Lawn care people, I believe, oversprayed onto my daylilies. My yard, sadly neglected due to passing of my dad and having to car for my mom. I've decided to plant annuals in with them, hoping the techni Ian will control spray. You might want to either make area around your tree base larger,, possibly adding a small underplanting. Good luck with them!

There is nothing like having a loving soul-mate for life, the song is precious. My husband and I dated for 3 wks. got engaged, married 3 mos. later and just celebrated our 52nd wedding anniversary. A good guy is hard to come by, and we both say we would do it all again. So what is that empty space in back of you? You said it belongs to everyone? I've never seen that before. We never had those in my part of CA. Is it common in TN? Love the garden. I did get a perennial today, my first, so excited. Here in WI our Amish nurseries will open the wk-end. Finally!

The dental floss is genius and I laughed at “it has its own cutting blade” 😂 We had a row of Crepe Myrtles for about 6 years and each year the beetles just ate up each tree and made it hard for us to enjoy the back yard, so we rid our yard of them and that took care of the beetles. 3 years later we are still beetle free. It’s hard to cut out dead wood but necessary the crepe Myrtle will thrive better and be more showy trimmed. I usually get an allergy cortisone shot that holds me all season no allergy meds needed then idk if that would be helpful maybe talk with your doctor. Dental floss great idea. Take care…🌺🌸🌼

Hi Anna, I am new to your channel. Love watching someone doing their best life myself to create something beautiful. I also have a clematis in training to climb up an old wooden ladder. I saw an idea on Pinterest to cut a terra cotta pot in half, top to bottom, then remove the a portion if the bottom. Use this to shade the roots of the clematis. My Ernie (Keith) did this for me this past weekend, and I love it! You could diy it white if you wanted.

Wow, that song you made for Ernie was beautiful! I have 12 or 13 clematis that all face the west, so they get all of that hot afternoon sun, all I do to shade the roots is just put mulch on them, and they do great!!

Being a fellow gardener with allergies is the worst. I regularly rinse my nose with clear Saline solution. It offers some relief. Happy gardening!
