How does the battery handle the cold? I took my ebike into the mountains when it first started snowing it seemed to kill my battery pretty quick idk if it was from the cold or trying to climb the mountain with it or both thanks for any feedback
Definitely reduced range and quicker drain, and it'll charge only to 87 whereas when it's warmer it'll charge to 90 (the FUV does not "cheat" the numbers like other EVs; it is unhealthy to charge a battery more than that, though it is possible by using an "extended range" mode which only should be done sparingly and only if you immediately drive after charging). But my commute is so short that I'm still well above 70 percent at the end of the day. The regen system will not allow itself to be used, as you don't want to be trying to put that kind of charge into a cold battery.
