The thing about the Argentina national team is that they don’t need to be in top form and don’t always have to be at their best in order to win games. At the Copa America so far, they’ve won all of their games at the group while not conceding a single goal, with all honestly, there’s an argument to be made that they can still play better than what we’ve seen from them. I still think that they’re the favorites to win the Copa America, but other contenders such as Colombia and Uruguay have looked more convincing than them: Colombia haven’t lost in their last 25 games in international football, Uruguay have been on fire under Marcelo Bielsa and they’ve started this tournament with a bang. From what I’ve seen with other teams, they’ve looked much more hungrier and dangerous than Argentina and with this team you can see that the hunger isn’t there anymore and you can see that with the players and you can’t blame them for that since they did win the World Cup, it’s a new tournament for them and while the results are good enough since a win is a win, you want to see a better version of them. This team is getting results they have a solid defense and they know how to create chances and at times are on the front foot going forward, in front of goal, they can do better at converting their chances because with how much they’re creating, you would think that they would be scoring 5-6 goals a game and that won’t always be the case for them. They’re able to get away with their wastefulness in front of goal and how they’re able to take their foot off the gas when they look comfortable in a game when they play against teams like Canada Peru and Chile, but when they play against better teams in the latter stages of the tournament like Uruguay Colombia and even Brazil assuming their team fully clicks, they won’t be able to get away with poor finishing as those teams can open them up pretty easily no matter how good their defense is. Forgot to mention, that they need to start games off much better as they’ve yet to score a goal in the first half of a game in the Copa America and it’s true that Argentina can win it all if they make some glaring improvements and play more dominantly.

Canada is a rising team. They've proven then can play on the same field with top teams. Canada just needs to learn how to finish. They won't get any further than they are now without scoring more goals.
