The answer to beating Denver is moving AD to PF. That was the answer in 2020 when they had Dwight guard Jokic- and that is the answer now. Aaron Gordon can’t do anything to stop AD but AD can definitely neutralize if not stop Gordon. This is why I wanted the Lakers to sign a real center in the off season.

@@datsapaddlindon’t need that just need someone to help out on grabbing boards which were not good at so they don’t have to pack the paint as much and would be able to guard the 3 a little better. Grab boards and you cut down on giving other teams 2nd/3rd chance opportunities

They need to do something instead of having AD being the only big man that can get boards and defend. They may woulda had a real shot then.

You're forgetting Lakers also have the whistle... especially in the playoffs. For example, I'll just read off the last 2 seasons... the Lakers in 2 years have a +1,017 Free Throw Differential. That's more than the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th teams combined. Warriors are ranked 30th with -650. The next person who says Warriors always get calls needs to slap themselves

@@chosen1brand635 That stat is not just last year. Plus, Warriors do have guys that drive to the basket. That's all Kuminga does. Also, Wiggins a lot, and Curry does a lot more than people think. Plus, there are other ways to get fouls & not. Saying LA doesn't get the whistle is either bias, blindness, or denial. I mean a +1,017 in 2yrs lol.. The next closes is the Knicks at +358 🤯. That's a huge ratio

Oh also, the lakers defensive philosophy has been to not foul. Sometimes it’s to a fault and to a point where they allow easy buckets because they don’t want to foul because that’s what they been coached up to do. Do stars sometimes get a favorable whistle? facts, everybody forgetting Jokic and Murray hit some circus 3 point shots. they shot 40% as a team. game 1 Denver was up 3 points 1:12min to go lost by 6 game 2 Denver was up 2 points 1:07min to go lost by 5 game 3 tied in Q4 7:48min to go, this was the only game Denver ran away with it game 4 tied game with 1:13min to go and lost by 2 points not saying Lakers will win the series vs Denver if we get the 7th seed, but i like meeting the Nuggets in the first round than in the west finals when AD and Bron are even more banged up

Agree, if Dlo can find a way to not disappear in every game, it changes the entire dynamic of the lakers. Honestly they have played each other pretty close and it’s literally been the final 2-3 mins of the game that offense falls apart for them. If only we had Vando though 😢

I'm a nuggets fan, and I love my team is getting the benefit of the doubt but if we being realistic, our bench is the weakness. Lakers are deeper but our starting 5 is the trump card. That 5 is going to have to average 40 mins per game to get us a chip this year. Losing Bruce and uncle Jeff brought us back to the pack. heres what you do (PG) LEBRON ( SG) DINWIDDIE (SIZE) (SF) RUI (PF) AD (C) HAYES because rui can match gordon, dinwiddie murray, ad/hayes jokic, lebron can rest on the sg. Aaron Gordon is a big problem because what he does it very underrated he makes that team a championship team because of all the free points rebounds and putbacks, along with jokic.

Acho is Dead Wrong! There is a way for Lakers to beat Denver. Role players stepping tf up! Last year Dlo average 4pts against Denver. That's a disgrace. If he averaged only 12pts. Maybe Lakers win the series considering how close each game was in the end. Dlo playing star-like is the way to beat Denver. Alongside Lebron & AD and crew playing well. DLO is the X factor! Also, Lebron had a torn ligament in his foot last post season. That clearly mattered and isn't the case this year

Do these people not realize that if the play-in didn’t exist, the Lakers would still be in the playoffs? For 40 years, it has always been the Top 8 seeds that made the postseason. They won almost 50 games this season; 47-35. Talking like they’re the 10th seed with a 30-52 record makes you look dumb.

@@TheyWanBeMe100 you have a starting five that’s been a negative all year and the most important game of the year you reinsert that lineup despite the fact you have a red hot lineup on a 4 game winning streak and they’re shooting the ball like crazy. If I were him, Brandon Ingram can be ingratiated back into the lineup after yesterday’s game and there’s no way I’m starting him and throwing off that rhythm. The decision to start him and play Larry Nance, like crazy impacted the game more than people really know.

If Ham gets the minutes/ rotations right we are not worried. In 5 v 5 the Lakers match up well enough vs the Nuggets. Yes Jokic has a slight edge overall on AD and Murray would have a slightly bigger edge over Dlo if we get inconsistent Dlo. But LeBron has a clear overall edge over Gordon so what Ric was saying there was where he went off the rails. By far LeBron > Gordon. Then Rui who is a consistent starter now would balance out whatever MPJ is giving the Nuggets. The issue is the next spot. I would go with Dinwiddie but even if it is AR, he can provide more points for the Lakers than whatever KCP can give the Nuggets. Last season's sweep was actually close and Lakers only lost in the last couple minutes. Its not like in football/ soccer where a team beats another 4-0 you would have to clearly say they are easily on another level. Its not always the same for basketball series.

The issue with the lakers against the nuggets is that nuggets bench and roll players showed up and lakers did not. I would not be shocked if lakers beat the nuggets. All the games last playoffs came down to 4th quarter.
