I got a full eye exam & was diagnosed with dry eyes. I was recommended systane or Refresh (omega 3). Both are preservative free. I experience very itchy eyes, which I didn’t have before my appointment and using what was recommended. Can this be from the eye drops?
@@janellestuart4269 Although I can’t offer medical advice on this platform, in general, itchy eyes can be a sign of allergy, dry eye disease or other eye conditions. It is important to consult your eye doctor if you experience eye irritations with your current treatment. I hope this helps.
thank you for the little heart that was nice and heres why i like your channel because I have an epi retenal membrane so i am interested in eye health and i think you know what you are talking about. take care.Dr.
Thank you for this video and explaining these issues in so much detail! I am going to ask my ophthalmologist about autologous serum eye drops, since I’m lucky to have very good insurance coverage… until I turn 26 this upcoming January. I do have one question about warm eye compresses, and I was wondering if you had a brand to recommend for patients with deep-set eyes? I tried the Bruder eye compress that many doctors recommend, but it didn’t feel like it made any contact with my eyelids since the structure of the bones surrounding my eye are so much higher than my eyes.
Thank you for your videos! I’ve been suffering from dry eyes for awhile. I wanted to include omega 3 ( fish oil) but I’m allergic to shellfish. I’m not sure if I can take fish oil? Do you have any thoughts on that? I have been taking flaxseed oil supplements but haven’t noticed any difference 😢

Doctor I am suffering from epihora due to punctum stenosis as well as dry eyes for more than a year now. Perforated plugs were inserted alngwith restasis and lotemax usage. I still have epiphora. Any expert advise will be highly appreciated.
I had cataract conventional surgery in just one eye this year with a corrective lens implanted. This has been a rough allergy summer, and while my other eye without the cataract surgery has been a little itchy and sometimes watery, the eye that did have the surgery has been 10 times worse! Is this normal after this type of surgery? (Now I'm reluctant to have the other eye done). And is there something stronger than Katorolac eye drops to relieve the terrible itching etc symtoms?
I’m sorry to hear that you’re having eye irritation. Although I can’t offer medical advice on this platform, in general, people who have ocular surface disease prior to any eye surgery can feel worse shortly after surgery. This can be partly due to the medication eye drops used post operatively. It is important to consult your eye doctor or eye surgeon if your symptoms are not controlled with your current treatment. I hope this helps.
you have just explained all treatment i have been searching about the past 2 years, to be honest those treatment are just waste of time. we should fit our life ti this disease dry eye

I am sorry that you are suffering from severe dry eyes. I can’t give you personalized medical advice on this platform without examining your eyes. I do recommend getting a full eye exam with your local eye doctor specializing in treating dry eye disease. I hope your eyes feel better soon.
I've always had mild dry eye issues, but wearing a God-forsaken mask and goggles at work has made things much worse, as all of the hot air that escapes from my mask gets blasted into my eyes because of the goggles. It makes my life miserable, to be honest. But Blink eyedrops seem to help a lot.
I am sorry to hear that you haven't found an effective dry eye treatment yet. I can not give personalized medical advise on this platform. Hopefully there is an eye doctor near you can help you further. If you are located in Southern California, you can always make an appointment to see me in my office.
