How much crud could a catch-can catch if a catch-can could catch crud? I installed a dual catch-can on my 2018 Ford Raptor. This in an overview of a system manufactured by Radium Engineering, with why I bought it and the results so far...

radium quit making this because of CEL problems, i just called them because there's one on ebay and the seller offered it to me for $380 , i've heard the same thing about the mishimoto i think im just gonna go with a regular pcv catch can

How have the Radium catch cans been working? One tip with Radiums: Get a large plastic syringe connected to a length of clear vinyl tubing (easy to find on Amazon) and you’ll be able to draw out contents through the dipstick holes. Piece of cake! You’re right about quality and engineering - Mishimoto is not even close. Their brackets are flimsy and cracked on a previous car of mine. Ran dual Radiums on Focus RS and they worked great. Getting ready to install Radiums on my 2.7 Ecoboost F150, and hope to catch some crud.

Yea the mish. Hoses seem wayvto long and have sharp bends. I would say the radioms. Put one on each side, shorten the hoses. Juat seems like oil can build up in the long hoses

You mentioned dual valve in the beginning of the video and only catching 10% under idle if you do not have dual valve. The dual cans are not dual valve correct? Under boost they have no vacuum unless I am missing something? Great video, I am trying to decide on a system and leaning towards the UPR but it does not address the CCV side of the system. Thank you

Did you ever get a check engine light on for the p051b code

Nice, my ONLY issue with these oil catch can kits with long hoses, is the long hoses. Also ive noticed UPRs double valve kit taps into the turbo inlets, which creates vacuum under boost,

Didn't think about it until you mentioned it. What about the gunk in the hoses? Good point. We'll see i guess...

Nice installation! For my Expedition 2018 I was thinking about twin can system such as from RXP, but ended up with JLT single can at PCV side only. The main reason is I do not have much skills for installation and hope to keep minimum work to bring it back to OE as I am in CA (for smog check and dealer inspection). It is very strange why it does not meet CARB. I love protecting the environment and in this sense I believe I am doing right. I am driving mainly short distances a mile or two, so I arrive before engine fully warms up. So called severe condition, more chance to get blow-by and condensation moisture through PCV during warm up, I guess (according to my research online, engine piston rings does not make tight good clearances when engine is cold). So catching them before re-entering to intake, I think the engine can burn more cleaner and making less pollution to the environment. I love Oregon, too (I am a Beaver)!

Are you also using a weep vent for the intercooler? If so, that may be why there is not much for the catch cans to trap. My 2018 Raptor has no cans and no weep and no problems; yet. Pro-active or reacice.?.?.?....

No weep. Didn't even know that was a thing! TY! I'm going to check them again soon and update if they are catching anything.

Hey how do you just spin those off? I can’t get my hands down in there to even get a chance at it??do you have video of you emptying?

Big pair of channel lock pliers and a thick towel works. Or you can put a few wraps of duct tape around the end of the channel locks and do it that way.

@@TheFullLouie Run narrow clear plastic tubing connected to a syringe down each of the dipstick holes to suck out the contents. You'll never have to spin the bottoms off unless you want to check/clean them at longer intervals.
