My wife gave me your cook book for Xmas and it's super. Love the ciambella recipe, great breakfast cake! Also I ABSOLUTELY ADORE your "Where to eat drink and sleep" series! That needs to be turned into a 30 minute TV series of 6 episodes :D
I really enjoyed this video a lot. I think it may be my favorite of the ones I have seen by your channel. I wish we could see the inside of the apricot one, but I know it has to cool. I have never seen 'Willow' here in the U.S. so I would use butter. I looked it up and would like to try it but honestly I don't think we have anything here that would be a substitute besides regular butter. What a lovely woman to cook with I bet she has a lot of secrets for cooking!
Wow, it looks really beautiful and I wish I could see what is it like when it is cut. I am curious to see what happened to the crushed biscuits inside, surely it must have a lovely texture .
My nonna used to make a similar torta with the apricot jam, the amaretti, but instead of the pastry topping she minced very, very finely some almonds and a single bitter almond (usually the dried kernel of an apricot) and folded them into some beaten egg whites with sugar and spread this meringue on the top of the torta about halfway into cooking (if I remember right).
