I was trying to find a video on how to put them in without them someone’s falling here out there… More relevant for the preservative free ones. … Just an FYI, as a video idea.
For anybody struggling with dry eyes. Try the eyebrow exercise. Lift each one, one at a time like ”the rock” look up who the rock is and his famous eyebrow lift lol. Do these for about 30 minutes. Be sure to switch eyebrows! Nobody will share this information and many sites have took my comments down. This has stopped my dry eye completely and it is no where to be found. In”and love you all. #defeatdryeye
Men and women with dry eyes should also have their sex hormones check and pursue bioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapy (bHRT). I had dry eyes for 6years which immediately resolved when I started bHRT.
@@TheRealAeroplaneAviation Women in menopause have many symptoms. It doesn’t hurt to try HRT and see if it helps. My dry eyes were so bad, waking me up 2-3 x nightly. After going on bHRT, my dry eyes were gone in less than 1 week.
I'd like to thank this kind Opthalmologist Dr Chua for sharing effective treatmts which many doctors aren't sharing openly. God bless this good doctor.🙏
Hi Dr. Thank you for your advice. My eyes are very dry but have improved over time. I use Omega 3, Systane Ultra drops PF, Celluvisc drops if they are very dry due to weather conditions. Green tea steam eye bath, helps the inflammation. I use a small humidifier at night beside my bed. I hope everyone gets some relief.
Maqui berry cleared up my dry eye, which was severe. 1/2 tsp of the powder each morning, dissolved in a half glass of water. I don't know how or why it works, but it does. Worth a try if you have this condition; it costs me about $10 for a 3-4 month supply.
I especially liked when you noted that people who have more omega 3 fish oil in their diet have a reduction in dry eye. This is helpful and such an easy and natural change to make. Thank you and I look forward to more of your videos.
I used sea buckthorn oil gel caps and it really helped. I think if I continue on them I'll see more improvement. Before taking them, there were mornings when it felt like my eyes were glued shut. One eye seems drier than the other too.....not sure why.
Lived in South my entire life & never wore sunglasses. Now have to live with permanent yellow/red eyes instead of white because of UV damage & beach sand/dust/eye powder makeup. Take care of your eyes starting at birth. Wear 100% UV wrap around sunglasses outside!!
Wow, one of the most helpful videos I've seen in a long time. I do use dry eye drops about 3x a day. My husband got a scratched cornea, and the doctor said that can be caused by untreated dry eye, so it's good to use drops not just for comfort but to take care of the eye. Thank you for your nice smile and valuable information.
@@maninamerica2046 Nope. If you have dry eyes, your eyelids can stick to the cornea at night and when you open your eye in the morning, the top layer of the cornea goes off. I have tried that 5 times in the past year. It hurts a lot
@melissaspeering6922 get punctal plugs!! I been suffering from dry eyes for years and always needed tear drops after Lasik.. Now I only need when I feel my eyes sre super dry.. best decision I've ever done. Go to your eye doctor and get them it's worth it!!
Thank you Dr Chua, I have suffered from dry eye for a long time now. I thought I would just have to suffer through it but after listening to your video I see that there is help available. I really appreciate you sharing your knowledge with all of us and I’m so glad that our paths crossed if only virtually🌺
I was told by optometrists for years that I had dry eye syndrome. I discovered that my eyes were becoming red and inflamed due to histamine and salicylate intolerance. When I corrected my diet the symptoms went away. Now I only get symptoms when I eat foods that I shouldn't.
I have dry eyes but sometimes gritty feeling and with other symptoms the eye dr it was a specialty eye dr.. asked if I ever been checked for autoimmune disorders
Thank you so much for the info in this video. I have been struggling with dry eyes ever since I moved to Utah from Germany. The air is usually very dry here and my eyes are burning all the time. I used to take a supplement by theratears which contains some fish oil and other beneficial nutrients. After about 3 weeks I noticed that my eyes were more lubricated. That and some moisturizing drops used to help. I can't quite afford everything so I haven't used these capsules in a few years, but I might try them again. I'm going to keep following you since you definitely seem to care about other people and give valid and informative information. Thank you so much!
I had punctal plugs and while they helped, they always started to reject after around 6 months. I've been on Xiidra for a few years and it's been life changing. I also use warm compresses if I start to have burning.
Thank Doctor! You don’t know how long I’ve been suffering these horrid symptoms and my doctor didn’t get it. Suffering this grainy, sand paper and inflamed sensation is extremely painful. Living in pain and having red eyes on a daily basis truly feels like hell.
You are so correct about those recommended meds for dry eye! I cannot afford them. I have Sjogren's and working at a computer all my life, I have serious dry eye. When I experienced Bells Palsy the eye doctor prescribed an antibiotic gel, which I periodically put in my eyes at night and makes a great difference in my dry eyes. When I do use tears, (CLEAR EYES) my eyes itch so badly for quite some time and I think is part of ALLERGIES. After listening to the entire video I realize I NEED TO TOSS CLEAR EYES in the trash!! THANK YOU for this video!
Hi Doctor, very good information, would you please let me know where can I get warm eyes compression, the ones you are use in you video, thank you very much 😊

I suffer from severe dry eye, literally can't open my eyes when I wake up, I have to use a drop first thing waking up. He nails everything perfect and what works for me, down to the dang drops which took me years of trial and error to find what worked for me.
You forgot one-- Serum tears made from your own blood. Insurance doesn't pay for it, and you need to keep it refrigerated. The only thing I can use now are the hot wash rags over my eyes. It totally debilitates me and affects the quality of my life, but I also have basement membrane dystrophy. All preservative free drops just kill me and make my day ever so miserable, so the last consideration are the serum eye drops.
Dry eyes is a deficiency in vitamin A , the best forms of vitamin A are 1) cod liver oil 2) liver 3) fatty fish 4) butter 5) cheese 6) egg yolk 7) beef
My eyes tear all the time. They are watery eyes. Tears will run down my face and I’m not crying. Is this the same thing as dry eyes? My Dr said yes but he did not mention here in this video about tearing.
Change all your detergent dish especially fragrance and fabric softener. I had dermatitis and severe dry eyes 50 years. That Dawn dish detergent that dissolves the grease also works on your digestive system and your immune system and your Integumentary system I switched to more natural products and it got 98% better they’re poisoning us with every day products
Hi Dr. Michael thank you so much you are awesome I am listening to RU-vid and I do have dry eyes I am 70 years old I bought the drops that you had said and that working really good Doctors now just want your money but thank you so much that you help people to protect their eyes your eyes are very important you are doing the right thing by helping people thank you again
Dry eyes are not always a "stand alone" problem. Sometimes dry eyes are a symptom of autoimmune issues (which, btw content creator, thank you for mentioning this). When my rheumatologist put me on hydroxychloroquine, the symptoms were slightly reduced. What really gave me great benefit was having tear duct plug placed and I'm now looking into having my tear ducts cauterized so that they are no longer functional. Yes, I'd rather have what little tears I do produce make me look like I'm crying a bit.
Systane ultra has helped my dry eyes. Woke up one day and couldn't open my eyes. It was blurry and slightly painful. Bought systane and took about 7ml until my eyes returned to its normal state
A simple and amazing solution for my dry eye has been an eye vitamin using the AREDS2 formula (the particular brand is not important). This formula causes my eyes to feel 95% better and I don't need to use eye drops anymore. It worked for a friend of mine as well. I'm not sure why this simple solution is never discussed. One ophthalmologist thinks it's the Vitamin E in the formula. But when I stop taking it, within 2-3 days the dry eye comes back. It definitely works for me. I'm so glad to have one less health problem to worry about.
@@jeangilliam8890 @aquarius113 @snowbike8032 It seems my comment was deleted, however, just look for a formula similar to what you find in the drug store which uses the combination of vitamins studied in the AREDS2 study. Tip: I found a formula with less zinc in it, because zinc tends to bother my stomach, and I take it with food also.
Thank you, this information is very helpful. I've been using Systane regular for years and it really has not helped much. I'm going to buy Systane Complete now.
Thank you so much Dr Michael Chua, really got enough information. Started having dry eye symptoms, with this info I will be able to myself, tho I have an appointment soon with the eye doc!
Thank you Dr. Chua! This is great information. Coincidentally, I used to live in OC but not any longer otherwise I'd definitely see you!. My mom was just telling me about Systane PF cause she thinks I have dry eyes however my problem is over watery one eye which's consistently pinkish in the outer corner only and it feels watery!. No pain or itch and I've been on a low carb no sugar diet with lots of omega3s for years. Age 53 and no glasses..Any idea what that might be about?
I have had red eyes for years, making it look like I haven't slept or was intoxicated. My right eye gets red the worst and its eyelids will be partially closed if I'm really tired, which is odd. My eye doctor keeps telling me it's dry eyes, yet I've been using Systane for years and nothing has really changed much. In modern day society we are on computers and our phones often, but I always make sure I blink a lot. I do have allergies so that probably factors in too and none of the over the counter medications make a difference. I've even been using Lumify to get the red out, at the recommendation of my eye doctor. But it doesn't really keep the red out for long and it's not supposed to be used more than 4 times a day. It gets frustrating. Oh and I've been taking Fish Oil capsule for around 20 years.
Thank you for this. I have an auto immune disease and have dry eyes. Restasis doesn’t work anymore. Years ago my ophthalmologist had me try Muro 128. It worked then but I didn’t like the hazy vision. I decided to try it again and I am so grateful I did. Between that and lubritated eye drops I’m coping well.
Hello Dr. Chua, I take drops for eye pressure and a side effect is dry eyes. My doctor prescribes artificial tears, single-use as well as Refresh gel. When used the gel, as my doctor had advised, it did blur upon putting the gel in. Though the blurriness cleared up in the morning after in one eye, it never went away in the other. Even though I stopped using the gel in either eye several weeks ago because of this, the blurriness is still present in the one eye. My doctors aren't really clear on what this could be, do you have any idea?
Hello doc..i'm an optometrist from phil. And i too have dry eyes..i also have allergic rhinitis that worsens my dry eyes..i use systane ultra . At bedtime my eyes becomes so itchy that i used to take cetitizine before bedtime and apply cold compress to soothe the itchiness in my lids....my question is..is it best to use systane complete over systane ultra and systane balance without knowing from where your dry eyes comes from ..as we know that these 3 systane products has their indication for different layers of the tearfilm., lipids , aqeous and mucin..tnx and looking forward for your reply
My eyes are not red. Its just that they feel tired in the afternoon from phone or computer and most importantly my vision is blurry in the evening and I cant read small writing or sometimes when I walk up The stairs the stairs are blurry. Its a doctor who told me I have dry eyes based on these symptoms btw

Amazon has many different kinds of masks specifically for dry eyes. Some are “self-heating,” some go in the microwave, some provide warmth and moisture. The list is long and I’ve found they have the best options, price points vary of course but most are very affordable.
I get extrem dry eyes after using mascara. I have always used good mascaras from clinique. I can't understand why my eyes react to mascara now so badly.
Excuse my ignorance, the Systane balance is the same Systane balance propylene glycol 0.6%?? Another thing, why does the second mentioned say in its dosage "only for external use" being a drop?
I’ve used a lubricating eye ointment a few times and it feels irritating to my eyes for a bit. Almost gritty (even though it’s not at all), is that normal?
What do you think abt Castor Oil? To clean the eyes sterile drops? I have I guess dry eye or eye allergies? Not sure. It has came on since 2020. Was 51 then. I CANNOT wear mascara. My eyes start burning, watering awful abt 30 min after applying. Ive chg brands Ive used hypoallergenic. So maybe going to fake lashes...I dont know. Never had this prob b4 2020. Then my eyes are sometimes crusty in morning upon waking. Not real bad but its there. I stopped using makeup pretty much since 2020. But, off an on I get " dry" eye feeling. Not actual pain in eye but like dry, burning, like blowing air rt on eyeball. Not constantly but enough to bug me an make me not want to open the eyes. Also, my eye sight is alot worse in last 3 yrs. Esp night. During day..if I point a flashlight I can read better. No, I have not seen eye Dr in awhile. No insurance. But I will be making appt. I hope Dr doesn't say I cant drive. Im not that blind! Gonna do compress.
Thank for the recommendation Dr! You mentioned a few autoimmune diseases. Would Hashimoto’s with a thyroidectomy cause dry eyes as well? 3 years about and seems to be having eye irritation and dryness over the last few months. Extra gritty “sleep” in the corner of eye. Going to buy the eye drops and add omegas! Thanks so much!
Doc is cequa cyclosporine ophalmic solution 0.09% with or withour dry eyes my eyes feels itching n burning sensation after using of cellpone.tnx.im renato from philippines.meri xmas.

Doc, i use systane ultra high performance i am little unsure does it promote dry eyes or idk coz my eyes are blurry even after wearing glasses. Although, after instilling the systane ultra eye drops eyes become moisted and less blurry but i am still unsure coz my eyes are blurry all the time after.
I think I have dry eye because I get especially tired in the morning and at night, but honestly I don't actually feel tired my eyes just really hurt so I close them so they won't anymore.
Is it ok to get the systane complete eye drops cold in the refrigerator before using to make them more soothing? I've had both eyes operated on for cataracts and they gave me these for dry eyes.....thank you in advance
