I've always shot Bowtech (just my preference). I'm pulling max weight (~72lbs) at 28.5" draw length. In these videos I was mostly using Easton FMJs with 100gr broadheads. I did shoot some of them with mechanical heads but I'm generally not a fan of mechanicals. I've had some failures on deer so I mostly stay away. My current setup is geared towards elk but I hunt deer and hogs with it also. It's a Grizzlystick Momentum Shaft with IronWill 200gr head. Total weight is 620gr. I've come to really like the heavy arrow setup but it's an expensive arrow setup. What are you trying to shoot? What's your experience level?

20-30yrds for all of these. Most of them at 20yrds.

Ouch.. I tell you, with the heavy arrows I'm using now, I think if one did that it would come out the front. Heavy arrows are not the answer for everyone but they sure are nice for certain things. More to come when I can make some time to get some vids edited and posted. Stay tuned.

I agree. It's a fun time to hunt them. The weather isn't so hot yet, good cover with all of the new growth too. I like stalking them it's just hard to get video of it without a camera crew. :)

@@domingogiannone4486, Hahahaha. e usado Rage Hypodermic 100gr, GrizzlyStick Alaskan 200gr y IronWill 200gr. Estoy usando fletchas y puntas mas pesados al momento. Es mas para cazar alce pero funciona bien con los cerdos tambien. Se me gustan los Rage pero no le tengo confianza se pega en hueso.

A barrels worth of tannerite would be expensive.

There is always the possibility of a bad shot in any type of hunting. As a responsible hunter I try to minimize that possibility.

I completely disagree. Gun shots are higher percentage success shots and extend your effective distance by a lot. They are equally humane. Broadheads are razor sharp and many times animals don't even know they've been hit with anything. Arrows kill by severing arteries and causing massive blood loss just like a really sharp razor blade or knife can cut you without causing much pain. A bullet works by causing massive trauma from the shock wave it creates or shattering bone. (like being hit with a really large, powerful hammer) Arrow or bullet, a successful shot usually still means the animal runs away... unless aiming for the spine or head with a gun which is more instantaneous but can also result in badly wounded animals if the shot is off by just a bit. My goal is not to inflict pain with an arrow. It's to quickly and quietly dispatch the animal.
