In this video I take you through my installation of an ARB Summit bar. Disclaimer - This is not a how to, this is simply me sharing with you how I installed mine
this is really impressive. Thanks to show how important work it is I though it was just a removal part, to a replacing with an other one Never imagined we would have to go though the cuttings like you did. I'm very impressive from the taking off of all the parts, and the impossibility to put things back later Thx for the video.
Well done on your installation. Glad I paid to have mine fitted. Ended up going with the piak bar and happy with it but one of the fog lights has water in it already after the first creek crossing.
Cheers mate! Got myself a MR 22 coming. The bull bar is $2700 + fogs and install. Install is almost $900. Anyway I've managed to get a new bar for $1500 brand new (old stock) Thinking of installing myself. It's blue and I'm getting a black car could look interesting haha.
Pretty sure you will risk warranty issues with Mitsubishi if you instal it yourself, if you wish to keep the 10yr warranty(for any issue involving that area like windscreen wipes, indicator lights, maybefront airbags etc)If you use ARB or Mitsubishi installers pretty sure you keep your 10yr instead of the 5year. Maybe look into it.
Another great video. Just wanted to ask if by any chance you weighed the bar before you installed it? I'm struggling to find any info about how much these things weigh...
I’m new to the channel and just subscribed. I have an MR Triton and looking for a bull bat and winch. Did you have to upgrade your suspension after the bull bar install? Great work on the vlogs.. 👍👍👍
Thanks mate, nah there's no requirement to upgrade the suspension however with just the bar alone I lost at least 15mm of clearance 👍 I am planning on lifting it anyway.
@@mrtriton5405 not a fan of drilling into the chassis. Plus not a fan of bars that require cutting the guard, but that’s a personal preference. Went with the Rockarmour GT loop bar - have you heard much about it? I do enjoy your vids mate.
Hey mate, do you think the Piak Elite bars are any good? I think that's the only one slim enough to fit in my garage. I haven't got much room to play with 🙄
Hey! Yeah mate I like the Piaks for looks. They are pretty well build also. Only reason I didn't get one is they're not quite as good as the ARB and TJM ones and cost nearly the same amount.
@@mrtriton5405 I think I have no choice as I went to ARB today and looked at the summit bar and its going to be tight to get it into the garage. The Piak Elite looks alot slimmer so I am going to have to go with that. As long as it offers some decent protection I will be happy
Mate, did you notice a huge difference after you installed that bar on the steering side of things? I'm getting a summit bar installed soon on stock suspension , will eventually upgrade the suspension when I get the chance.
No difference in terms of steering. For me the main concern was the suspension sag (only minor). That'll be resolved when I do my lift later down the track
@@mrtriton5405 yeah cheers mate, you know what ARB is like trying to sell you kits right away, Il leave the suspension to last once I get it kitted out
