Arcade1up Killer Instinct Honest Review and Gameplay 

I got mine yesterday and the stick's are the best I've seen in a 1up. Better audio as well, and best looking cabinet.

You, thank you very much for reviewing the KI cabinet! I was on the fence about purchasing it initially but after you showcased the games in action, it's like playing both games in the arcade with no slowdown and having some really good basic speakers to make the audio stand out. Plus it has the Battletoads games as well too making me wanting to pull the trigger on this one. Code Mystics definitely out did themselves on this one and the quality shows in every way! Again, thanks for showcasing the KI cab as you helped me decide in purchasing this cab for myself!

Fantastic review! Originally I was going to pass on this arcade cabinet, but after watching your review I decided to purchase a Killer Instinct arcade cabinet for myself. It will definitely look awesome between my Street Fighter 2 and Mortal Kombat 2 arcade cabinets in my arcade. Great review, thanks! I got the KI bug again watching documentaries on RU-vid, I still have the SNES but sold the N64 long ago. This is above my usual price point but I think after this review I’m definitely going to save up and pick this game up to play solo and with my son!

Really enjoyed the video here and online game play. It’s a pretty sexy cabinet really .Was never KI player, but if you look at fighting game history…. Say you like MVC and that is your jam, you can tell how KI influenced that game series a great deal.

I remember after sf2 hit I'd visit an arcade in a mall every so often to see the latest fighting game and this game was definitely an eye catcher. Even though it was rebooted by Microsoft awhile back nothing matched the original, not even KI2. Thunder was my guy.

Thanks for the review. Out of all the early vids I've watched you are the only person who mentioned the octo-gates (or what kind of gates are on the sticks period). I know pro gamers prefer square gates but IMO these make consistent move execution harder for average players.

Nice Arcade bro!!! I've noticed that the KI release date is 01/15/2022. However, all stores are saying you have to still PREORDER the KI instead of buying it. I guess the stores have to go through Arcade 1up and place an order before you can get it now. Weird.

How has your KI held up since this video? I finally snagged one (Best Buy price match 299) and looking forward to putting it together. When KI first released it was mind-blowing to me - the graphics and sound just blew both SF and MK out of the water (loved both those series still), so having an officially licensed home replica is just so cool!

is this the version where you get Eyedol by 1st selecting Cinder & inputting the code on the match up screen or the 1st version that required inputs during the character select process? i'm glad to see original KI graphics. i always thought they were the best graphics of any arcade game out there.

I am making my own custom cab, but this is really cool

My joystick arcade led light bar doesn’t work. Bummed. Overall best feeling A1up Sticks are very responsive w octagonal gates, buttons are ok but will likely update them soon. The light up marquee is a bit washed out, but at least it comes with one. Original a1up cabs didn’t. Thanks for the review dude

The one thing they should do with the “Pro” line is make the machines as difficult to build as the Neo Geo Arcade machine. I’m so done building these cabinets, I have this and simpsons and a few others just sitting in the boxes because….man, I’m tired of building these and all the packing materials. It looks amazing, I better build this one!
