Nice review! If you loosen the two screws for the recoil pad you can tuck the recoil pad lips back into the clamp and tighten it back up. The cheek riser is intended for shotguns equipped with an optical sight. Our forend has a more grip due to the sharper edged "ribbed" design. If you get a chance to try our our forend you'll see that less recoil will get through to your shoulder due less slip through on your pump hand. Best Regards, Mike Ballard Director of R&D Archangel Manufacturing
ArchangelDevelopment Thanks, I got the padd back on. I have a 2 day gun / shotgun event at the end of the month. I will try both foregrips to compare and I'll do a follow up vid.
@@tacdad decided to get something else. No need to ghetto rig my shotgun with gorilla tape and locktite 242 when there are just other ones that aren't crappy
Thanks for the review, seeing all the tweaks you needed to do I'll pass on this stock. It looks good but I hate dealing with wobbling and rigging to get things perfect.
Awesome, I ended up removing the magpul fore end and using the Promag one. I like the Promag one better. Trickey part is getting that screw to connect the end to the receiver. USE BLUE LOCK TIGHT so you do not have to re tighten.
Just installed mine today, yeah that buttstock is a bit of a pain. Looks good though. Mine has a slight gap on the side as well. I installed the forearm and had to go back to the original end cap as the sling end cap I was using will not work with the forearm with the picatinnay attachment. It wont slide forward all the way. The stock is heavy than the factory composite stock.
Tac Dad - Did your Archangel come with the QD sling ring installed? I just installed an 870SC today and it doesn't have the sling ring shown in your video. Thanks for the video. Made my installation a little easier. My only frustration was removing the factory forend clamp to install the new forend.
I purchased a side saddle. when put on I was not able to pump the shotgun. due to the saddle in the way. it will not allow me to cycle fully. the foregrip bumps up against the side saddle
The forend with the 3 rail system doesn’t even work with the 870 tactical, it’s bullshit u need to dremel out little pieces of the rail system to make it work, wish they would have disclosed this before I bought it, couldn’t even show it in my review on it 😂
Tac Dad really? Why do I have bad luck... my pump won’t come forward needs about three extra milimetres so I can’t engage my trigger. So I am using the piece it comes with that’s isn’t the rail system for now till I machine the rails to fit
I live in Canada so maybe mine is different, your ammo tube looks different, that’s what the rail gets stuck on the little threaded piece that tightens it on the gun
The archangel tactical buttstock is such a piece of garbage. The instructions were useless and the installation was a total pain in the ass. Totally wobbly and cheap feeling. I literally threw it in the trash the day I received it. The shell carrier is fine, but I would NOT recommend this buttstock. I wish I had my money back and spent it on a Magpul SGA or literally anything else.
