Wonderful song and outfit.

I work with people with developmental disabilities and can say this video is freaking awesome. We take these people on mall walks all the time and aside from the crazy outfits this is kind of what it feels like. You're just hanging out with this person who was born into shitty circumstances and just trying to have a good time with them and give them a great day. I love the fact that Ariel has it so the wheelchair bound dude is the one with the phone trying to get numbers. Awesome video.

man, this song grows on you. Ariel Pink is a mastermind when it comes to capturing that nostalgic feeling.

Ariel is amazing at making catchy, addictive pop music. But I think more than that, there's a great depth to these lyrics that just makes it beautiful. The guys in this video are desperate, too scared to look at themselves or what they're offering to anyone else, but still looking out for love. Anyone that seeks out finding love in other people (and either the anticipation / rejection that comes from it) can relate to these lyrics.

I love that this song and the video might go over be people's heads and be taken too literally. This is one of the reason's why Ariel Pink is one of my favorite singers nowadays - other than the Madonna incident - he makes the perverse lyrical. He reminds me of the director of Happiness in that way. Does it all have to be sugarcoated for us? When it isn't it is so much sweeter.

This is pretty nice, it sounds good and touches on some subjects that most musicians would never dare approach, especially if you include the video in that. Just because you're in a wheel chair and completely paralyzed, it doesn't mean you don't need some good naughty time, everyone does!

This song and video repeatedly brings joy to me; there is humour and levity, brought to a potentially difficult subject. Imagine being put in charge of a wheelchair bound person for a day with no training or experience. We need more outside the box thinking like this. I say, Brilliant execution and well done to this artist. And of course, the dress sense is sublime, Ariel. Bravo!

See for some reason I thought Ariel was a bigger deal than he is because to me, he is THE greatest musician of my time. He is doing shit no one else can I think. Genius is an understatement but the fact that this amazing pop song has only 2 million views is wild. When this came out I heard it in Sheetz and I was so ecstatic cause I thought he was going to blow up. But I think that was wishful thinking cause the rest of the album is a hard listen if you’re not musically inclined. But it is a genius album like all of his other albums nonetheless.

This video certainly makes me feel creepy but it was great fun annoying people in the Eagle Rock mall from my techno goth wheelchair with my union war surplus Bane mask. Consider my character as the brother of Bane who had no aspirations for exercise and was wheelchair bound. Things not shown in the video are: Me throwing food from BolliHut (JolliHut?) at cranky children passing by; Me shouting at Ariel to have more wheelies and spin arounds in my wheelchair; Me almost vomiting (dry heaving) after attempting to eat Jollihut fries; me scaring a small kid and almost making him cry by pointing at him and then myself; me falling asleep in my wheelchair; attempting to get into the small Hurricane Machine in a wheelchair....If you thought I was dreadful then watch some of my videos on youtube and keep in mind that I am in a wheelchair but only in spirit at the Eagle Rock mall the land of forgotten retail outlets.

I get it now. This video is about true friendship being more important than superficial lust. In life. neither protagonist has found anyone who wants them based on what's on the surface, but at the end of the day, they still have each other. This is really a nice critique of mall culture, which is very shallow and unrealistic- and it puts a double whammy on things by also ridiculing pick-up culture, which is already like a fun house mirror being held up to the double-standards of fickle love interest.

I feel like I just found a portal into a very similar, yet slightly alternate universe where my life path looked slightly different. My God this is great ❤
