If Aqua does give up revenge, then Akane won and kept her word about stopping his plan which would be wonderful to see. Unfortunately, despite this turnout I feel that Aka is planning something dark soon. Still going to keep hoping that this isn’t the case.

Honestly this chapter was so sweet, I kinda like how Kana’s feelings were justified and why she likes Aqua, it adds depth to her character and the ship, and for the kana fans saying Akane lost, she didn’t, she won in her own way 🥹 let’s hope both of them get a good ending, I’d cry if either of them died now. Everyone has a death flag now lmao: “she’s my only precious little sister” sus, hanging out with Arima: sus, Akane knowing about hikaru: major sus. Ok and unpopular opinion but, Frill best girl, I adore Frill so damn much she’s so hilarious for no reason, she won my heart in the few scenes she appears in the manga

After all the memes, jokes and insults towards Kana, this chapter taste like glory.

I always knew it, since the baseball scene in the manga, he realized he didn't have romantic feelings for Akane while he was just staring at Kana giggling and talking to herself. Also in the tokyo blade play when he was just staring at Kana with wide eyes and even Akane got jealous and told him he should stare at her since they were dating but he just kept stalking Kana wherever she went.

Goro before finding out that sarina is alive: "How dare you enjoy your life, make him suffer just like what he did to Ai...😈" Goro after finding out that Sarina is alive: "No need to take revenge bro, rizz up yo girl and live a nice life😊"

I don’t think Aqua and Goro are the same person anymore. I think they split into to different people but are sharing the same body. Aqua is the one who controls the body since it’s actually his body but Goro has a very strong influence over Aqua and basically tells him that he can’t be happy until he gets revenge on his father for Ai’s death. Goro controls Aqua’s emotions and uses Aqua’s traumatic experience with Ai’s death to convince him that he must get revenge. That’s why that one time Aqua thought his father was dead, thus ending his revenge, he thinks to himself if it’s really over and if he’s finally free.

I’m so happy for Kana, after wayyyyyyy to many Ls she finally got a win. Say what you will about Kana but I think it is plain to see that she brings out the best/ the light in Aqua. However, now that Kana has finally got a win and Aqua is finally overcoming his past. I want to see Ruby fall is love with someone else, so that she can heal from her past love. There might be a low chance that she does but it will be something good to see. Goro is about to no longer be a part of this world in any shape form or fashion so it would be good for Ruby to finally let him go too.

I guess Kana won Because Ruby had a one sided crush and Akane doesn't have any romantic feelings for him but i still think he will go after his dad

Wait, when Aqua said “Acting is my form of revenge”, he has the BRIGHT staringan.

This chapter makes me thinking about the true message of Onk: I think it is not about revenge, but about forgiveness and how forgiveness can save people from hatred and make them happy. Before dying, Ai chose to forgive Ryosuke. Will Ruby choose to forgive Hikaru ? It is the most important decision in the movie, she faced this dilemma in chapter 147. And for Aqua, we'll see in the next chapters. I don't think Hikaru will attack Kana because she is not a threat for him, contrary to Ruby who want to surpass Ai, and Akane who watch him.

While I previously dropped this after 149, I checked the spoilers just in case something happened, and oh boy did something happen.

Death flags for days

Death flags abound. There is no way the writing will have Aqua give up on revenge and move on to Kana this early without interacting with Hikaru. It heavily foreshadows something very dark before the main climax. Recalling the flash forward on Aqua's interview, it's more or less inferred with his black eyes, that he is still dead set on revenge.

That interview that you showed should’ve already happened. Look closely at Aqua’s hair and you’ll see that it’s the haircut he had back in the earlier chapters where one side is cut shorter than the other. However, his hair style has already changed from that one to one that’s more even on both sides. Indicating that Aqua already had that interview

That last panel of Kana is phenomenal, gotta love Mengo's illustrations! Since we're approaching the end of the volume, I get the ghastly feeling of something big on the horizon, way too much foreshadowing going on in this chapter. Was nice to see Aqua's pov in regards to his feelings towards Kana & Ruby while acknowledging he has a big choice to make, but there's that hint of emphasis on whether he follows through any of this...ty for the vid as always, your narration game is honestly great!

I'm seeing death flags for Kana. Like I said before, I don't think Aka-sensei plans on making AquaKana endgame. It feels like we're in the calm before the storm right now and Aka-sensei is trying to trick us into feeling at ease with this romantic storyline when the Hikaru conflict is still right around the corner. I think it's very much possible Akane's plan (having Aqua give up on his revenge by making Kana date him) will backfire, unintentionally making Kana a target for Hikaru. On a sidenote, I'm glad that Aqua officially closed the door on the incest ship, stating he doesn't have romantic feelings for Ruby and that Ruby doesn't really love him but instead his past self that doesn't exist anymore, an illusion which I think she'll snap out of eventually.

This chapter confrims aqua's feelings towards kana . I also looked back at chapters as well ok it does make sense to aqua to have this kind of feeling for kana bcoz it was hinted throughout the story but it was bcoz akane induced the thought to aqua on beach you should not go for revenge . Think about your life kind of moment . In the end Akane will feel hurt and sad but she will happy and he will safe . Accomplishing akane 's goal . But everything here going very happily maybe we will see chaos in next few chapters .

In all the manga we saw aqua have romantic feeling with kana, he just doesn't show it because of his revenge saw it doesn't impresive it's just the logic conclusion

The interview took place before the recording of the movie. The interview asks "this us your first acting job" and Ruby says "it will work out because she has Aqua" therefore they hadn't started recording yet.

I think.....this is very out of topic for this chapter..but, did anyone notice that the current nino's hair looks similar to Kana's mother's hair in her flashbacks during episode 11?........I really can't shake the feeling that this is signifying Kana is going to be a pawn for Hikaru in the future...........

Pretty solid chapter to say the least, but regarding what might happen in future chapters. I don’t know about you, but I kinda don’t exactly trust Taiki and Frill anymore. I could be Totally Wrong about this, but I have a feeling that the two of them are secretly working together under Hikaru Kamiki. In the case of Taiki, it could be that Hikaru actually took Taiki under his wing after the Lovers suicide incident. And then secretly raised Taiki so that he would follow Hikaru’s will. As for Frill, even after all these chapters, we still don’t know what agency she works for specifically. There are already MULTIPLE theories that Frill is actually Hikaru and Ariri’s secret daughter, considering the fact that Frill bears a VERY VERY similar look as Ariri. And that she actually works for Kamiki Productions in secret. Taiki literally said in chapter 138 that it was “Their Responsibility” to take matters into their own hands in order to make amends for their “PARENTS” mistakes. Then immediately after he said that he specifically looked at Frill as if to ask if she understood what he meant. In regards to Hikaru, his mistake would most definitely be Aqua and Ruby EXISTENCE. It’s entirely possible that both Taiki and Frill will betray Aqua and Ruby and literally Stab them in the backs🔪. All in favor of their “FATHER”!!!

To be honest, the interview can still be relevant either way. He either just changed his mind before or be lying if it was after.

While this does lessen his chance of going out for revenge, I doubt it will completely stop him once Hikaru and Aqua meet up.

Kana is so in wuv, yay About the revenge plot, remember that Aqua was the mastermind behind '15 year lie' and I doubt that he will abandon revenge fully just because Sarina lived on in Ruby and the romantic development between him and Kana. The best way for the revenge to be carried out is to capitalise on the public's reactions and opinion of the movie, as well as collaborating with Akane as she can do detective work to bring out Hikaru's serial killing to light. Then either there would be vigilantes un-aliving Hikaru or he will be convicted by law and sentence to life imprisonment or ex*cuted. This way, Aqua will avoid the path of self-destruction and better keep his loved ones safe

Akane saying “she will get back with Aqua” we all know she saying that so Kana can make a move already and if she is serious about that, Aqua will say a clear no, and they didn’t even mention Akane when Aqua was dreaming. Kana doesn’t need Akane help, like last chapter Kana say you got do it at the right time which is correct because Aqua isn’t in the right state to date at all even though Kana doesn’t know that. Akane just wants Kana to hurry up. The last panel is so beautiful of Kana, since they gonna hang out, I feel like the next chapter it’s gonna be like the date from chapter 73 or something else can happen… People saying that Kana is confess to Aqua but I don’t think she is, but if she does, there’s a good chance that Aqua is gonna reject Kana because Hikaru is still out there, I hope that Aqua tells the reason why to Kana, I want Aqua to tell Kana he does love her but he’s currently not in right state to date at all and Kana will understand. But we all know that Aqua true love interest is Kana.

But someone like Kana who pretty much don't know anything about that revenge or not someone connected to any of that (because Ai, Ruby and Akane are all connect with). If Aqua and Kana get together which indicates that Hekaru didn't have someone honest and pure lover like kana in his life who would love him honestly without any lies but Aqua have and that's the difference between father and son (star eyes = liar VS galaxy eyes = honest ).

Ruby or Kana getting killed would force Aqua to get revenge again. If Ruby gets killed, Goro would go ballistic and if Kana gets killed, Aqua will be devastated. Tbh, Ruby seems to be in greater danger after her talk with Hikaru.

Theres a chance kana is a spy affiliated with kamiki as sge always stares out of the panel, and shes always hypefocused on only the outside panel and aqua. When she was talking to akane, she mightve used her cry in ten seconds to make akane pity her and stuf yada yada. Idk if im being hyper sensitive, but i feel like that theory might be true, and thats the "dark" thing that Kana is going for. We do know shes an actor who immerses in her role until its like her daily life, and shes so good at all the things that she needs for aqua. This might be happiest story, or biggest betrayal, especially since we still havent fully zoomed in on what kana does, especially when b komachi took that long break, mem cho was streaming, ruby was busy with that revenge, now its only Kana...

Honestly, this chapter just enforces a theory I had cooked last chapter, that Hikaru will kill Kana, and that will only cause Aqua to spiral even more into revenge. I mean, think about it. Would Aqua really give up on revenge like that, without even interacting with Hikaru? And out of all the people to die, it would be Kana. She's had the most Ls out of all the cast, so her dying would be the most tragic. Her dying would also raise the stakes and work to sell Hikaru as a genuine threat. I unfortunately don't have hope that Kana and Aqua will get together, as I feel as though this is just Aka and Mengo planning something dark in future chapters. Trust me, I've read stories similar to this, and I can tell you it doesn't end well and leaves me emotionally distraught lol. With that out of the way, I am glad that Aqua sibling-zoned Ruby. Sad he didn't tell her to her face, but this is good enough for me. At least I can finally stop taking heavy amounts of copium and just pray for Ruby to have a romantic relationship with someone who isn't related to her. *looks to Melt sweating* Yes, while the whole Aqua x Ruby ship was happening, I was just trying to find another male character to ship Ruby with that wasn't related to her, and the only option was Melt, so I guess you could say I was crack-shipping/copium-shipping these two lol. After chapter 144, I can safely say that I was pretty hyped to see these two interact some more, so I do hope we see more of these two in the future! Anyway, that's all I got! I didn't come up with too many theories, but I am curious to hear everyone's thoughts on this!
