Well, it only took 2 or 3 videos to find out that I am absolutely doing it wrong! Appreciate the step by step and will be looking forward to not reapplying two to three times a day!
I can't even tell you how much you've changed my life with this. I wanted to try this but wasn't sure what would happen. When I was using paste alone my dentures would start to feel loose around 2 or so in the afternoon. I was lucky if I could make it through dinner. I can't even wear my bottom plate. Using the method I watched here I can wear my upper plate until bedtime now. Thank you too the moon and back!
Hi Justin, I've watched a fair few of your videos the last couple of months while I was preparing to get my full dentures. I got them 3 days ago, I previously had an upper partial but things got so bad. My teeth have always had issues since I was little so this year I decided to have my remaining teeth out & get a full set. I didn't get immediates but instead waited about 6 weeks after extractions to get a permanent set. This video is so helpful! I do need adhesive already due to initial gum shrinkage. Right now I'm only using the paste but this video is brilliant as it shows me how to do the paste and then the powder for When I may need both! Thank you!! Also, just to add, I am finding your video list very clear. It's really easy to go back & find one of your videos when I need it for reference. The titles of your videos are very good & your instructional videos are again, clear & straight to the point so you have become my teacher for all the practical stuff! You are a huge help & you're always right there when I need you! 😁 Thanks so much! Jill
Thank you very much I have just gotten a new set of dentures I have used powder and glue on them but couldn't understand why they fit. Thanks to watching your video I now know what I did wrong.
I have used a fine water-mist spritzer that works SOMETIMES. I think I haven’t been giving them enough time to set before I eat. Thanks again for sharing your method as it fine- tunes mine! 😁
I used your method for applying adhesive today and it was the best every other tutorial I watched said three dabs but it never said to spread it out with a q tip. I did that today and I hope it's easier to remove the adhesive at the end of today
I got dentures for the first time a few months ago (almost a year I guess).... I had not truly read or watch how to apply the adhesive.. thank you! I just tried it.. waiting for the half hour to pass and see if it works! Thanks!!
B Your explation talk is the best detailed break down compared to other talkers. Thank you so much. I will be repeating your excellent detailed. And will be so glad to have a more comfortable experience. OH i have never seen the powder before. Thank you. Ence
😂😂😂I thought I was the only person that used 2 products. Powder for the upper and the cream for the bottom. I've found if I rinse my mouth with Listerin the adhesive comes off easy. Thank you for sharing 😊
Thank You So Much 😁 I really appreciate that you have shown us How To Use…You are the BEST!! I’ve seen 3 of your videos. I feel pretty lucky to have found ALL I NEED in your videos! Thanks for the reviews and especially HOW TO USE IT!! My eyes are bad and I cannot read these very tiny letters for the instructions. I clicked on your Amazon, but why would I want to buy FOUR TUBES? Am I really going to need FOUR tubes to start? Maybe link a smaller portion…I don’t want to store 4 tubes…prefer only two tubes. Thanks Again ❤❤❤❤ You do a really great job on your descriptions and how to use!!! 🤗🤗🤗🔥🔥🔥🔥♥️
I bought the denture strips, one because of just having the extractions and just wasn't sure about the adhesive going in where I had extractions, and two, I thought it would help keep the lower from moving and making my sores worse. It did help and put me at ease with not worrying about the paste.🤷♀️ It's all new to me 🤦
Hi Justin thank you for the information, you look so young it doesn't matter how old you are to wear dentures thank you so much for the INFORMATION 😁😃😃😃😉👍👍👍
@@SandyBanning-wy6hddo you mix the paste and powder together or do you have another method of using both at once? I was thinking of sprinkling the powder over the paste as usually don’t use a q tip for application, I just lay a thick bead of paste. Thanks
I have never heard of or dentist mention powder adhesive.I have a problem with removal of adhedive on my gums.Almost impossible to remove and hurts the senditive skin.I end up swallowing it over night and worry it may affect stomach lining.
That was very helpful! I’m brand new to partials as I just got my final fitting done today. Although they feel pretty good, my dentist mentioned that I might try Fixodent to give me a bit more confidence to eat with them. So, I was looking for any information I could find on how to use it, as well as to what kind I should try. So thanks for posting the video! ☮️
Hi I'm having all my teeth out in the next few weeks not looking forward to it as I don't think the pallet will make me sick hopefully not but was worried about them staying in I'm 57 now and have had my teeth knocked out with a patient and the rest went bad but after watching your videos I'm looking forward to getting them it seams most of the produces you have we in the UK don't like denture reliners Thanks
im new to dentures and this is a great help cause im learning and who better to ask,my teeth were fine its the gums and bone which made for loose teeth im learning to eat again and im starving ty for the videos theyve helped me
I don't use any because I can't remove them. I take out several times a day to clean after eating. I have temps x 13 days. I didn't really get any info on what to do. I still sleep with them at night. I'm going to check out more of your videos to see what I should be doing. I've had no pain at all after from where my teeth were pulled. There's times I've had soreness after removing my dentures to clean but ibuprofen knocks it out pretty quick.
So that's what the big brush is for! No one ever told me. They just said use a regular one to use regular toothpaste to clean my new teeth. Secondly someone said to use the powder on top of the fixodent glue. It works but not great. And you showed a better way using three dots and spreading it around. I was putting a single line in the groove which doesn't really cover all the surface. Thanks so much I'll try your way and let you know!
The big brush is a denture brush. You can you any brush as long as the bristles are soft! No hard! But you do not want to use regular tooth paste. The stuff in it can scratch and damage the dentures. You want to use a denture cleaner like Oap, fresh n brite or dr b’s.
I use basically the same method except I spray a fine spray mist of water to stop the powder from flying down my throat when I place my upper in place.
Hi there, I just recently got my dentures and have been having a horrible time with them. Just tried your method of applying the adhesive and am waiting a half hour. Thanks for the help!
About two weeks from getting my dentures. Really appreciate your video about all the questions others have had. I really am greatful for your having takin the time to share your experience and input. Looking forward to my own smile again. And have already dealt with the lack of teeth for about a year and a half. My new smile will definitely give me a huge boost of self esteem I have greatly needed. Thanks again Sir
Hi Justin, thanks for the video. My dentures make me wonder if they did it right. Tell me does your lower denture stick out away from the gum? I have a big gap front and back. Course I fill it with denture adhesive. But curious if the gap is normal.
Just thank you for this video. I had so many problems with keep the partials in. I never knew about the powder. I'm going to get this as well. Oh and the clean up getting the glue out of my mouth was a problem. I am going to get that denture brush. This video was so very helpful. I just want to thank you for this. You are saint.
Hi I'm new to dentures I've had him for 5 days and just got my whole my pulled and they called white bumps on the top of my mouth and redbone against the bottom of my mouth and I can't get it in if it's extremely painful I appreciate you explaining how to put in but I still don't understand completely and need any help understanding a cushion the brands with Pace to use because they put in when I was numb and now a day later I had to take them out cuz it grew a big red bump at the bottom and white bump at the top and I can't get the denture past it it hurts bad
Where do you apply the pressure for 10 seconds, to fix to the top denture? Do you press on the teeth and the roof of the mouth part together, or just at the front? Your advice is appreciated.
Which dentist did you get your denture from? I'm probably going to need an upper arch denture within the next few years and I want to make sure I get a perfect comfortable fit like you did. I'm in Mass, but I would be willing to travel thousands of miles if necessary, because being able to chew "real" foods like steak, etc. is so important for good health.
Poligrip adhesive and powder are quite the denture lock BUT. the lowers loosen up with certain bite force and definitely with any hot drink. My lower gum is so thin nothing will keep it in once I eat. Just have to get used to it
TIL: 1) Dry off the plate before applying the paste. 2) Wait at least 30 minutes before eating/drinking. I guess I'll be putting in my denture before hopping in the shower from now on.
i use poligrip it works awesome top and bottom last me till next day it was supposed to be every 12 hr but seem strong. i have bone spurs so i use liquid more for that. my dad use seabond but i try it was hurting bad because of bone so poligrip working very good and strong definitely sucks waiting to get dentures stronger before eating 😆
Great video & THANK YOU for responding to comments and questions. HERE’S mine: After applying the powder, do you rinse your mouth or wet anything else or just pop them in?
I’ve had an upper plate for a few years now, still barely eat with them in so I don’t eat out… tried paste once and gaged liked crazy from the paste after popping my plate out. Retrying it today and will try hot water and my dentures brush on the gums
Good morning Justin! I'm new to your channel I love it I'm using the same fixident ultra hold that you use but now my question is how long do I hold my dentures top and bottoms in with my fingers to stick to my guns PLEASE LET ME KNOW thank you so very much.
Thanks Joey. When I put my dentures in, I press both in firmly for maybe 10 seconds. Then I’ll just clench down on my bite, not too much! But I do this for 10-15 mins.
I will redo my comments must have deleted its self. I have tried Fixident powder and Fixident ultra max alone and together. Didn't work I tried Secure alone and with Fixident powder. Secure by itself, both ways no avail. Tried Denttach alone and with Fixident powder. No luck. Have you tried Denttach? I'm getting frustrated there immediate dentures .I've either end up with a mouth full of adhesive or bottoms floating up when eating . Going on 2 months haven't been able to eat with them yet. Food sticks to top dentures and are loose. I going back Friday for adjustment. Getting very discouraged, thinking I made a huge mistake. Any advice, comments would be appreciated. 😢
Ive got an issue. For the past month my immediate dentures have been making me gag alot. Today I fixed my immediate dentures with sea bond and secure. Used this before and it didn't work out. Today about 5 minutes after I had my dentures inmy my mouth I started to gag really bad then I had to run to the bathroom. They had made me sick from gagging. Now what? Can't eat with them and can't eat without them!😮😮😮😮
no toothpaste just very warm water if you mean to remove the adhesive? I always brush my gums for stimulation and also my tongue just to keep things fresh and clean.
Not sure about the dye or zinc affecting you. Most people don’t have any symptoms or side effects from the adhesive. The excess zinc did cause some issues for me so I switched to a zinc free for my uppers.
So are you saying to use both products at the same time? Or are you just explaining two different application choices ? you put paste first, then the powder should stick to the paste without water, right? So obviously, you aren't saying to use both at the same time 😅 im a bit ditsy lol
I use one or the other. I don’t combine. I showed how to apply either denture. With paste apply to dry denture and insert in mouth. The powder I keep the denture a little wet and apply. Shake off extra and get very slightly wet on top of powder before insert. I just wet my hand and drip like 5-6 drops on powder to help wet
Today I learned a couple things. Thanks! I’ve tried two creams, they work well, but I have some zinc free powder coming Saturday via Amazon. Looking forward to comparing the two types for my upper and lower partials. I also ordered up some fresh and bright cleaning paste. Have you ever used that? Worth it?
Fresh n brite works well but it doesn’t kill all the germs do you might need another for occasional use. I used fresh n brite every then every 3 or 4 days dr b’s liquid crystals
Hello, so I just got able to fully glue in my denture and when I took it out to go to sleep my gums started bleeding is that normal or did I do something wrong?
nobody talks about how to get the adhesive off your freshly tooth-extracted gums that are just starting to heal. I had NO IDEA how difficult that stuff was gonna be to get off my gums and roof of my mouth. Is the powder easier to get off? ? ?
I’m 4 months out and I’ve been using poly grip powder on my top and poly grip ultra paste on my bottom. Holds till about 6:00 and I’m sick of them by then anyway.
