Not the 60c, but it's ergo and rugged in a way PD doesn't approach, and the rci does fit under and is very easy to remove and replace.

I'm sure it would with the 6 or 7, placed grip down. Doing that with the 9 causes a huge waste of space. Personally I'm fine with them disconnected. Takes an extra 5 seconds to connect them. By the time you take off the bag and unzip it, it's very minor. If you need instant access, you should sling it on your side outside the pack ready to go. :)

Actually none of those changes are correct except the material. My red and blue fjord 60c's are identical in every regard except the red is better for the planet. No let down in quality at all. They actually made changes to their original design. For example you can get the 60c/36 and 26 today (not on KS) and they come with removable belt. There are a few exceptions depending on colour. So I believe the changes they are showing in KS are compared to their original design.

Been doing it for years in well padded bags with zero issues. Less dust on the sensor than reversed, but you can go either way...

I've been keeping attached big heavy lenses to flagship bodies in my bags for many many years, maybe 25 years! Never once had a bent mount or needed a single repair ever, in my 25 years with Nikon, I am heading to Nikon NPS repair in Los Angeles because I mistakenly tried to change the front rubber main grip last night and ran into an issue where the rubber grip is screwed into the structure of the D850 and needs to be taken apart completely to change the rubber. That is the worst and most painful thing I've experienced. I've had a few lockup's or error messages but never a repair. So absolutely it is safe, just buy a good bag with good protection and strong bottom/divider's and you'll be good. I also make sure my gear is as snug as possible, no room to slide around or bounce around. I run with my bag, I ride my ebike at 25mph trhough town with it on my back, climbed a mountain with it. Plus it weighs 44lbs last time I checked, lol. Luckily I cut a few pounds by selling my third camera and just having 4 lenses. I own a D6/D850 and 28mm f/1.4E, 24-70mm VR, 70-200FL and 500FL plus two 1.4x TC-14E III's for my telephoto lenses as I often need both at once. I prefer teleconverters with my lenses over cropping although I do both most of the time. I always try to fill the frame and never like to crop more than 20% on my D5/D6 but on the D850 I'll go as far as DX crop. So for me it's the perfect setup. I sold my Z9, not for me. Maybe one day if I feel Nikon truly replaces the D6, I'll buy the next flagship Z? Anyways not here to argue or explain why, it's just I'm old school. I prefer to tell my camera where to focus and don't like the camera telling me where it thinks I want it to. My D5 and now D6 just don't miss unless I mess up, at least with my fast focusing lenses...I average 97% hit rates!

You'll never imagine it's only velcro holding it. Insanely strong stuff. To remove the waist belt (which I'd never do personally on this pack) you need to push a little thin plastic cutting board or something inbetween the pack and belt to avoid the insane velcro they use damaging your fingernails trying to force it apart. It's not coming loose by accident. Trust me.

@@HudsonHenryPhoto thank you! That inspired a lot of confidence. Do you happen to recall which video you actually did that in? (Swing the bag around to your front and open it.) I feel like I’ve seen you do it, though I’m not sure if it was with the newer or original version.

I don't think I have. While it's certainly possible, it's never been my preferred method. I take it off a shoulder and rest it on my thigh if it's heavy and the ground is too wet or dirty, but in general I like it off while really working.

I have both a NYA-EVO 60C and also a Shimoda 25 (but have just backed the Kickstarter for a 36L NYA-EVO one also). (also had the Shimoda x30 and Peak design bags - I love the Shimoda but the NYA-EVO for me has deeper camera inserts (so great for the larger camera bodies) and also has Molle attachments on the belts. The Shimoda doesn't have that, may not be an issue for some but I often carry lens or camera pouch on the belt for quick access - and don't like to have a chest pack. Both Great bags though in my view - I'd love to see the NYA-EVO take the shoulder strap design from Shimoda - as it's nice to be able to carry phone/etc there. Pro's and cons to each - Shimoda more sleek and I like the way you can hide the water bottle/tripod pockets but I like the design of the NYA-EVO's just slightly more. Can't have too many bags right ??

I don't trust the shoulder strap attachments shimoda uses and I'm no fan of thier camera inserts. NYA-EVO has a much more well designed bag in my opinion and certainly one I'd trust more on a true adventure or big trip. I'd place it NYA-EVO, f-stop then shimoda.

@@HudsonHenryPhoto Not had an issue with the Shimoda's (but watched your video where you described your issues) - I wish the Shimoda inserts were deeper, the dividers free up a little more space - but I have been using the NYA-EVO more and look forward to having a 36L one also. I have had a few F-Stop bags and whilst originally I thought they were great.. they seemed to stop innovating - i.e. no removal belts or sensible pockets on the sides etc. I'd agree though that Jensen did a great job and the NYA-EVO has got to the top of my fav bag list.

The 800 is a bit big for that, so are some other big primes. You could get away with it with some of the smaller long zooms though. I also don't really like to reorder that much. It's nicer for me to have my landscape and travel kit and my big kit easily ready to go depending on what pops up on the road. Yep all the NYA-EVO bags have removable hip belts, but I can't imagine removing them. :)

@@HudsonHenryPhoto because I use a Spiderholster belt system as part of my walk around carry for my gear I've recently discovered I can pull the hipbelt from my mindshift elite 45L and feed my spider holster through the hip-belt slot... I lose the hip-belt pockets but this allows me to keep the pack on my back while the camera attached on the holster without doubling up what is around my waist. This is a really nice option for shooting while moving around, like nature preserves etc. If I want the option to shoot without having to stop and unpack my bag each time when I am not staying in one spot nor do I have a safe place I can drop my pack this became a game changer.

You know I got to thinking about it and decided to try it out thanks to you. It's tight but without the hood (using a neoprene stretchy lens cover) the 800 does just fit the large rci up the middle. I can put the 100-400 and 24-120 to one side, and the Z9, 14-24 and 112 kase filter set on the other. The 1.4 TC also fits on top of the 800s skinny end. That's the kitchen sink set up! :) thanks.

@@HudsonHenryPhoto Glad I could offer a different train of thought... 14 - 2576mm in 1 bag 🤣🤣🤣I wouldn't use it as an always packing situation but I was thinking for travel ... 800 and other gear goes into the 1 bag... med insert goes separate as personal item carry on (the mind shift version has a carry strap on the insert) filled with what ever odds and ends. Then for moving around w the gear daily u can choose which insert you throw in the bag depending on the day's need and unused gear can stay in the unsued insert safely stashed. Also means since your using 1 same bag but just changing the insert the way you use the rest of the bag, where you have your other supplies etc never changes and you never run the risk of forgetting to switch batteries and other stuff like that from 1 to the other. (oh... link to what ur talking about stretchy neoprene covers and the camera's rain cover(urs looks really compact and small but still not disposable and I've been looking for something like that to throw in my bag) plz)

Yeah. V2 gets more gear in. Black is better than the older grey.

I have an original and one of the newly releasing ecovynl models. They're the same, the new one is made of recycled fishing nets and it's just as great a quality, but better for the planet. I carry my gear in them for all my workshops and trips domestic or international. For expeditions and backpacking adventures, I toss the RCI into my big Gregory pack of course.

It will be up soon. Mine is one of the first. All thier colors are fabulous.

I rarely use hoods except to protect from rain. The new coatings are so good and I love shooting into backlight. I do keep the Hb97 in the bag to work with my 112mm kase filters on the 14-24 or any of the 2.8 S zooms. In the rare case I need a hood, I certainly don't sacrifice padded room in the bag to keep it on my lens. Plenty of room elsewhere. :) The exception to all this is the 800PF. The hood is there to buffer and protect that big front element from hitting anything on that lens.

All over the US, EU, Austrailia and Mexico for the past 2 years the answer is 100% yes. The pack expands in both height and depth (backpadding out) to reach 60C. Without the upper drybag deployed and with the expansion zippers for the front pocket zipped, it's well within carryon compliance. No one has ever even asked me and I've flown many dozens of times with it domestically and abroad on a wide range of carriers. The c in the name is for carry on.
