Wild raptors used to be able to pounce, knocking you off your mount if it wasn't big enough. It was nuts. If you didn't have good armor and health, then you just died from meeting a random raptor you didn't see. It made them ridiculously dangerous.

Most of all they will surround your dead corpse even after you've died 20 times just trying to get your lost loot.

It's been a while since I lived in terror of raptors. One thing this clip reminded me of is their huge aggro radius.

Hey phlinger, I've recently got into ark and have been binge watching all your soloing the ark videos. Would you be willing to do a guide on the most useful Dino's to have for a single player game, and the stat allocations for them? Or maybe even a sort of progression guide, what you should be making sure you're getting done early, mid and late game?

That pack ability is AWESOME! This is the sort of knowledge I was seeking! PS, I know you probably already know this but I found it quite helpful was that if you have a torch and a saddle, you can remove the saddle from your mount and combine the torch with it to keep your hands free. Handy for finding your mount at night too if your like me and lose it 🤣

Yesss!! Honestly I know them coming out of the woods to eat your face can be super annoying but I do genuinely really love raptors, a pack of raptors is always my first carnivore tames when I play hahaha

A helpful tip is that if you get 3/4 or more raptors that are lv 100+ they can easily take out multiple brontosauruses at a time, each raptor will lose about 100-300 health per bronto depending on the level, they make is so much easier getting prime meat.

14:33 I would like to point out something that I don’t think many people know about but you can put a torch on a saddle so you don’t have to hold it

that cave in the last part of the video, i happened to go explore that with my raptor and we got lost, and it just happened to croseed a lot of insects like bugs and stuff like that, my raptor is a life saver for real, even tho run out of stamina while fighting those, they're also so good when traveling, outrunning some dangerous dinos like rexe's.

Gen 2 tek suit has the same armor as hide and infinite dura if your on a cluster where you can transfer its good for the easier caves since it's free

I thought that raptors were unaffected by bolas, now i realised that what i was trying to tame was an alpha raptor😅

I usually try to tame one, then use that one to tame higher level ones until I end up with two 140-150 male/female pairs and I’ll have like four or five in a pack.

I wish Wildcard would give back pounce ability for all wild Raptors. I just love to see some funny glitch situations where Raptor pounce on you when you are flying in TEK Armor, and it keeps the game challenging even when your character is on higher levels.

On mobile I noticed that the base speed for a raptor is 120%, their preferred kibble is the parasaur kibble.

My Most Hated dinos are hesperornis, the thieving little junkies.

So, I had a pack of raptors and 5/6 of them got the pack buff from my leader. I lost those 6 followers to an alpha but my new pack, only 2/6 gain the buff from my leader. Both sets of raptors were all fully bred and imprinted, some by her, others not who go the buff. Any idea why some are and some aren't getting the pack buff?

Do you guys know how to daisychain a tamed raptor pack? I have about 6-7 raptors that is want to use to guard my base from wild dinos (I'm in solo server) and to go kill/tame things. Having 5-6 raptors follow you at the same time is absolute chaos and I'm looking for an organized way of getting them to follow me or at least stay with the pack leader

Pack Leader command isn't working for me. In fact not even the pack is formed. I press C but nothing happens. No particle effect showing me that pack is active either. I have 4 Raptors and I am riding the highest leveled one. Levels are 220, 150, 82 and 80 Official/Ragnarok Server.

Wildcard removed the pounce ability, didn't they? Pretty sure they did so it doesn't work anymore.

i have a raptor named hunter and hes amazing... his stats : lvl : 113 . gender : male . health : 960 . damage per hit : 40 . carry weight : 253 kg . stamina : 330 . movement speed : 120 % ... hes red... he has a saddle on ... and hes the alpha male of my raptor pack... i dont like my dinos with to much health or low health. i also have another raptor her name is claw and she has simaler stats ... her stats : lvl : 104 . gender : female . health : 880 . damage per hit : 40 . carry weight : 226 kg . stamina : 300 . movement speed : 120 % . shes green ... she has a saddle on .. and shes the alpha female of my pack... hunter and claw dont need any others ive seen them take down a lvl 30 therizeno in seconds and they both lived with around 530 health each... i dont lvl up there health anymore the only thing i upgrade is carry weight and nothin else.. there good at hunting and traveling and ill explain how i feed them.. i go on a killing spree killing little packs of low lvl raptors and every therizeno we see. i also kill : carnos, baryonyxes, dodos, lystros, trikes, sarcos, and everything we see until hunter and claw get the job of gathering 10 stacks of meat and i feed them both around 4 stacks of meat every 2 weeks... dont pick a fight with them and stay out of sight they kill every one . rehehe ..

I can't tell you how many times I've been ambushed by raptors while doing.... anything in ark 🤣🤣. First thing I do before anything is get my speed stat above rapture speeds and stamina enough to GTFO of anywhere
