It's about time, the Tourists Realized that Soldiers and Police tell them warnings for a very Important Reason. THEY SHOULD TAKE NOTICE OF THE WARNINGS !!
Many people are clueless about how dangerous horses can. A friend of mine was killed by a horse that lashed out. I worked with horses for years and have seen what they can do.
@@barbaradyson6951 Growing up my neighbour had her leg broken in 3 places by her horse who was frightened by something and lashed out (not his fault and he was never blamed). Ever since I have considered horses to be dangerous from all angles, safe only when on the other side of a sturdy fence and even then at a good 2m distance (the ONLY exception to this are Icelandic horses and it's taken a friend of mine 20 years to persuade me they aren't going to act in the same way other breeds do). I feel they need at least one who isn't shy about biting those who get too close, it wouldn't take many tourists being bitten for the message to get home to them that HORSES ARE DANGEROUS - and a bite is painful so it won't be forgotten in a hurry.
I understand that tourism and pageantry are part of the attraction for England, but where else in the world is this blatant disrespect tolerated at military bases by active soldiers?
@@jamielyallleathan you say ignorance is people watching these videos..but you seem to be watching them too..the guards have every right to shout at the stupid people who interfere with themselves horse's and the work they are doing for the King within the armed forces. You don't seem old enough to know everything..more of a protest person me thinks 🤔
That woman at 4:53 puts her son practically on the horse and becomes angry when the horse almost bites him. There are sign stating the horses may bite. What is she mad about, she did it. Stupid woman
@@drjamespotter well if she’s a nanny she should know better than to put her charge so close to the horse. Bad enough that a parent would do that, but for a nanny to put someone else’s child so close to danger is ridiculous. And don’t tell me it wasn’t dangerous. The horse could have easily hurt that child and people should respect their size and keep their distance. The guards shouldn’t have to be babysitters too
The horse just tried to. Bite some one and then 3 tiny girls go for a picture! Smh...so stupid parent or whoever is the caregiver..they are stupid for being so negligent
About time the squaddies found their voices, they're only human and being ultra polite just does NOT work with most of the idiots! I'm not saying all tourists are idiots btw, just the ones who don't think that polite requests don't apply to them!
I agree with you 100% I get so frustrated by 60% of the Human race. Common sense is something they lack. Kindest thoughts to you and your family and Furbabies from Australia x
I think it’s his idea of a tourist trap tbh, stand there looking all dozy and cuddly then bite the arm off any unsuspecting tourist who falls for it! 😂
@@bonnieweeks7601 someone was bit today by one of the blues and royals horses, got her twice, cos the silly woman went back for more, he actually left a mark on her skin..
The Soldier made me smile, he’s taking No Messing and l haven’t heard that saying in ages ( Are You Taking The Mick ? )😅😂 The guy obviously tried to push his Luck with the Wrong Soldier ,
That is a fine example of why you don’t touch the reins. The guard knew how to steer the horse away from the child very quickly. Holding the reins you could take control and anything could happen. It could turn out to be a very bad situation with people injured. Try it while your mate is driving 60 mph down a motorway and grab hold of the steering wheel. See what carnage you would cause. It’s the SAME DAMN THING. SO STOP DOING IT.
If the horses ears are back leave it alone! This is a simple thing which all young riders are taught when they are beginning to get ready to begin riding.
So, a mother literally forces her son to touch the horse after seeing the horse attempt to nip at others, including children, and the result is the horse tries to nip her child and she laughs. What the heck kind of mother does that to any child, no less her own child?
Far to many of them genuinely think they are actors paid to dress up and act as they do in Disneyland. And I blame Disney for that, before they decided to model all their stupid actors uniforms on British rather than other European uniforms this didn't happen, people KNEW they were genuine military. But thanks to Disney people now just think they are actors.
Some with big holes in their head seems to think they are at Disneyland! Like the old man when the guard told his wife to step back, (they was about to change horses . Guard: "Get back!". The man: "for what????" And he was not happy.! Idiots, fools , nobheads! One family let their small daughter stand soooo dangerously near the horses frontleg!❤😱😱😱.WHY IS IT SO HARD TO UNDERSTAND????? You can easily get killed by a horse..STOP THIS MADNESS!
About time he bit a couple then, word would soon get around among the tour guides who seem to accompany a lot of the stupid idiots. IF they saw what could happen then they would rapidly warn their paying clientele because while the military can't be sued (and the horses certainly can't be) they COULD BE if it turned out they knew but didn't warn their customers first.
What a kind and beautiful soldier touching the horse so awesome .... this is no environment for animals .... hot and exhausting standing still....all this people
People just don’t understand, those horses could get spooked and some tourist could get smashed under its hoofs. Kings guards are professionals, but a horse can just in a flash decide to take off. 😮
Good thing the sign has been updated but I think they should have designated spots the tourists stand on for the incessant photos they must take. It will keep a safe distance between them and the guard and horse. I really don’t understand why people stand there and stare at the guards or must touch the horse!
I am afraid it is time for the soldiers to be withdrawn from duties where tourists can interact with them so readily. Those of us who are old enough to remember when the Guards at Buckingham Palace were outside the railings then were brought behind the railings for their own safety and security. Unfortunately it is a few badly behaved visitors who spoil things for everyone. Some tourists forget that these are soldiers not actors in some Disney film.
My late father was a Grenadier guard outside Buckingham Palace and The Tower. He used to see Edward the abdicator regularly in the small hours of night! Apparently the guards were told to stand easy, so as not to draw attention to this late home comer.😅
If people would act like they have left their house before that would be great. They can watch videos like this to learn what not to do before they get there.
That is one pissed off trooper, poor lad….and he’s a big strapping young fella, I wouldn’t cross him. I cant believe one of those tourists cheeked him.
@@nicenancy7694 I had to go back and watch it . I waited till the guard in camo was where he was in the thumbnail and turned it up. I’m shocked how some people act when they go there. I’m not British but I know better than to act like a rude jerk !
@nalasimba You are indeed correct! They wear long shank bits, they are uncomfortable, even painful to the horse. A " busy mouth " could highlight a problem or two, a hanging tongue the same, it could indicate the horse seeking to remove contact with the rider. In the case of heavy or inexperienced hands it could cause nicks, grazes, cuts & bruising to the mouth. ( short & sweet )
Way to go yes tourists at times are like a mob, have no idea of there boundaries and definitely not aware of what is going on around them, tunnel vision. Looks like the horse has got his tongue over the bit, so this would make him or her even more irritable.
I hold all respect for the military personnel serving their duty. Their patience and tolerance is typically outstaanding however that was a bit of a yank at 5mins in. 😕 Maybe an instinctive reaction in protecting the child? (I always try to see more than one perspective!) Again, it would not have been required if people actually had the common sense they were born with... If a horse is agitated, give it space. And certainly don't stick your child in the direct bite zone, people!
Bitey horse is Arnie isnt it? And thats the guard who also takes no prisoners on his back. Wth was that woman thinking with her little boy in the black check shirt?
This tourist had been touching the horse and if they get hurt by the horse itcwill be their own fault because the sign are there for them to see clearly if they cant read good luck to them
I dont understand why the tourists hang around for so long just looking at one horse and rider. Surety when you have seen the horse you move on to the next place on the itinerary. When i took my family some years ago people didn't hang around getting in the way.
