@Abner Martins dos Santos There might be a class. Read the note inside the merge shop. Save up your insignia (ofc, if you can beat him in the first place).
Amazing work well done. Tbh after the chaos saga i love the darkon saga the most cause of how unique the art work and cutscenes were. The story was beautiful as well.
The thing is if you miss one thing or one big paragraph of text you can get so lost with the story 😭😭 it’s a great step in the right direction but improvements are definitely needed!
i read every wall of text, and the story itself is top tier. It is unironically well written, and its a super beautiful story that got me really attached to all of the characters. Every character is fleshed out and has their own motivations, and the bad guys actually have deeper motivations aside from “spreading chaos” and basic cartoon villain tropes. Definitely better than any other storyline we have seen thus far in aqw. Not to mention the fire concept art and lowkey good music that came with it. That said, you’re absolutely right that the rewards are lackluster at best. I keep looking for reasons to go back and play through it again, but the gameplay is shit and it doesn’t have nearly enough rewards to justify playing through it while grinding to max out your character.
Amazing story, the best in aqw imo. My only critique is that along woth the lines, an animation of clone darkon would be appreciated so a lot would understand the origin of seraphic paladin darkon
Honestly, I havent finished the storyline as I am just finishing Astravia Judgement. But so far, I really do like the saga. I would arguably say it is my favorite one more than the Queen of Monsters, Throne of Darkness and probably even 13 Lords of Chaos. I do agree that the rewards are almost nonexistent, which just cosmetics being the selling point. Even then, you still have to grind a lot. But my gosh, the tone of the story is so dark that makes me love the arc so much. You have these weird, creepy and distorted creatures running around streets that got me hooked. Then, you got some believable friendships sprinkled throughout that makes me love the characters. I think AE made Darkon’s saga more justification than Drakath and a lot of others. Looking back at it, the story of the Chaos Lords was kinda.. okay for me. It only got amazing during the finale for me. Let’s not talk about Queen of Monsters. It started fine but then just goes downhill so fast that it is ridiculous. The Throne of Darkness was interesting but not my cup of tea, really. To sum it up, everything about Darkon’s Saga storyline has a lot to be loved about. The AE team setup the atmosphere, music and everything so nicely. The lack of new classes doesn’t give players any motivation to even go on with the story (I do love the gears though). So yeah, it is almost a perfect story to me. :)
@@RicochetAQW Okay, so I finished the storyline and I sobbed for a while. Suki and Darkon was so tragic. I especially hate King Drago more than Darkon, even though he is doing much worse now. His revenge was definitely justified in a way, for me at least. I loved the introduction of the primordial beings and a bit of their lore. Do Dawn and Do Dusk would probably be my favorite when it comes to their role and design. The Empress is a minor character in the story we were presented with but at least she is empathetic, which is a plus for me. The ending was very poetic as it shows off just how much somebody can change when given no choice and how actions have consequences. The most polished story ever from the AE team. Wonderful!
@@AverageUser69 the story got kinda confusing with the introduction of the primordial beings imo. I also almost sobbed at the ending cutscene of Suki and Darkon ngl. Best scene in the saga prolly.
I read a lot for work, like 100s of pages of news and research. When I play I want a break from reading. Its good when games have voice over or almost no text.
Saga was short only negative but the artstyle ,armors, story was nice reminded me of seraph of the end and persona and madoka magika vibes plus lots of house items and merge shops as a bonus.
Agreed. It needs something to attract more players to it. Even still the story is phenomenal and gives me so much OG persona vibes. It has one of the most interesting themes and tones I've seen in a video game. I'd almost recommend playing AQW specifically to experience this quest series.
I played though it to get higure on tlapd but I actually really enjoyed it the story was amazing I wasn’t expecting to enjoy it and the moral implications and how things we’re keeping me on my seat my only thing I didn’t like about the story was that the player was way to neutral in the story other then that it was fantastic
Best part abt the Darkon Saga imo is the fact that farming Darkon's armor made me uninstall the game before I even made it to the 2nd version of the armor
