😇🦋💖 Aretha Franklin singing - "Oh Me, Oh My, I'm a Fool for You Baby!" recorded 1971 released 1972 - MICHAEL HENDERSON plays Bass guitar!~ From the wildly successful, Soul/R&B album, "Young, Gifted And Black," her eighteenth studio album, by Atlantic Records. The album is Top 10 Gold-certified and won Franklin a 1972 the prestigious Grammy Award for Best Female R&B Vocal Performance of the Year!~ It takes its title from the Nina Simone song "To Be Young, Gifted and Black", which was originally recorded and released by Simone in 1969. In 2003, the TV network VH1 named it the 76th GREATEST ALBUM OF ALL TIME!~ Guitarist and friend Eric Gale is erroneously given bassist credit on the album track...

I remember this they cut out microphone off at the end so they can go to a commercial break this was on Soul Train and there was a lot of backlash about that was back in the early 1970s! Back then Soul Train came on once a week only on Saturday mid-morning And so did American Band Stand!

Aretha is everything to me . Singers of today are good .But hey do not WOW! me like Aretha. Aretha died from pancreatic cancer as well as my mother in 1992.A horrible cancer that is undetectable until it is too late .This is the blueprint of my life and this performance is why Aretha is the queen of soul.And the original queen. August 16,2023 marks the five year anniversary of Aretha's passing .
