AR3 Robot Belt Upgrade 

Amazing news!! I was wondering why we used a sprocket in J3 when we had belts everywhere else. Very excited to move to full belt.

Is there a specific axis that bottlenecks the arm load to 4lbs that can be upgraded to increase it? Or have you carefully selected all the motors and their reduction gearing to fit this load goal? Basically, to upgrade the load capacity. Would someone have to upgrade all the motors or just a few of them? Or is the load bottlenecked by the structural components and not the motors/gearing at all? Great project by the way!

Yay, I haven't been able to find the chain and sprocket in Australia, so thank you! I mean, I could find one, yet I was hoping to get it from a Master's, but they don't ship here, so long story short, yay! 🙃

Hello Greetings, there is hard to find Nema 11 and Nema 14, so can we use Nema 17 for both joints or it will affect torque and rpm, etc! thank you

Is AR2 very different from AR3? I have solids created in CAD for AR2, I don't know if I will be able to use them to build AR3?

Very cool. We are building our Ar3 right now and just this week I drilled and tapped the sprockets and installed the chain. Do the same 3D printed covers still fit over the belt?

What kind of payload can this arm handle? I have been thinking about building one of these for welding.
