Hello! I fell in a hole the other day and I landed on my ankle and felt something pop. Since then, the pain in my ankle has risen towards my calf and my leg is starting to feel numb and hard to move. (It feels very stiff) I'm not exactly sure what's wrong. I've looked online and I don't want to just assume the worst because that's how people start to freak out and I don't want to get worked up over nothing. Any suggestions or comments? I could really use the advice please!
Thanks I needed this because I was racing my dog with the dog and the dog went on my other side and then I flipped the other side the dog was heading and then there was a hole in the grass and I fell and sprained my ankle My dad didn’t believe me but I encouraged him to take a x ray at the ER and then the thingy next to the bone was torn half and then I went back home and watched your video and wrapped it with elastic bandage from The company bandage 🩹. Thanks 🤗
I wouldn't ask too much advice here... she said dont wrap with wrinkles, that wrap she did looks like a 90 year old ladies skin wrapped around his foot
I'm a physiotherapy student, the way we were taught, you are supposed to expose the joint while applying the figure of 8 bandage, this isn't right. No offense intended
A for effort but I gotta say that that was a terrible demonstration! I get that it was most likely just for teaching viewers so it doesn’t have to be perfect but there were creases all in that application!! Lol Video served its purpose as an example! Just couldn’t have been applied like that to a real patient! I’m trying to learn how to wrap an entire like with ace bandage using the criss cross method! It’s confusing to me. My momma had a pretty bad accident causing 2nd and 3rd degree burns so it’s super important that I get it right! Doctors and nurses said that the crisscross method is far more superior than regular spiral wrapping because it holds pressure more evenly vs putting more pressure points on just the shins! Even pressure is especially important because of the skin graft surgeries!
You most likely have an extra bone or your foot is not being supported enough. Both of those things happened to me, and I had a big ball on the side of my foot when it happened, I would wear the bandage for extra support until you can get to a foot dr. Wrap the bandage around the part that hurts instead of your entire foot. You don’t have to do this, but that is what I did and it helped actually helped. Also I would say to test it for 1-2 weeks
