That’s chaotic lawful. Chaotic because of its would be uncommon use in long ranged weaponry and lawful because of its ability to dispense pure justice!
"If you're lucky, such a threat will only send a chill down your spine, but if you're not, well, you won't ever hear the shot." Is such an ominously raw line.
I love the fact that a person that has a girl that has super speed and a giant sniper that's also a scythe for a profile pic is complaining about snipers running around.
Master Chief That isn't quite the situation in most antique cods. Cod4 have alot of servers yet i rarely see anyone run around with snipers. but if they do, it''ll either have ACOG scope or it's a xXsemi-auto_sniper_noscoper_360_69_420Xx
Hah, no, I initially thought the video may have been about the United State's plan if it were ever to fight Russia in the Arctic. I was unfamiliar with Ahoy's videos at the time, I've actually learned a lot about guns, neat stuff.
the story of the AW series is even more amusing when you hear the story of accuracy internationals origins essentially it was literally just a handful of guys dicking about in their shed and didnt even expect to WIN the british gun trials, they just entered it to see how well their handiwork held up and then they suddenly were in the position of we have NO ability to actually make that many rifles...
Didn't the brits send people to check that they weren't just a bunch of dudes dicking around in a shed? OH WAIT THEY DID And the fuckers actually rented a workshop set up some rifles in different stages of completion and the inspector came AND FUCKING FELL FOR IT
"And if you're not, well, you might never hear the shot." that is some pretty horrific imagery, just having your life end, with absolutely no warning, not even a second to remember what was.
It's the exact reason I use sniper rifles in video games. They require pinpoint accuracy, patience, and practice. And, when you become good with one, you will be rewarded.
^ That’s how it usually would be, but it seems like they’re trying to take that away in modern games. So many people bitching and complaining about snipers.
The fact that the AWM made a shot at 2,475 meters is already insane enough. The fact that that record has been broken twice, and thay the new record is 3,540 meters is even more insane.
Brazen No need for rudeness, friend. I was trying to ask an honest question in a funny way. ***** Sorry if I came across as rude. Anyhow, Brazen, if Speedy had asked, I would've happily explained that SovietWomble is an incredibly funny gaming RU-vidr with very high quality content. I would highly recommend watching pretty my anything he has made.
Brazen Oh no, you're fine man It's just hard to know over text. Emotions are really hard to convey. Sorry if I was too harsh. But seriously, SovietWomble is amazing. Funniest gaming RU-vidr I've ever seen.
There is SOME truth for bolt action weapons doing more damage. In a semi-automatic rifle, some of the bullet's power goes to cycling the next shot, so a bullet will have less overall velocity coming out of the barrel. However, this difference is mild, and pales to comparison to the effect of the gun's caliber.
The only reason bolt action rifles are still used today is better shot consistency (automatics load the next round as the bullet is moving, so the gun is already shaking before the bullet leaves the muzzle which lowers the accuracy), giving the user the choice when to extract (so evidence is easier to get rid of) and lower weight compared to semi-automatics of the same calibre.
Apatthetic Man I daresay that there are some countermeasures in place in more modern semi-automatice snipers rifles, but I recall hearing that a bolt action was preferred due, as you mentioned, you can choose when to extract the round, but the reason for that being that a shell casing is a shiny moving object when automatically ejected, while when removing it by hand it can be discretely pocketed.
notbobby125 the velocity shouldn't be effected it the design is put wel..most rifles don't have that...and little to no effect overall...the M-1 firing the M-2 ball has the same velocity of M-1903 of the same caliber. not a whole lot of truth really....
Correction: A good sniper is terrifying. A great spotter is unknown and leaves no survivors. I think its very unfair that they listed the guy with the longest kill but not his spotter, and that person would be responsible for the marking and calculation of coriolis effect that made the kill possible
"ill-suited for close quarters battle: but of course, there are still some who'll try" (as long as they are under the age of 12 and think quickscoping takes skill)
@Alexis Lloyd Alinan Arctic Warfare is in Mw3 as the L118A, the Precision Marksman in Black Ops as the L96A1 & the Arctic Warfare Magnum in Ghosts as the L115
Which iconic weapons can we expect to get a video too? I think that the M16,double barreled shotgun,M1911 and the RPG are one of the more iconic weapons.
It depends on how fast you are with a bolt action. Häyhä was fast due to intense training and years of hunting experience. Almost every other soldier with a bolt action couldn't pull that kind of speed as Häyhä
There's nothing more satisfying in a game in my mind, than just releasing a round on an exhale and just hitting that perfect headshot from a nearby cliff.
Only to completely fuck it up too though, considering green finish would indicate a regular AW, whilst .338Lapua would mean AWM, however that usually has yellow finish, and only a 5 round mag. AWP has black finish
I don't think these videos are necessarily about the games. More about weapon history and depiction of the weapon in the game. Plus I don't know if BF series has bot mode where you can fight against AI because it would take quite awhile to unlock a lot of the BF weapons.
ProKosovich True but if you've got around a week to produce a video (not all your time in the week will be spent producing the video) are you going to waste valuable time ranking up and unlocking a weapon, then getting clips for that weapon. I personally wouldn't. If I had it unlocked or it was one of the few games that featured a weapon I was covering I'd do it but since so many games have the variants of this weapon, your time can be spent doing other things. I mean I counted around 3 or 4 major titles: Counter Strike CoD (multiple titles) Team Fortress 2 and I believe it did have one BF title, BF2 but I don't know if that's still classed as a major title. I think the video was well produced and it had a good mix of popular titles to lesser know titles.
ProKosovich But why waste time unlocking online when you can just demonstrate the weapon's function in a private lobby where everything is already unlocked?
i gotta say, your videos have inspired me a lot. two years ago i stumbled into your channel, and ever since then ive wanted to design weapons. I'm now studying mechanical engineering at VMI and it would seem like my dream will come true.
update if anyone wants: the new longest sniper kill was done by a canadian special forces sniper from 3540 metres, killing an IS operator .The unnamed soldier who killed the IS militant used a McMillan TAC-50 sniper rifle, from an elevated position.
So this guy is honestly so cool and it's super cool to see someone so helpful and knowledgeable about firearms. But to also be very aware of the context in videogames just earns him even more respect
This is a great place to put a nice tidbit of information: As they mentioned in this video, the AWP (Arctic Warfare Police) comes with "plain black furniture" or grey/dark grey coloring, unlike the regular AW, which comes with the military green coloring. So, when you're playing CS:GO, feel free to still call it an AWP, but remember that VALVe's employees aren't quite as smart as they think they are, and they have mis-named one of the game's most famous rifles. This is why I bought an Elite Build AWP and named it the "Anti-Misnomer", as it's nearly entirely black, save for the decoration.
gafeht How do you pronounce the AW sound? To answer your question, yes, most native English speakers will refer to it as the "auhp". Some Europeans that speak English as a second language will say "A V P" because the W in their language is a V, such as in French. However, since CS:GO's AWP is actually an AW, I pronounce it by saying the letters rather than the sound. Unless, of course, I pick up my AWP, which is an actual AWP.
@@shalinisahay730it's simple, battle royale genre is dying as people realize how battle royale mode in a franchise can reduce the reputation of the game itself. Plus, COD Modern Warfare and Halo Infinite is coming so most of the player will quit since PUBG become more boring each year though they add new features.
well, he only has one technically as one shot would have to beat out the other one, but he is the only soldier afaik to have beaten the record not once but twice
Panther And that was just updated, the Canadians now have the longest confirmed sniper kill, on an ISIS member. They were probably using a C17 Timberwolf, unfortunately for our dear AWM.
Update! L115A3 is no longer the weapon with longest range kill, that title has returned to the McMillan Tac-50 at 3540 m ( in 2002 two Canadian snipers made same day records of 2310m and 2430m, both with the Tac-50 in Afghanistan, then a third Canadian in 2017 with the Tac-50 in Iraq at 3540 m) The Tac-50 has 3 of the top 5 longest confirmed kills.
4:26 Well if this is so Stu. Why didn't you showcase the L96 in Battlefield 3 and Battlefield 4? In both games Sniping requieres far more skill than pretty much every other game and it's mostly only possible on range.
SuperDeadNoob Are you serious? A sniper that will reward you a oneshot from the hip and upwards? Surely that takes less skill than in Battlefield where you MUST hit a headshot, account for bullet speed, drop, supression AND Flinch. And how much of this is there in Counterstrike? Not saying all this makes BF3&4 better, CS is still the by far best FPS out there, but if you use the AWP right in CS your foes don't stand much chance. And no point ever mentioning a simulator in this discussion.
+Fighter_jet210 Price is also just a common name.. but Captain Price was in the original CoD ._. which came out 2 years before bf2. Not that it matters too much.
You should take a look at Valkyria Chronicles 1, at the early, developt and Imperial Rifles, Sniper Rifles and Assault Rifles. They look kinda awesome, and I wonder if they took their design from something realistic. :D
