This song is perfection. My mom recently passed away and I love this song because she played it so much when I was a kid. ❤️

@@dancefloor9032 Greetings to you from Chicago. Yes, I am grateful to have been exposed to great music early in life. She had all the greats in her record collection and she even learned to like hip hop as well, especially after I got involved with it.

@@Docmananoff Music is always good for the soul, when I saw Luther Vandross live in Germany in 1987, my soul grew the most. To this day I have been listening to the new music and I am grateful to the people from the USA for the great music. Greetings to all of you from Heidelberg / Germany

@@DocmananoffHi, I stumbled across Tierra Whack again, the song `` Peppers and Onions '' did it to me. With the Roger Troutman sound, the music sounds very good. It's also a good song to dance to. Just great that there are such young musicians as Tierra Whack. Greetings from Heidelberg / Germany

One of Aretha's most beautiful interpretations, since the 80's this song is an icon, Aretha's voice is unmistakable. Thanks for reacting. Abraços fron Brasil ITZJ :)

This is a beautiful song. Ruben Studdard sang it well in honor of Aretha's legacy.

This is truly a touching song by Aretha ..What a beautiful vocal gift she has. Could you react to these two songs by Aretha ``Pride, A Deeper Love ` , and `Willing to Forgive`...Thanks

You gotta always believe that an angel will come along and share a life with you. More people know the meaning of this song than will admit it...but being alone can be a lonely place!

It has the same effect on me. I love what the Hammond organ does after the French horn break. I have a word on the engineering, though. I have "Angel" on three records in my collection, Hey Now Hey (The Other Side of the Sky) and Ten Years of Gold (from 1976) on LP, and this greatest hits collection on CD. Ten Years of Gold was my first, and frankly it spoiled me. The sound is so dynamic, percussive, clear, and open that it fills my living room even at less than full volume. It's almost as if the other records were made with some compression or filtering. Every song on Ten Years of Gold is like this, wide open and clear. If you can find a copy in good condition, buy it. Your ears will love you for it.

Let's be clear, this song was written by Carolyn, Aretha's little sister who was a lesbian or a Bisexual in a secret relationship with a woman who refused to be out and open. As a Lesbian this breaks my heart that Carolyn just wanted to love and be love with the person of her choosing. R.I.P. to all three Franklin sisters. 🙏 🌈🌈🌈

This seems more like a religious song, like a strong desire to connect with God.

Nah, I think it's more anthropomorphic in nature..I think she's talking a certain kind as opposed to the kind of men she's had

@@calmnrelaxed It is indeed a deeply spiritual song! A deep profound longing that is a clarion call from one's very Soul, for sincere, true to the bone, faithful/monogamous intimate companionship, that is forever and ever! Many make that call, but few are answered with the real thing!
