I checked for update on this project every week since July. I think it will be the best custom pc ever created on planet. Your attention to detail is astonishing, blasted aluminium/machined chamfers looks great, and overall style is clean, without too much fancy colours etc...

As a person who loves CNC machining and who has a love for Design, this gives me inspiration that despite the technicalities of any design, it can be done masterfully with the right mindset and equipment.

I wonder if watching these builds will ever get old for me. Great stuff

I’ve always wondered how do you clean up after acrylic? That stuff must go everywhere. You appear to work in such a small space, and what you able to achieve is amazing! Would love to see you organisation suggestion and tips! Great work and video!

I love the way the aluminium looks to melt away like liquid metal during the time lapse shots.

Looks really good and should fit the rest of the system quite well but I recommend you put some thermal pads between the covers and the dccs so that they dont get too toasty.

If you plan on making more. i would suggest you see about getting some relieved chank endmills (0.1-0.01 total relief) for the deeper work (past 10mm total depth) - and perhaps when you make an aluminium fixture plate. make one for doing multiple parts op 1 only. that wat you get a bunch to put on the shelf. and then have another plate that can hold and locate on op 1 and do the rest. just 1-2 parts

The old ones look like painted plastic next to these ;-) Looking forward to seeing what you do to that poor, innocent 4000D. Especially after what you did to its big brother last time: Step 1, get case out of box. Step 2, take it to pieces and throw it all away :-D

I have no machining experience whatsoever.....but that's beautiful work.

Since you mention making a more long term fixture plate...I know you're more considering it because it's a part you'd use again, but do you think items like these, certain distro plates for case mod projects inpopular cases, and your custom water cooling fittings are items that could be financially viable to sell at some point? I think there'd be some interest. Obviously it depends on how you'd be able to price them after material and machining costs, but you've put in all the work and they're extremely beautiful. You really create incredible bespoke artisan items and I think there's an opportunity there, most people in this hobby are prepared to pay a premium for water cooling components. Also I think that many of the people that want to support you would be inclined to buy a more expensive but truly unique item that reflects your skills, rather than a printed mug or tshirt. I know it's a big task, but I'd also really really love to see you tackle a DIY CNC build, maybe one specifically designed for production of certain staple items. Like, long and narrow format for space saving and more easily achievable rigidity, with ATC for automation. With your skills and attention to detail the result would be incredible, and you'd increase your production capacity for potential new revenues that take advantage of all the work you're already putting into these parts..

Would the EK heatsinks respond to glass blasting the same way as the aluminium used here? Thinking for modders that want the EK design but not the overly-shiny default appearance.

Ironically just got a call from a company in the states. Previously they only had access to Datron as part of a quote system, as they didn’t have continuous stock. So the price today could be different from tomorrow. They now carry them in stock, so they have consistent pricing! Now to save up to buy some bits! 😂

edit: disregard that comment for that build, the gpu is on the backside of the mobo. given the current price and availability of gpus, I think a "waterslide" plate under the cpu block to avoid any potential spill from ruining the GPU might be a sensible idea.

1:42 I'm trying to make my own distro plate but i don't know much about the bits so can someone tell me what this bit is?

My question for you is if you have all this fancy machinery and you know how to use it, why could you not make your own waterblock for the 3090? That is what I would be doing if I had the equipment that you do!

if you hate that radiatror, ill take it. i love the Barrow Chameleon. they are really cheap and for how cheap they are they are really well made. in terms of performance i couldnt see anything different from Bykski, Alphacool or EK radiators
