This is what my builder said was the issue with my the ON3 TT install the down pipe was a pain in the ass to line up. I developed a tiny little exhaust leak over time but its liveable and the car made more power then I was expecting anyway so I'm happy as hell (2012 S197 FYI)
It's the vbands they use off the turbo. I always check them to make sure they are flat because half the time they are slightly warped. I always do the down pipe first and then connect to the wastegate since the gate does have the receiver groove.
I run the on3 single kit on my '18 s550. been making 910whp on 94 and meth (no e85 around me up here) for the last 2 years issue free. Had some minor fitment issues, but nothing that a torch and a hammer couldn't fix. Friend runs a hellion kit, cost 4k more and makes little less power but his fitment was dead on perfect. The kit almost fell right into the car lol
What did u order with the kit because I know it comes with some options for injectors and gauges and what not. I just wanna know what only the necessary stuff is because I’m saving up and I’m on a budget. But I also want it to be reliable. What else would I need to re enforce on my car. I got a gen 3 10 speed yote. Only mods done is 🌽 rn.
@@sawedoff1722 I run ID1050x injectors, Fore triple pump fuel system. That's all stuff that was already there from previous boosted setup (vortech JT V3), so saved on that stuff. But even if it was to be included, the kit would still be cheaper than the Hellion. Other than that, just got the upgraded 80mm turbo.
@@MrDaavee how much hp can the 76mm handle? But what cc injectors would u recommend? And what gas mileage could I expect if I drive conservatively? I’m getting 15 rn on corn but I think I would go back to 93 on the turbo
@@sawedoff1722 I heard you can make 1000whp on the 76mm, but can't confirm. The 1050x injectors are plenty good enough up to like 1100hp. Seen some guys make more power than that. As for mpg, you don't do this with that on your mind lol. I can't comment what you will get on corn, but I have seen 24-26mpg on the highway cruising at a "slightly" higher than the speed limit with cruise on. My s550 is the 10spd too.
@@MrDaavee oh no dw I know it’s gonna be shit but like how shit is wut I was asking lol. Idk if I’m gonna get that much the way I drive rn because I was getting 18 on 93. What internals of the engine should I be replacing or anything like that? I plan to use the boost controller a lot because I still need to daily this car and the most I would push it to would be maybe 800-900 whp. Nothing too crazy.
So with the 15-17 you don’t have to move the fuse box? I was looking at the Armageddon Fuse box relocation kit for my 16. Going from Whipple to turbo over the winter.
I have a 2019 mustang 5.0 with 40k miles, thinking of buying the twin turbo kit from on3. I want to reach at least 900-1000 hp on stock motor. Will that be possible or do I have to build the motor ?
@@DavidVanVoris Thank you sir. Had never heard of the washer fluid removal in anyones video. The fuse box is an issue my guys running into. Hopefully he figures it out. They'll have Chad at On3 on speed dial after this I believe!! Keep up the videos. Just sold my '93 LX to my builder. Love em, but she just sat around. Looking forward to your latest build sir!!
What you think about the hellion twin turbo? If money wasn’t a problem would you rather go with the hellion twin turbo kit or the on3 twin turbo kit? Planning to make around 1200whp
I just talk to a ON3 dealer in Columbus Ohio today and ran across your video I have a 18 I'd like to get TT kit for it you meantioned buying everything except the turbos and gates I was thinking the same thing how much is everything minis turbos and gates I'd definitely rather use a precision
@@DavidVanVoris i have a gen 2 5.0 and only want 650-750whp on 93 pump. turbos look better but i want reliability as well. should i just go ess for simple install? they can both get me the power i want
Which is what, extra 20 hours of labor to pay for? Along with having to replace a bunch of parts the kit already supply’s Much easier and less $$ to just buy the proper kit
@@Mkiv-A80 unless you had a on3 i don’t think you can say that or installed one. I installed one in 1-2 days and didn’t replace anything. Kit worked fine. It may be just a kit and a miss.
@@dbrownent I have in fact installed a bunch, not just on3 but hellion a few others as well. One kit was so bad the customer ended up selling it and getting a centri because of piping misalignment issues
@@dbrownent I shouldn’t talk shit, nothing is perfect. Had a 1600 kit for a r35 that did not fit and was eventually returned. But I think there are no shortcuts when attempting to make good, consistent power
Would you suggest single on3 or ESS for a everyday street car/ roll racing. 7 to 800 whp if possible on stock motor and trans.I have a 2019 401a pp1 10r80. I don't have to be the fastest. Just want a fun car.Great video. 🇺🇸
I need to order a single kit here next month. I'm looking at the bl fab kit vs the on3 80mm kit. Is the bl fab kit really worth double the price tag? I'm shooting for 1300-1400 whp out of this new setup.
im going with on3 but replacing the flange and using a borg 88 on my 19 GT. running a th400 trans and a alumi bottom end. at the end of the day for easiness id go with BL Fab my friend at dsg runs that kit and makes 1300 wheel. im shooting for around 1400.
