (if that makes since. ) one thing I love about today is that iOS and every os has become more fun and friendly. Like Apple is still apple but with more fun with Animoji and emojis, the iMessage effects and stickers. It’s more inviting. Love and respect the apple of yesterday but love the Apple of today as well 💯
In fairness in 2012 it was for the top of the line laptop whereas now it’s for the base model. Although I do agree with your fundamental point that 8gb RAM and 256gb of storage as standard in the base model is ridiculous.
1:06 They somewhat predicted the codename for Android Kitkat (It was supposed as Key Lime Pie but since the dessert is unfamiliar, they chose KitKat instead)
Watching this on my Black MacBook. I can't believe they dropped ML support for the old MacBooks, especially as ML runs better than Lion. I can still run it, but I have to use MacPostFactor.
@@JunshuLiu why did you whoosh the person who said “there’s no series 9”? It’s true! There’s no need to whoosh him, because current Apple Watch now is Series 6
@@user-xp9sf2dx6t I know it’s true, but he/she didn’t get the joke. Clearly it was a joke. That’s how you use r/woosh command. It doesn’t mean he/she is not right.
I wanna talk to Apple on RU-vid but ended up denial because they (Apple) don't really care about comments. So they remove discussions and comments on every video if I'm watching on Apple channel but I can have permission to like or dislike. But if I'm watching older Apple videos like I'm watching today, I can add public comments
Well, its not even the scratchiness, he just doesn't have as great a voice as say Steve Jobs did. I'm sure Mr. Cook is a great guy, but I just don't like the way his voice sounds
