Those guys on locked on ACC are a smug bunch, especially Kenton. I have ZERO remorse for the ACC, they started this chaos when they raided the old Big East. Could care less if it dissolves
a) The ACC then only wanted MIAMI, but it demanded BC/CUSE. b) Old BIGEAST schools were free to pass on ACC invites and WVU could have stayed. c) The BIG8/12 killed the SWC and was a party to killing the PAC.

@KANE8225 The Big 12 might not be finished yet with taking teams out of the ACC like they did taking Utah BYU Colorado and both Arizona schools from the pac12
As a die hard Louisville fan I want Louisville to leave for the big 12 asap, it’s a matter of when not if Florida state and Clemson leave and Louisville should get ahead of everything as much as possible. Plus all the regional rivalries and teams in the big 12 are so much more fun to play imo

I’m a Florida Terp. After thinking about this, I’d like to see the Big12 absorb FSU and Clemson. Gives the Big12 more value to balance 3 leagues. As a now B1G Terp, I’d like to see Miami, GT, UNC, UVA and ND (Stanford) in the B1G. Done deal. The Big12 and SEC can divvy up the rest.
@@mauallison7755 The BIG12 is now all Tier 1 rejects and G5 equivalents. The ACC will also deplete from the top and have already preemptively backfilled with Tier 2 schools. There is no feasible path to a peer P3.

Definition of click bait….title is opposite of message in video. Title says FSU picks B12 over SEC/BIG. Message, FSU considering joining B12 after being rejected by the P2.
@@artax84z operative word there is “over” they aren’t picking the B12 over the P2. If they pick B12 is because they have been rejected by the P2 and have nowhere else to go.
ESPN really doesn't want that 10 year extension! They got the SEC now. ABC/ESPN/Disney has been cutting people, shows and etc the last few years. Also, former ACC commissioner John Swofford/UNC grad and tobacco road BB schools believe a 20 year tv deal made economic sense. No other conference has signed a tv deal longer than 12 years. That 12 year deal was done by the PAC10 and they are no more. No smart commissioner would approve a extension knowing the SEC and B10 would sign 2 deals making way more money per year over that 20 years.
@@arronfrazier7873 a) The ACC deal was praised at the time. b) It's likely that another network would pick up the ACC at the heavily discounted price. Remember that there's a reason why there's a new ACC/SEC challenge rather than a continued BIG12/SEC.

Big10 should bring in VA and UNC as BB bluebloods who play occasional good FB. FSU, Clemson, and Miami are not something the Big10 needs. ND and somebody else (Kansas, for same reasons as VA and UNC?) would be the final 2 for that conference.
What can the ACC offer over the Big12? The ACC is the best academic conference and the Big12 has only one school ranked in the top 100 (Baylor #93). If you said to yourself "I don't understand why the ACC added Stanford and Cal" you can just stop at the first part of that sentence because you don't understand. Academics matter. An academically average ACC school like Virginia Tech (#47) is ranked closer to Harvard than it is to the top school in the Big12. Both Clemson and FSU are ranked lower than VT but they would be the best schools in the BIG12.
@@wvgolfnut1 Academics matter to brand, culture and prestige. They matter in media value per viewer. They matter in how many advertisers are interested and the quality of same.
Rather than say, as almost all sportscasters on this topic say, that Clemson and Florida State are despearate and dumb to go to the Big12, why not focus on the strategic reasons to potentially join the Big12. Everyone always concludes that the SEC and Big10 are so superior that only an idiot would go the Big12. Yet, strategically there is a case to be made for this move: 1) It's very possible that these schools achieve mediocraty in the Big 2; 2) there may be more money to gain from winning championships in the Big 12 for your school; 3) the likelihood of getting into the playoffs may very well be higher; 4) if the Big 12 gives naming rights, this closes the gap; 5) if the Big12 gets private equity, this closes the financial gap; 6) more marketing opportunities for Clemson and FSU by beiing a big fish in a smaller pond; 7) money does not equal success. Look at all of the Big 2 teams that are mediaocre and are purportedly getting lots of money. These minor schools should be whipping the best teams in the Big12 with all their money, but they are not; 8) The Big 2 may eat themselves with the haves and have nots within their conferences - and the fact that many "big name schools" may become mediocre teams with decreasing appeal; 9) Big12 basketball and other paths may bring in a lot of money - Yormark is creative; 10) things change; to assume that everything is static and the Big 2 will always be on top is naive and defies the historical fact that things do change for whatever reason or even crazy reason; 11) the Big12 may be less political, more flexible and more accommodating versuses the Big 2 - Clemson and FSU want to feel appreciated whereever they go; 12) watch what happens to Texas, Oklahoma, UCLA, USC, Washington and Oregon -a number of these schools will have losing seasons and none of them may end up in the top of their conference.. 13) Fans want their teams to be successful - there is more opportunity to do so in the Big12; 14) Media rights and money is always negoticable (a true fact). The Big12 can increase their value and get more money. These are only a few of the strategic reasons why it is not "despearate" or "stupid" for Clemson and FSU to consider the Big12. Stop arguing from an inferior position that the Big 2 walk on water and the Big12 has no value. Arguing from that position discounts the strategic reaons by the Big12 is a viable option for FSU and Clemson.
