Namor is the new-comer into the MCU and as the Lord of the seas - he’s insanely powerful. He’s even been said to be as powerful as Thor, and when he gets into the water, to be as strong as the Hulk. So yeah…I’d say he’s pretty impressive
And today, well we’re gonna really put that to the test! By throwing this king of the oceans vs this king of the oceans! Aquaman, the Lord of the Seven Seas, the King of Atlantis.
So who’s coming out on top here? Well today, we’re gonna analyze their strengths and weaknesses, their powers and abilities, to find out who wins in the Battle Arena!

I don't see why they would not have this continued in the MCU, and didn't Namor's people have something like a Siren call, mind compulsion that anyone that hears it, falls to their death? Namor (in the comics at least) can communicate with and command sea life. He can also mimic some of the abilities of sea life. I know he can project electricity like an electric eel.

However in their most recent Marvel Universe Handbook. It was stated those abilities & being about to turn into sea creatures were 50's & 60's Culture. When comic books were more cartoon ish & not having more reality non- fiction elements.. but being more fantasy based. By the 70's those cartoonish abilities were lost.

Namor only loses his strength on land if you go to great means to dehydrate him. Otherwise, him being on land is not much of a weakness. Shuri used equipment to extract the oxygen from Namor's Body. That is a huge difference from just being weaker on land. It's a weakness very few would be able to exploit without prep. Namor's weakness is a nonfactor against Aquaman.

If you really watched the movie, what made them come up with the dehydration plan to weaken Namor? Because iron heart noticed Namor had to jump into the water in between fights. In other words he gets weaker the longer he stays away from water…. So yes him being on land for long will weaken him.

Comics or Movie? because in the Comics, Namor is stronger in the Water. When he is wet or underwater he is a physical match for anyone, such that powerhouses like Hercules would be reluctant to take him on. Aquaman's strength is static it doesn't increase in water (also doesn't decrease out of water).

I think there’s something to vibranium that might be missed. The AI Shuri had made even said that the raw vibranium clashing with the (refined) vibranium in the ship would cause it to explode. The ship just about disintegrated shortly after. There must be a violent reaction between raw and refined vibranium wherein the refined material is weakened or even destroyed.

Aquaman with that trident and fully discovering its powers is a god. Aquaman communicated to all marine life, ALLL, 7seas. Superman is faster than him but he took his hits and still got up. With what we have to go with Aquaman wins most of the time, but Aquaman has way more appearances, we only got namor in this one movie where he's attacking land people so we didn't get see what he's fully capable of underwater, and we don't even know if he'll make any more appearances which would help us decide which one wins x/10, so Aquaman also has that advantage

Well, I believe it's not fair to compare those two together. Aquaman had his own movie, and we see what he can do, so let's wait until Namor get his own movie so we know what all he's capable of doing before comparing those two together. Me and my friends even went to to comic book conventions here in Chicago. The only thing I will say is, the spears t’chala used actually had energy weapon capabilities. You can even see when he throws them it explodes the same energy when it makes contact. But to downplay namor feat as saying it’s because of vibranium, Thanos literally used uru metal to break captain America’s shield. For reference, black panther only scratched the paint of of it with his vibranium claws. So vibranium doesn’t automatically beat vibranium.

Namors ankle wings have always been there, yet it is his half human / Atlantean physiology combined with his mutant physiology which gives him unique powers such as telekinesis and even gravity manipulation on a psychosomatic level, allowing him to propel his body through the air far beyond the Speed and agility of the fastest of fighter jets

Since mutant powers are more or less shaped by the way the user believes their powers will develop, namor flies by telekinesis (which he has shown before) and the wings are simply his unconscious mind providing in the winged sandals of Hermes. He is the one and only of his kind so the rule book is out the window. The one funny thing is that you believe that he can move through the air and into space as well as displaying huge bursts of acceleration from one side to another, dodging attacks, all with those tiny wings. Why don't you join some subreddit or even CRT content revision threads about how Namor actually flies because there are many many theories and none of them are considered lies. Now stop crying

In terms of telepathy, not only does Aquaman have a natural ability (like Namor seems to have), but Aquaman's control of sealife is enhanced by the magic of the Trident (which is apparently from the gods). If there was a telepathy battle trying to control sea life as allies, Aquaman would win easily.

This is completely unfair, your basing your decision on movie references alone, Aquaman clearly has a longer resume and had his own standalone movie that showcased all his skills, We seen Namor in a small glimpse, this needs to be continued or expanded into the comic books. Aquaman has had major upgrades thru the years and is somehow americanized to be more meaningful and relevant when he use to be the butt of jokes when referenced as a justice league member, Namor was always respected within any team he joined or as an Illuminati.

That punch broke Ja'bbari wood which has magical properties and is infused with vibranium. He also briefly matched Shuri with an upgraded synthetic heart shaped herb. He definitely is superhuman

Honestly I understand why this fight was done but maybe should have waited aquaman got his own movie and also appeared in justice league as a member where namor has only appeared in one movie and as a antagonistic. Actually it depends on how much they bring over from the Comics because Namor can also communicate with sea life. Not just an Aquaman thing. Namor could also mimic the sea life like send an electrical charge like an electric eel but I think he lost that ability. Maybe the MCU will bring it back. 1 film for Namor doesn't tell me enough what he can do just as a couple doesn't tell me enough about Aquaman.

The problem is that Namor isn't faster in that way. It's his flight, but necessarily the speed of that flight. Aquaman was able to fight against a guy that could react to both him and Wonder Woman, a proven bullet timer who's objectively faster than Namor, so Namor really doesn't have a speed advantage, just a mobility one since Aquaman will be able to react to his attacks and counterattack.

Just pointing out that the spear T’challa threw to bring down the airship in the first movie was not a normal vibranium spear. Pior the the fight breaking out, Killmonger describes it as a sonic canon, you can even see the blue glow coming from the spear before T’challa throws it. So, unlike Namor, T’challa didn’t bring down the airship with brute force alone.

The Wakandan garments, panther armor, and boarder guard shields seem to be infused with vibranium in’s tread from 100% vibranium. It’s similar to differences in beskar Mandalorian armors with some families having very old high percentage beskar passed down for generations while newer warriors had lower percentage armor that couldn’t deflect lightsabers or high powered blasters as well. The panther armor would have a much higher percentage of vibranium than regular Dora or boarder guard protective clothes. The Talokan pure vibranium weapons would probably have some advantages for hardness even if probably not as well refined or heat treated to handle flexing forces. Also Thanos’s blade that destroyed Captain America’s shield seems to be magical lot enhanced Urdu from the dwarves on top of Thanos’ insane over hulk level brute strength. Great video tho. Thanks

To be fair Thanos didn't break vibranium with just strength he used his sword to do it. I don't think the directors have ever said what the sword is made of mostly because maybe they didn't have the rights to whatever yet but it's probably vibranium, adamantium or uru metal. It being a super metal sword combined with Thanos strength is probably why that happened. Like take Thor in the first avengers movie. He takes a swing at Caps shield and didn't even make a dent but the hammer is a blunt object designed for smashing not cutting. If Thor was using Stormbreaker it might be a different story just never know

So before I watch the video, I had seen the movie twice (loved it by the way) and had this in mind between who would win, Aquaman or Namor? And I feel like there's strength is on par with each other, they are both fast underwater. I'm land I think Namor has the speed, but Aquaman is more durable in a sense that he can last far longer outside of water than Namor.
