@@KnuttyEntertainment 2 Tim 3:16-17 says that the Scripture Is inspired by God. Right? So we use it to teach about Jesus. So if there are things not written, should I rely on those that are not written to be the basis of teachings about Jesus? Who inspired them by the way? Take note that we are talking about beliefs based on the Scripture ( inspired by God ) and not just on nutty entertainment books inspired by just anyone Galatians 1:8-9 8 But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach to you a gospel contrary to the one we preached to you, let him be accursed. 9 As we have said before, so now I say again: If anyone is preaching to you a gospel contrary to the one you received, let him be accursed. You are NOT biblical Christian if you DO NOT believe in the God of the Bible (Father, Son, Holy Spirit) and what He says. IDOLATRY is any other false God. In other words, any person that creates their own definition of God and ignores the Bible's, is worshiping a false God and artificial Christ. The first 3 chapters of the Gospel of John makes it very CLEAR who the living God actually is. The last 3 chapters prove it TRUE. 💜✝️💜

You ever notice God is a PLURAL word in the original HEBREW writings of Genesis 1:1 😲 Totally matches John 1:1 and the trinity description (one God, consisting of 3 persons = God the Father + God the Son + Holy Spirit)
@KnuttyEntertainment
@KnuttyEntertainment Год назад
Latter-day Saints do believe in the God of the Bible, they just have a different interpretation. Rather than the trinitarian belief that God is one being in three persons, Latter-day Saints believe God is three beings acting as one person. And that we are all children of God and can participate in that same godly character. Jesus is the Old Testament Jehovah/YHWH, the greatest son of El/Elyon/Elohim (though elohim is also just the common word for god(s) in Hebrew) by following his example, we can become gods, one like how Jesus and the Father are one. To quote Jesus’s final lesson in John: (John 17:20-23) “20 Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word; 21 That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me. 22 And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one: 23 I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me.“ And you are right, Elohim is plural, that’s because there are multiple beings united in the same name, multiple gods, of whom Jehovah is the greatest. Genesis 1:26 “And God said, Let *us* make man in *our* image, after *our* likeness” (Psalm 82:1&6) “God standeth in the congregation of the Mighty [Elyon, the father of Jehovah]; he judgeth among the gods.” “I have said, Ye are gods; and all of you are children of the Most High [Elyon].” In other words, Jesus/Jehovah is our elder brother, the greatest and Only Begotten of the Father’s children. Psalm 89:6 “For who in the heaven can be compared unto Jehovah? who among the sons of Elyon can be likened unto Jehovah?” John 10:34 “Jesus answered them, Is it not written in your law, I said, Ye are gods?” Deuteronomy 10:17 “For the Lord your God is God of gods, and Lord of lords, a great God, a mighty, and a terrible, which regardeth not persons, nor taketh reward” Romans 8:16-17 “16 The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God: 17 And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.” Deuteronomy 32:8-9&43 “8 When the Most High [Elyon] gave to the nations their inheritance, when he divided mankind, he fixed the borders of the peoples according to the number of the sons of God. 9 But the Jehovah’s portion is his people, Jacob his allotted inheritance. 43 Rejoice with him, O heavens; bow down to him, all gods, for he avenges the blood of his children and takes vengeance on his adversaries. He repays those who hate him and cleanses his people’s land.” So yeah, Jehovah/Jesus and Elyon/the Father are separate gods, united as One God, and we too can become gods by participating in God.

@@KnuttyEntertainment it's not an issues of "interpretation" but of "UNDERSTANDING". One of us is worshiping a FALSE "god", and not loving the living God with all our minds (understanding Him). If we both love "thy God...and our neighbors", then we should love each other enough to talk this through (outside of RU-vid comment area) and help the other understand the TRUE God of the Bible. Please Google me, send me a direct message, and let's talk it through directly. You were created "in the image of God" (not as a god), and for that reason I love you enough to invest the time to talk with you about this. Scripture says God is without sin. And scripture says all humans have sinned and are in need of God's saving Grace. Therefore we are not "god's", but simply in a similar image of God. And scripture says Jesus is God, eternal and was never "created". See John 1:1. But also Jesus is a seperate person as human flesh. And the first born of the human flesh in the RESURRECTION as He demonstrated on the 3rd day of/after His crucifixion. The "second Adam", as in, the second cycle of our souls in a flesh vessel, for those who are John 3:3 "born again" similar to how Christ's flesh was. And that one day He will return to earth and resurrect the rest of us, in new and perfect flesh. Not as gods, but as eternal spirits in a flesh that will then never again sin and die, for the glory and worship of God. 💜✝️💜 Do you think I'm misunderstanding the Bible? Yes and no is the answer. Depends on the person. The Mormon faith teaches the bible plus it's own stuff. So do many other faiths. It's a personal decision between you and God. Whatever culture and family you grow up in doesn't matter. God reaches anyone who wants to know the truth. I grew up LDS and am now a Christian. My family is "Mormon". My brother and sister are not saved but good people. I believe my mother is. In the end, it's up to God. He draws us near to him. I ended up going to a Baptist Church and got saved, but I lived a very wholesome life. Courtesy of my upbringing and my personal values. Everyone is different. God can and does reach many people. @@KnuttyEntertainment There are multiple big problems that I have with Mormonism, but let's look at one of the biggest applicable contradictions between Mormonism doctrine and the Holy Bible: how we are saved. The Book of Mormon has the following two verses. 2 Nephi 25:23 For we labor diligently to write, to persuade our children, and also our brethren, to believe in Christ, and to be reconciled to God; for we know that it is by grace that we are saved, after all we can do. Moroni 10:32 Yea, come unto Christ, and be perfected in him, and deny yourselves of all ungodliness; and if you shall deny yourselves of all ungodliness, and love God with all your might, mind, and strength, then is his grace sufficient for you, that by his grace ye may be perfect in Christ; and if by the grace of God ye are perfect in Christ, ye can in nowise deny the power of God. The Bible has the following verses. Ephesians 2:8-10 For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them. Mormonism states that we are saved after all we can do, that God's grace will be "sufficient" for us only if we we deny ourselves and love God as we ought to: basically, after all we can do. Mormonism combines grace and works in such a way that you need works to enter into Heaven and God's grace to make up for your failures. If you don't have works, God won't give his grace. In a sense, our effort to do good works earns God's grace. The Bible says that we are saved by grace without works, that our salvation is not from us at all, so no one can boast. The way one receives grace, not being through works or effort to do well, is therefore entirely faith. Furthermore, in being saved, God is the one who changes us and builds up our works, as we are his "workmanship." The Bible combines grace and works in such a way that works are completely independent of the requirement to become saved, yet still present as a result of salvation. This is an unreconciliable difference between the Book of Mormon and the Holy Bible. One states that works are needed for grace to be sufficient, and the other states that no works are required to recieve grace, that works are the result of salvation. From a biblical point of view, saying that works are necessary for grace to be sufficient is heresy, implying that one needs works to recieve grace when faith in Christ is how one recieves grace, and not works.

You're oversimplifying in order to obfuscate. Members of the LDS faith must be baptized, confirmed, receive the priesthood (if male), undergo the temple ordinances, be married in the temple, and continue to observe all things to the day they die (or receive the second anointing, wherein their salvation is made sure). That's not the Atonement of Christ. That's legalism plus. @@BrendonKingit isn't an oversimplification of things. It is by Christ's atonement that we are saved, period. If you look at Joseph Smith, and what he said, you can clearly see that his inspiration did not come from God, but instead…. it came from Satan. When Jesus was being accused of doing his miracles by the power of Satan, and he said, “how can Satan cast out Satan,” we have a clear example of why a religious system that discounts the word of God can only be satanic. Only Satan would try to say, “we are just adding to the word of God.” This is not the only example of Satan‘s great deceiving aspect: he transformed himself to appear as the angel Gabriel and misled Muhammad, so that he would create a religious system that would be against God’s chosen people, Israel. When the Bible describes Satan’s one world religion, it is talking about Islam. The Mahdi, which is the messiah of Islam, is the Bible’s antichrist. Satan and his demon army…. 1/3 of the heavenly host…..have no trouble whatsoever fooling people into thinking that they are angels of God. One must first establish what is Christian to set a benchmark for comparison. In traditional bible based Christianity, there are tens of thousands of differing denominations, with no two alike. They are all over the board. So there is no benchmark in traditional Christianity to which to compare the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. With traditional Christianity being tens of thousands of differing denominations with no two alike. Then traditional Christianity is essentially tens of thousands of different Christs and gospels. The Bible teaches one Christ and one gospel. The LDS Church teaches one Christ and one gospel. Therefore, traditional Christianity is Christian in name only. And is more accurately a kaleidoscope of gossip regarding a divine thing. It is an image attempting to approximate the divine....a workshop of pretentious actors vying for the part. As for us becoming Gods by his charity is self evident. We are not strangers to him but are his offspring. An acorn becomes an oak, a pine cone seed becomes a pine tree. And the offspring of God become Gods. That's the whole purpose of our creation. We are Gods in embryo. And if by his grace we attain to godhood. Then it can only be that we were always Gods.
@DreadedDormammu

We aren't Gods in embryo. The Lord denied that there were Gods before him or that there would be any after him. There are differences between Christian denominations, no doubt. However, at their core is the identity of Jesus, on which they agree. Ask a Baptist, a Presbyterian, or a Methodist who is Jesus and they will say Jesus is God incarnate. Jehovah's Witnesses make Jesus into an archangel. Mormons make him one of a multitude of Gods. Muslims claim he is a prophet. All three say that the Bible is true.... except where it disagrees with their doctrines. You say Christians make the Bible their God, but the same can be said of Mormons and the Book of Mormon. The BOM is exalted above the Bible.

Scripture teaches that humanity was redeemed, justified, reconciled and begotten again by the BLOOD, DEATH, and RESURRECTION of Jesus Christ. Like the atonement pictured in the old covenant practice, the efficacy of the atonement was based on the sacrifice and the priest, and not on the people that were atoned for. What they believed or did was not a factor. So, based on this, my question would be; if someone calls out to God to save them and accept them as His child, but their theology is incorrect, does God reject them? Basically I guess I am asking whether salvation is based on Jesus and what He did for all humanity, or does it depend on us believing just the right things about Him?

One must believe what scripture says about Him and by Him. He did pay the sin debt for the whole world were they to believe in Him and that He was raised from the dead as the bible states. And of course if one doesn't believe that they are not saved. It does say believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved. Acts 16:31 And they said, “Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved, you and your household.” And it also says Luke 6:46 “Why do you call me ‘Lord, Lord,’ and not do what I tell you? So yes we are expected to be obedient. We must learn by reading the scripture and by believing it to do its work in us2:Philippians 12 Therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, so now, not only as in my presence but much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling, 13 for it is God who works in you, both to will and to work for his good pleasure. You notice v12 obey and work out, meaning doing good and forsaking the deeds of the fleshly nature that are sinful, and 13 shows us that He is working in us to will and to obey. His word in you gives you the desire and will to do that which is right, we must always learn to follow His word. John 6:63 It is the spirit that quickens, the flesh profits nothing, the words I speak to you they are spirit and they are life. This is an important principle which one must learn, the word of God guides us and our thoughts then lead us therefore we must learn to obey the good and reject the bad. Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God Romans 10:17. This is an important lesson to learn, the word of God build Christian character by leading us in the way and providing the power to do so, by faith. As the scripture teaches, I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me, Phil 4:13. Hope this helps, there is a lot here, it takes time and one should read and learn the word of God.

@@amos3three941 Believing causes us to experience the inheritance that was given to us at the death and resurrection of Christ. Like the old covenant picture in the atonement, the efficacy of the atonement is contingent ONLY on the high priest and on the sacrifice, both of which are Jesus Christ Himself. This is the grace message, that salvation and all that involved in it, and our inheritance, were all fulfilled by Christ alone, plus nothing else. Receiving and experiencing something on earth is a result of it already being true in heaven. Working out our own salvation is just that, bringing into experience what is already ours in the spiritual or heavenly realm. As I said in my comment, redemption, reconciliation, justification and regeneration were (past tense) accomplished by the blood, death, and resurrection of Christ. Just as it was pictured and foretold in the old testament. Remember, old testament atonement did not require anything from the entire nation that benefited from it.

I think in time they will shy away from that. There is a lot of Sabbath confusion out there not in just 7th day. The argument of Hell? To this day, it's a debatable issue. 7th day ers believe dieing without Christ is very bad. Protestants and evangelicals also believe the same thing. Burning, could mean anguish. When you realize you've been resurrected and you face the Almighty and he says depart. How will you feel? Would you feel the heat of anguish? Probably x 1000. Then imagine you and I looking at each other screaming, and writhing in pain day in and day out for eternity. Even though I deserve a punishment like that. I can also believe that God is Just and loving. It's hard to fathom such a punishment. However, maybe there are levels of hell? I bring this up because someone that's lived a good life but rejected Christ all their life, would they have the same punishment as say, Hitler? God is no respector of persons. Yes, I beleieve I eternal life, but the opposite, is it really a litteral torment? As I said. Being resurrected and facing God is a hard to comprehend punishment on its own. Reading the books of the New Testament, we possibly asked ourselves more than once: *"Why 2000 years we do not see those miracles that accompanied the Сhurch of Christ in the I century, as described in the New Testament?"* Why do the so-called preachers of Christ have to prove that Jesus really existed and atheists boldly deny the historicity or divine origin of Christ? Maybe because the Сhurch of Christ has not existed for 2000 years? The Сhurch does not exist in the form in which it is presented in the books of the New Testament, but there are Catholic, Orthodox, Protestant and other christian sects claiming to be the place of the Church, but they not have the only thing that distinguishes the divine from the human and is characteristic of just the Сhurch of Christ -the reinforcement of the word with signs, that is, miracles (Mark 16:15-20). Therefore, some researchers doubt the historicity of Christ, and some of them are not opposed to declaring him a an ordinary philosopher, teacher. But even if Jesus were an ordinary philosopher, his disciples would be ordinary followers of Jesus. And they would not dare to write about the miracles that not only Jesus, but also his disciples, could perform. If there were the Church in our time as described by the authors of the New Testament books, where miracles are performed, the sick are healed, where prophesied, and the dead are raised, no one would doubt the historicity of Christ. Then there would be the same controversy throughout the world as in the first century - Jesus the Son of God or the false prophet who seduces the world by miracles. As a result, we can say that the emergence and development of christian sects and atheism was the result of the fact that over the 2000 years the Сhurch of Christ did not exist. Find *"The Mystery about the Church of Christ"* video on RU-vid. The video reveals the prophecy of the disappearance and reappearance of the Church of Christ before the End of the World. There are fewer "myther" Biblical scholars than there are flat-earther scientists. Even the skeptical, atheist Jesus Seminar and Bart Eherman say mythers are very few and very wrong. The miracles were evidence that Jesus was Messiah to the first generation, and the faith spread from there. As Jesus told doubting Thomas, blessed are those who do not see yet believe. God has given us all free will and just enough evidence to choose without being coerced or forced into a decision. As the father of quantum mechanics Werner Heisenberg said, "The first gulp from the glass of natural sciences will turn you into an atheist, but at the bottom of the glass God is waiting for you." The same is true of Scripture, the more you study it, the more you will come to know God. We all have the freedom to choose which way to go. As C.S. Lewis said, "There are two kinds of people: those who say to God, 'Thy will be done,' and those to whom God says, 'All right, then, have it your way.'" God does not force anyone to be with Him for all eternity if they don't want to, and He sends no one to hell - we choose to be outside His presence, which is the very definition of hell.

@@georgemonnatjr.172 You write: *"There are fewer "myther" Biblical scholars than there are flat-earther scientists. Even the skeptical, atheist Jesus Seminar and Bart Eherman say mythers are very few and very wrong."* - Whether less or more, I argue that the existence of scholars who develop a version of the mythological Jesus is caused by the fact that there is no Church of Christ that we read about in the books of the New Testament. If the Church of Christ existed, we didn't need Bart Ehrman to show the fallacy of scholarly mythologists. The existence of the fact that representatives of science invent different "theories" that reject the word of God, clearly indicates only that for 2000 years there has been no Church of Christ and, accordingly, mankind does not see those miracles that should accompany the Church of Christ, as it is stated in the books of the New Testament. If in the name of Christ the dead were raised from the dead, the blind were given back their sight, the armless and legless were restored to their limbs, the terminally ill were freed from disease, I do not think that scientists would dare to persist in promoting various hypotheses denying the existence of God. The reason for the unbelief of most people is that they do not see the miracles that should accompany the Church of Christ as the books of the New Testament state, but they see in abundance the Churches that claim to be the Church of Christ but have no power to perform miracles, and this confuses many people. These 2000 years was a period of unbelief and despite the efforts of the defenders of the Christian faith they failed because they tried to prove the truth of Christ's teachings by human efforts. God will not prove the truth of Christ's teachings through philosophical speculation, the discovery of ancient manuscripts, or archaeological findings. Not at all. That is not God's handwriting. We know from the Bible how God works, God is a living God, and He will live testify to the truth of Christ's teachings. In the first century this is exactly what was happening. Miracles were the chief weapon of Christ's preachers to convince the skeptic of the truth of Christianity. The following fragment is a good example of this: *"And when they had gone through the isle unto Paphos, they found a certain sorcerer, a false prophet, a Jew, whose name was Barjesus: Which was with the deputy of the country, Sergius Paulus, a prudent man; who called for Barnabas and Saul, and desired to hear the word of God.* *But Elymas the sorcerer (for so is his name by interpretation) withstood them, seeking to turn away the deputy from the faith. Then Saul, (who also is called Paul,) filled with the Holy Ghost, set his eyes on him, And said, O full of all subtilty and all mischief, thou child of the devil, thou enemy of all righteousness, wilt thou not cease to pervert the right ways of the Lord? And now, behold, the hand of the Lord is upon thee, and thou shalt be blind, not seeing the sun for a season. And immediately there fell on him a mist and a darkness; and he went about seeking some to lead him by the hand. Then the deputy, when he saw what was done, believed, being astonished at the doctrine of the Lord."* (Acts 13:6-12). In our time we don't see this anymore, because the so-called Christians don't have such power, they are all fake. In the end I want to say that God will be revealed to mankind as He was revealed in the first century, through the Church of Christ. So that there will be no shadow of doubt about the truth of Christ's Teachings. And then all religions and false Christian churches will be disgraced before the risen Church of Christ, through which the same miracles will be performed that we read about in the books of the New Testament.

@@georgemonnatjr.172 You write: *"The miracles were evidence that Jesus was Messiah to the first generation, and the faith spread from there. "* - This is what we are writing about, miracles were proof that Jesus and His disciples were God's messengers. In the first century God testified to the truth of Christ's church by miracles, but for 2000 years we do not see any church that God testified to by miracles. What can we know about the Church of Christ? What was she like? We know about the Church of Christ only what is known from the books of the New Testament. We do not know of any other Church of Christ outside the New Testament. What was the Church of Christ in the books of the New Testament? The church was a strictly hierarchical organization composed of believers baptized with the Holy Spirit, where the gifts of the Holy Spirit were manifested. As written: *"Now ye are the body of Christ, and members in particular. And God hath set some in the church, first apostles, secondarily prophets, thirdly teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, diversities of tongues."* (1 Corinthians 12:27-28). This was the Church of Christ in the first century, but for 2000 years we no longer see such a Church of Christ, there are no Apostles, no prophets, no one has miraculous powers and gifts of healing. But we see gatherings of people headed only by teachers speaking in the name of Christ, but not having the gifts of the Holy Spirit. Jesus said: *"And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover"* (Mark 16:17-18). There we also read: *"So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God. And they went forth, and preached every where, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following"* (Mark 16:19-20). I would like to draw your attention to these words: *"the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following".* that is, miracles reinforce the word of God and they are important for the preaching of the teachings of Jesus. For 2000 years, including our time, we have not seen any believers who have accompanied or are accompanying these signs. But in the books of the New Testament we read that in the first century, believers performed many miracles. As written: *“And Stephen, full of faith and power, did great wonders and miracles among the people”* (Acts 6:8). *“Then all the multitude kept silence, and gave audience to Barnabas and Paul, declaring what miracles and wonders God had wrought among the Gentiles by them”* (Acts 15:12). *"Then Philip went down to the city of Samaria, and preached Christ unto them. And the people with one accord gave heed unto those things which Philip spake, hearing and seeing the miracles which he did. For unclean spirits, crying with loud voice, came out of many that were possessed with them: and many taken with palsies, and that were lame, were healed. And there was great joy in that city"* (Acts 8:5-8). Where are Stephanes, Barnabas, Pauls in our time? Where is Philip, who brings great joy to the cities? In which church do the blind gain sight? Where are the lame and bedridden jumping for the joy of being healed? Where are demons cast out? Where are the dead raised? Where are the Prophets? Where do they lay hands on the sick and get rid of sickness? Such miracles are not performed in any church, anywhere in the world. Jesus said: *“Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.”* (John 14:12). But where are these believers now doing the works of Jesus and even more than Jesus himself did? The Church of Christ was destroyed in the first century and for 2000 years false churches appear that claim to be the Church of Christ but do not have the testimony of God, that is, miracles. It was by miracles that God testified about the Church of Christ, just as he testified about Jesus. As written: *“Ye men of Israel, hear these words; Jesus of Nazareth, a man approved of God among you by miracles and wonders and signs, which God did by him in the midst of you, as ye yourselves also know:”* (Acts 2:22). God testified about Jesus, and then about the Church of Christ by miracles. But the Church of Christ was destroyed in the same way as Christ was killed in due time, and therefore the signs and wonders that accompanied the Church ceased, and now She has been buried for 2000 years, but will rise in the last days as Jesus rose again. The prophecy of the death and resurrection of the Church is present in the parable of the ten virgins (Matthew 25:1-13). "Revelation" also prophesies about the emergence of the Church: *“And there appeared a great wonder in heaven; a woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and upon her head a crown of twelve stars:”* (Revelation 12:1). The emergence of the Church will just be a great sign of the imminent Coming of Christ.

@@georgemonnatjr.172 You write: *"As Jesus told doubting Thomas, blessed are those who do not see yet believe."* - These words are often misunderstood by people. Jesus is not talking here about believing in the miracles He performed, but about His resurrection...blessed are those who have not seen the risen Christ, but have believed that He has risen. And how could people believe in the resurrection of Jesus if they had not seen Him risen? They could believe by accepting the testimony of His disciples about the risen Jesus. And why should unbelievers accept the testimony of Christ's disciples? Because their testimonies were supported by the gifts of the Holy Spirit, i.e. miracles, as it is written: *"And these signs will accompany those who believe: in my name they will cast out demons; they will speak in new tongues; they will pick up serpents with their hands; and if they drink any deadly poison, it will not hurt them; they will lay their hands on the sick, and they will recover.” So then the Lord Jesus, after he had spoken to them, was taken up into heaven and sat down at the right hand of God. And they went out and preached everywhere, while the Lord worked with them and confirmed the message by accompanying signs."* (Mark 16:17-20). In the first century, the Church of Christ performed miracles so that unbelievers would believe in Her word about the resurrection of Jesus Christ. Otherwise, if Christians did not perform any miracles, who would take their word for it? When a stranger comes to your town and preaches about some resurrected Christ, why would you take his word for it? Where's the logic in that? Believers are not fools who believe everything, as the apostle Paul writes: *"Brothers, do not be children in your thinking. Be infants in evil, but in your thinking be mature."* (1 Corinthians 14:20).

@@georgemonnatjr.172 You write: *"As the father of quantum mechanics Werner Heisenberg said, "The first gulp from the glass of natural sciences will turn you into an atheist, but at the bottom of the glass God is waiting for you." - People don't need to drink a glass of natural sciences to the bottom to become a believer. In the first century, the apostle Peter and many other disciples of Christ were uneducated people, but this did not prevent them from believing in Christ, because they accepted God's testimony about Jesus, and God testified precisely by miracles. This is what Peter himself says: “Men of Israel, hear these words: Jesus of Nazareth, a man attested to you by God with mighty works and wonders and signs that God did through him in your midst, as you yourselves know"* (Acts 2:22). That is, Jesus was witnessed by God with miracles and signs in front of all the people. So Miracles are the testimonies of God, and God testified about Jesus and then about the Church of Christ by miracles. This is what Jesus himself answers to the Jews when they ask Him: *"How long will you keep us in suspense? If you are the Christ, tell us plainly.” Jesus answered them, “I told you, and you do not believe. The works that I do in my Father’s name bear witness about me"* (John 10:24-25). *"If I am not doing the works of my Father, the do not believe me; but if I do them, even though you do not believe me, believe the works, that you may know and understand that the Father is in me and I am in the Father.”* (John 10:37-38) The miracles that Jesus performed, and then his disciples, were evidence that God had chosen them to be preachers of His Word. And if today we do not see miracles, then we need to investigate the reason why this happens, and not claim that miracles are unnecessary for people to convert. If you read the New Testament carefully, you will see that just by miracles more people came to the faith of Christ than without miracles. Jesus performed miracles and the Church of Christ, too, so that unbelievers would believe in Christ and so that believers would be comforted in persecution. *"Now there was a man of the Pharisees named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews. This man came to Jesus by night and said to him, “Rabbi, we know that you are a teacher come from God, for no one can do these signs that you do unless God is with him.”* (John 3:1-2). This is the conclusion Nicodemus makes when accepting Christ. When he had said these things, he cried out with a loud voice, “Lazarus, come out.” The man who had died came out, his hands and feet bound with linen stripes, and his face wrapped with a cloth. Jesus said to them, “Unbind him, and let him go.” Many of the Jews therefore, who had come with Mary and had seen what he did, believed in him..."* (John 11:43-45). This fragment also shows that many Jews believed in Christ precisely after the miracle. *"So they remained for a long time, speaking boldly for the Lord, who bore witness to the word of his grace, granting signs and wonders to be done by their hands."* (Acts 14:3). *"And all the assembly fell silent, and they listened to Barnabas and Paul as they related what signs and wonders God had done through them among the Gentiles."* (Acts 15:12). So God does nothing in vain, if He has given the gifts of the Holy Spirit to the Church of Christ, it is for the comfort of believers and the conversion of non-believers.

The main purpose of Mormonism is to follow the laws and ordinances of the Mormon church in order to eventually become a God in which you and your Goddess wife/wives will create your own planet/planets and be worshipped by billions of people as the one true God of your own universe. This is known as exultation. They believe the God of our planet (Yahweh) used to be a man like us on a different planet who ascended through exaltation to become the God of our Universe. Here are some quotes from Mormon literature… “God himself was once as we are now, and is an exalted man, and sits enthroned in yonder heavens! That is the great secret. I am going to tell you how God came to be God. We have imagined and supposed that God was God from all eternity. I will refute that idea. He was once a man like us, yea, that God himself, the Father of us all, dwelt on an Earth.“ -Founder of the Mormon church Joseph Smith He [God] is our Father-the Father of our spirits, and was once a man in mortal flesh as we are, and is now an exalted being. It appears ridiculous to the world, under their darkened and erroneous traditions, that God has once been a finite being.” -2nd Mormon Prophet Brigham Young Here then is eternal life--to know the only wise and true God; and you have got to learn to be Gods yourselves…the same as all Gods have done before you.” -Founder of the Mormon Church Joseph Smith All those who are counted worthy to be exalted and to become Gods, even the sons of God, will go forth and have earths and worlds like those who framed this and millions and millions of others.“ -2nd Mormon Prophet Brigham Young

It simply means that you are not obeying God as a saved person. People often misunderstand baptism in the same way…baptism does not bring salvation. It does not wash away sin. (1) No the Mormons don't say the book of Mormon is a new covenant to Israel or a new revelation. It is correct to say that the Mormons consider the book of Mormon to be "another witness" of Christ and His resurrection. (2) It is correct to say that the writing of the book of Mormon is shrouded in mystery but so is almost every book in the bible from the book of Genesis to the book of Revelation. (3) Was Joseph Smith a prophet of God or not? This is a very difficult question to answer as it is a matter of faith. Were the actions of Joseph Smith in line with what one expects a prophet of God to act? The answer is NO! But who is a man to tell God what to do? (4) It is correct to say that many verses of the Mormon scriptures changed over the years in addition several Mormon teaching have changed to correspond to social reality. The Mormon church is not alone here. All Christian denominations have changed their doctrines here and there to adjust with many social realities. (5) It is totally incorrect to say that Mormons claim that salvation is earned by good work. This is what the Mormons say: "we are saved by grace after all we can do." That doesn't contradict the bible at all. All people can do will not save them, but they have to do something. We cannot just sit there do nothing and think we will be saved. Even Moses asked the minimum to the children of Israel bitten by snakes in the desert: "Look up to the snake on the pole." They did the will of God and God saved them by His grace. Even Jesus said " Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall. enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that DOETH the will of my Father which is in heaven." (6) It is correct to say that the concept of God is outside the scope of how Christianity views God. In fact according to the Mormons: " ““ As man now is, God once was: “As God now is, man may be.”" That is not the Christian knowledge of God at all. (7) It is also correct to say that the Mormon Church claims to be the only true Christian Church on the face of the earth, thus saying that other non Mormon churches are not Christian. In my view, this is clearly a false claim. (8) What would Christ want us to do? Love one another as He has loved us. Pray the father in the name of Jesus Christ that His will be done on earth as in heaven, and follow the example of Jesus Christ to our very best. (9) Let both grow together until the harvest. I personally do not consider anyone a Christ follower under any denominational or religious umbrella title unless they actually experience repentance and follow Christ as He leads them. Not just saying a heartfelt prayer at 6 years old and then living for the world until they die in their 70s or 80s after living a miserable life and making others' lives miserable even while attending a biblical church faithfully. I have relatives that claim a certain protestant denomination and have enjoyed Jesus working in their life even considering Jesus as "my friend" but then turn and ignore him on all significant matters keeping their faith progress lukewarm and yucky. So they are protestant. They are "Christian," but they do not follow Christ. (Side Note:Jesus isn't not some kind of spiritual sugar daddy thankful for any crumbs of obedience we throw His way in life. The Rapture will surprise many. I grew up with Once Saved Always Saved it is now a passionate pet peeve of mine.) Back to your question, people might tell you they belong to this or that faith or denomination but they might not for better or worse. So I would ask them their stance on Jesus and His teachings. People have such mixed up theologies and cultural identities. Think TV evangelists and RU-vid pastors and prophets that catch people's attention in their darkest hours yet they would never consider themselves anything other than "fill in the blank" faith group/denomination. Or more likely they might combine different aspects of different teachings to help them in their times of need. There isn't any telling what combo of beliefs a person has these days but they might still claim their families' or friend's faith tradition for ethnic or cultural reasons. So, no I would not recommend Mormon or Muslim theology as the straightest path to Christ Jesus, but people are not easily categorized anymore if they ever were. Take them on a case by case basis. God is so cool how he brings us into the truth despite tons of misguided theology. He knows how to get through to us with truth whatever poor theology one might partly cling to.

Of course they are, they’re the really real REAL truly true TRUE one amongst all the other REALLY real true ones 😂 All Christian based beliefs are the really real one and true Christian faith 😂 To those of us who know better, seeing Christian’s argue about who’s right and wrong is nothing short of quality entertainment.

You are very miss informed and are starting only partial teachings, or totally miss quoting LDS doctrine. I also find it interesting that people dictate what God can and cannot do when they don't have all writings from all of Gods prophets from the time of Adam down to Jesus Christ. If God reveal's his doctrine the only way to know if it is His is to pray and ask God, not some guy who tells everyone that you can only worship how he thinks is correct. You need to learn more before you speak.

They ARE generally very nice, kind people who try hard to live by generally Christian standards… and if you define ‘being Christian’ that way, then they would be! But that is to misunderstand Christianity completely. Christianity isn’t about how we act or what we do, it’s about who God is and what He has done on our behalf. Having been raised in the LDS church and with many family members who are still in it, I can absolutely affirm that Mormons don’t know or understand who God is, or what the Christian gospel is. If you meet one, I recommend that you ask them to define it, and if it fits in the conversation, ask why that is good news. I love my family and many of them are generally ethical and nice, and have done wonderful things for me personally. But they are not Christians🤷🏻‍♀️

Acts 4:11-13 King James Version 11 This is the stone which was set at nought of you builders, which is become the head of the corner. 12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved. 13 Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were unlearned and ignorant men, they marvelled; and they took knowledge of them, that they had been with Jesus.

In Acts 3:19, Peter prophesied that the heavens would receive Christ until the times of the 'restitution of ALL things"!!! This prophecy was fulfilled in part when Christ appeared to Joseph Smith to begin this process of restitution! What was restored? The true chuch with all the former priesthood offices and priesthood authority, the true foundation of prophets and apostles, baptism by immersion and the laying on of hands for the gift of the Holy Ghost (born of the water and the Spirit), etc., etc., etc. Also, prophecies from Malachi wete fulfilled as Christ suddenly sppeared in His temple (see Mal. 3) and the return of Elijah also to the temple in Kirtland (see Mal. 4)! There are so many other things I could write, but I dont have all day to respond to an apostate ignorant fool, but I will just say this: If the LDS church, with everything restored that I have mentioned, is not the true restored CHRISTIAN church, the where in the hell can it be found, and when is the hell can it be found, and when and where in the hell will Elijah return?!?!?!?
