Good honest review Marion, and I agree with you. I understand people who spend a lot of money on a razor because I certainly have. I bought a Rex Ambassador on the black Friday sale, I simply could not resist. I also purchased the Henson Ti22 +++ and a Blackland Blackbird. All of these razors provide a spectacular shave. The difference is that the Ambassador and Henson Ti22 +++ are on another level while the Blackbird is not in my opinion. The blade tabs on the blackland blackbird are even slightly exposed, which I do not like for my head shaving. Also, the precision on the top cap/base plate isn't as good as other elite razors. Nobody needs an elite razor to get a good shave. If you want a superior machined razor in high a quality material just go to italian barber, look at their aggression chart and pick your stainless steel razor. The truth is, my game changer 76p gives me the perfect balance of smooth yet efficient shaves for 55$. It also comes with one of my favorite handles in shaving the super knurl.

The machined finish is an enhanced finish of 63. When first machined it is much more rough. This extra cut with an endmill at slow pass and high speed tool increases cost of mnfg.

Wouldn't they do that before the satisfaction finish anyway. I feel most razors at a lower price point do more for less. The Rex Envoy is a perfect example. $150 USD

I am also done purchasing expensive razors. I am going to keep the ones I have, but I am done buying razors completely. I have a lot of razors and I always seem to go back to use just a few. I use my Karve Overlander Brass, Rockwell 6c, Henson ti22+++, gamechanger 76p, and for my perfect one pass shave the Rex Ambassador. I am also done spending a lot of money on soaps. I need nothing other than my stirling scentless soap and I will be happy.

Amen brother. I have about 40 razors and use a rotation of 6-8. Have over 60 Stirling soaps and love the value and scents. I have not bought any shaving supplies except blades for a few years.

Enjoyed the video, I kinda agree about the price point being a bit high, but I have had some bad “luck” with some mid range razors. Also with mat finish razors, so I’ll go with the machine finish any day. Good to note that trying different blades with your razors might improve performance. Got some different blades to try
