everyone wonders what the war of 1999 was and this was it. Dracula, scared for his life, running all over castlevania while Julius chased him non stop.
Well, it could've been worse. Imagine if it was Richter instead. Soma: This castle is so creepy. I just have to find Mina and get the Hell out of here. Richter: DIE, MONSTER! Soma: Huh? Richter: YOU DON'T BELONG IN THIS WORLD! Soma: Yeah, I really want to leave. Can you help- Richter: TRIBUTE? YOU STEAL MENS' SOULS AND MAKE THEM YOUR SLAVES! Soma: Wait, what? I mean, I _collect_ souls, but- Richter: YOUR WORDS ARE AS EMPTY AS YOUR SOUL. MANKIND ILL NEEDS A SAVIOR SUCH AS YOU. Soma: Look, can we just talk- Richter: HYDRO STORM! HYDRO STORM! Soma: Why is this happening?!
*when Hydro Storm just makes him wet* Richter: What is THIS trickery?! Soma: I DON'T EVEN KNOW WHY YOU'RE DOING THIS! HELP ME GET OUTTA HERE!!!! >.< Richter: ....... *Hydro Storms again* Soma: PLEASE STOP! This is the only clothes I have!!!!
Julius having memories from the start would surely go and kill Graham right away. This would break the sequence and probably prevent Soma from becoming the Dark Lord by never meeting Graham and obtaining required souls beforehand.
46:23 Balore & Julius team up. Event so important to Julius that he even change clothes after the fight starts and use "Optical Camouflage" in last round! 😂
It would be really cool if Julias could also damage enemies. Given how powerful his attacks are, it could be fun using him to hit your opponents for you.
My guess as to why Julius only sometimes shows up is probably Memory, the rooms he doesn't show up are typically very Large, or more complex Bosses, so he probably can't show up due to memory limitations on what a room can use Also I find it hilarious how he always shows up with the flash of light when you save
I had to pause the video and framestep to figure out that the waterway secret room you passed on was the Handgun. You have some kind of supernatural sense for garbage weapons.
I wonder if the game makes a distinction between "Cutscene" Julius and "Stalker" Julius... and Jupiter just won the 50/50 and beat "Cutscene" Julius first. Because beating "Stalker" Julius didn't open the Headhunter/Graveyard door. So I don't think beating him in the double match would open up the door to Chaotic Realm
I really love this concept, lol. Too bad no platforming logic, but then it'd probably be impossible. I 100% agree that Curly made this remotely streamlined.
Yoko: "Hey Julius, let's suppose you could kill Dracula's current incarnation right now, but to do so you needed to kill a boy who so far hasn't done any evil---" Julius: "A BOY? WHERE IS HE? WHO IS HE?" Yoko: "Wait, it was just a hypotetical--" Julius: (Zooms off to the Castle)
Imagine. There you are trying to live your daily life. Going about work. Or trying to study hard. And there he is. A grizzled veteran vampire hunter, stalking you relentlessly, flicking you repeatedly and being a complete pain in the arse. What a jerk.
39:03 FUCK that got me!! I woke up my entire house from exploding with laughter! Getting whacked in the face right during a cocky laugh, just classic!!
Esto desde la perspectiva de Dracula es aterradoramente canonico y posiblemente lo hayan correteado por el castillo en alguna ocasión. El "ULE" me perseguirá en mis pesadillas
as someone who recently got into the castlevania series, and whose first game was aria of sorrow, i can confirm this is what my dreams looked like for a week after beating the game.
The author should make it so that Julius starts using his arsenal from phase two either at the second half or near the end of the game This is truly entertaining otherwise
