Love the speed in this performance. When they play songs from the first 2 albums nowadays, they tend to slow them down, which really takes away from the power of the original recordings.
I think I remember that on some interview, the thing of the tempo was brought out, and they just said that they don’t do it on purpose and that they don’t even have idea how they manage to play with the fast tempo.
Matt's voice is proper sick! Kinda wish he would sing a bit more in songs, perhaps even do a large proportion of some songs. I remember one day I kept replaying the part near the end where he sings "one look sends it coursing..." and thinking "that sounds quality"
This used to be my favourite AM song a few years ago, just loved the lyrics and the pace of it aha :) I can see why they never played this live much though, they can only just keep up with the speed :D
Bass is the best instrument ever! Nick has improved amazingly. Joining the dots, Sketchead and I haven't got my strange has quality bass in it! I've tabbed all 3 and still can't do them perfectly.
i always thought he said "Well barbies hat is pink" when it's actually "the heart beats at its peak" haha. My favourite band. Pretty much better live..and..i love them.
I think Humbug is a masterpiece! It's different, but it's still great! I mean they have to change a little bit, they are more mature now, they have been on the scene for 4 years,Alex said that his work with Miles changed his way of singing and writing....but I love it....I think it would be boring if the third album was the same as the first and the second one...it would be kinda like they are just writing for the crowd and that's just not their style
Whenever my sister sees this video, she can't help thinking that one specific build god then we'll talk live because of the background decor.....................
The bass is amazing!! Listen to some B sides with amazing bass; Haven't got my strange, Plastic Tramp, Space Invaders, What if you were right 1st time... I haven't heard one song by these that has sucky bass... Their new stuff especially is amazing
Whatever ppl say, I think in their newer albums they lost a lil bit of their energy! Whatever people say, that's what I'm not ist still their best one!
@TheWestHammers Well, I dont say, I like everything to stay...they might change...the only thing I say is taht I liked their songs more when you really felt the energy in it...its just a kinda musical taste. ppl might see it different.
unfortunately this is what happens to all bands...a little thing called change. but wouldn't it be cool in a world where bands kept putting out the same material. i mean when the chili peppers put out stadium arcadium i was a tad disappointed, but hey they're like 40 years old now. i think if you asked the arctic monkeys and the chili peppers their favorite album, they'd obviously pick one of their earlier albums. Whatever People Say I am, That's What I'm Not is their best and they know it......
