The Hogs throttle the horns 40-21 behind 333 rushing yards and a swarming defense. It was the first game between the two teams in Fayetteville since 2004.
Boomer Sooner to Hog Nation! Any day Texas loses is a good day. And Arkansas was savage af with the Horns Down. Even all over the scoreboards at the end of the game. Refreshing not seeing penalties for unsportsmanlike penalties after giving the Horns Down like the soft Big 12 does who treats Texas like a child that needs pampered.
Texas fans said it would be a blowout. Boy were they right! WPS! Me and my dad's final Razorback game that we'll be watching in the state of Arkansas for a while and the Hogs come through in a big way.
We all knew what would happen. Arkansas has hype this year idk if that’s a good thing. Ready for sat. See what our nerves look like. Either way it’s a win. Even if we get blown out. (We winning at home) a loss in the first game against a playoff team will humble the students and better prepare them and also have the excuse it was a playoff team 🥲🤣😂
Will never be able to put into words how much this game means to me. First year watching Hog football was as a 8 year old in 2012, the John L smith year. My dad always told me about how great the Hogs were in the Hatfield and Holtz days but I never saw it on the field, convinced him to make the last minute decision to drive from Conway to Fayetteville at 2:30 to barley make it in the Stadium before kickoff. Me and my dad had been to tons of Razorback games, but he is getting older and getting to the stadium was so though on him by the time we got in our seats I knew this would probably be our last big sold out game together, and we did that to Texas. A moment I’ll cherish forever
Beautiful I bet your dad loved every second being with his son and watching the hogs beat Texas. Something he will cherish for the rest of his life may he be happy and healthy for many more years.
Similar story to yours. Grew up watching the hogs with my dad. Of course in the 70's and 80's they weren't on tv every Saturday like they are now. My dad 78 who had lived for 22 years with an artificial aortic heart valve got to watch the hogs and the horns on tv one last time. And oh how he loved watching the hogs whip the horns. The next day, Sunday, my dad did not feel well. Monday he did not feel well but got a little better. Tuesday he seemed fully recovered and we all went up to visit with him like we did often. Wednesday night about 11 pm my mom called me and said we needed to take dad to the hospital, he was hurting real bad in his gut. Little did I know that when I helped my dad get in the car to go to the local hospital that it would be the last time I ever spoke to him where he could actually hear me. He was moved to the Little Rock VA hospital early Thursday morning. My dad who had been with me all 52 years of my life passed away friday morning just after midnight, technically what we would all still refer to as late Thursday night. So this game means a lot to me too. I could not think of a better last game scenario than this. He wouldn't even let anyone wear texas longhorn hats or shirts in his house. He made my cousin leave once, we thought he was joking but a few minutes later we all realized that you do not wear texas long horn anything in his house! LOL, gotta love those old fellas like my dad, a different breed for sure, I miss the old fella!
Texas alum here. Your story is awesome. I lost my dad last year. He died one week before this game and did not get to see our beloved Horns get hammered by your Hogs. My brother and his wife and kids (one a UT student) were at the game and said that the environment was unreal. They enjoyed it despite the loss. Most...I said MOST people were nice to the lol. But I would give anything to be able to watch ball with my dad again. This fall it will really hit home agian that he is not here. He would have loved the fact that the Hogs and Horns were going to be playing again in the SEC. As it should be. We love this rivalry so much. Being from Texarkana, it means a lot to me and my family. Hook Em!
@@robcarpenter1225 both of y’all have awesome stories. And like you, I cannot wait to regularly play texas again. It’s an actual rivalry, and not some dumb manufactured trophy game. I’ll counter that hook ‘em with a Woo Pig Sooie and horns Down!
@@charahantheman8298 Thanks Longhorn fan, Razorback fan since 1977. I know us older guys who grew up with the SWC are excited about this rivalry, win or lose. You guys are still up on us 56 wins to 23 losses.
One of the greatest if not the greatest game I've been to! Pittman has done an amazing job in a short time. The future is very bright on the hill! And MAJOR credit to every fan who was there tonight! What an atmosphere
From the time we parked to the time we got in our seats EVERY Texass fan we encountered was a classless asshole. To hand them this beating was absolutely amazing! Loved being part of that noise and calling the HOGS we all love! Great win! WPS and as always🤘🏻⬇️
I heard the arrogant Texas fans ridiculing our stadium, our city and state, making reference to hillbillies, talking about how everything is better in Texas, and predicting a Texas blowout win.
Honestly that's not at all surprising considering how many obnoxious Longhorns fans felt compelled to troll Razorback channel comment sections all week, making delusional predictions such as a 40-point Texas victory and saying it wouldn't even be close -- well I suppose they at least got half of that right! LOL -- always feels better to get that win against teams whose fanbases act like classless d-bags. #WPS
I live in Texas and I truly prefer Arkansas. It’s concrete hell here. Go VOLS and congrats hogs, happy for you people and how you’re loyalty has been rewarded
Did you really expect anything less then classic assholes from Texas? I l am a long time Razorback fan. Texas is the reason Arkansas left the Southwest conference. I have lived in MO. For over 40 years and everyone here hates the Longhorns too. They thought they were in charge of the Big 8. They tried to get all the TV rights and act like they were the only team that was worth watching. So Mizzou left and went to the SEC. Nebraska left too. I am so happy about Arkansas laying the hurt on Texas. I can't stop smiling. I can't wait for Texas to get a taste of SEC football. I don't think they are ready for what's coming.
Please. You beat an average Texas team 🤣. With a first year coach & staff, new people at skill positions, new offense and defense, playing at home in front of a full house of thirsty fans. Let's not 🚫 start any Hogs Nthe CFP talk yet.
This was even more lopsided than the final score indicates. Tremendous job by Pittman - this was probably the most impressive I've seen Arkansas look since the last time they crushed Texas.
I think it's safe to say that coach Pitt has the Hogs going in the right direction. Great win, this will go a long way for confidence and the recruits in the stand.
@@jamedlock83 I would have said it was possible under past coaches. Not this staff. GA Southern is different and no slouch, but the team will be ready and prepared. Of that I am genuinely certain.
I laughed nonstop for like 10 mins after the game and after this video I started laughing again It feels damn good to be the team who had the most noble honor to show Texass what they are in for when they come to the SEC Austin if you think tonight was bad just wait to you meet our big cousins in Georgia and Alabama. Playing like this our lil cousin Vandy might thump you too hahahahahahaha
That was a perfect introduction to Hawg City, if I was a football player that's a team I want to be a part of, I think Pittman is an undercover genius because that's a genius recruiting move.
A little more air on KJ's interception and that's a TD. I look forward to seeing KJ continue to refine his passing game. I expect the offense to get more vertical as he gains experience.
Man, I don’t even care that they ended up getting in on their last 4th down play. Those 3 stands at the 1 yard line were beautiful. We didn’t just win, we embarrassed them.
Embarrassed them for real. Texas fan said, " thats just freaking great, a mercy neal at the end" like he took it as sarcasm, that we showed no mercy the entire game except in that moment when it didn't really matter.
I was an honorary Razorback fan for this game, w/o any ties to your school. It’s just great to see Texas get their asses handed to em. Great win by your guys! 👏👏👏👏👏.
I Absolutely Love it! OU SOONERS Fan here who Lives in Granbury, Tx. Most people in Granbury HATE THE UNIVERSITY OF SHIT( tex) because them and their Fans are Such Assholes.
Great upload dude! (Its my 5th time watchimg 😆) and Shoutout to Joe Tessitore for giving us a pass on that field storm. Most announcers would bash it, but he let the people know that we deserved it! Well worth the fine too! WPS ✌🏾❤🐗🏈
As a 66 year old Hog fan this is really one of the nicest wins I've witnessed after the last few years now sitting at 8-4 and looking forward to next year ,just so glad to not be a joke anymore.
I will always come back to watch this game’s highlights. I’ll always remember where I was (in the whitten room 109 Clinton oklahoma). I can remember who I called and what we talked about during half time this game will always be special to me and all the razorback fans who share the memory of this amazing game.
45 National Championships!!!!! Go ahead SEC kick us out of the SEC, that's such a joke to me! The Razorbacks would be the last team to get kicked out of the SEC!!!!!!! Touch Down Razorbacks!!!! Love you Paul!!!!!! Paul is callin those Hogs in Heaven!!!!!!
As an OU fan living in Texas, thank you Arkansas. I got a lot of family out there in Fort Smith. I remember watching it with them and there were a whole bunch of smiling faces in the household!
Now this is the Hogs that I grew up watching and loving I like they said Texas would win by 6 but what they didn’t know was we would dominate them by 19 points
After the way this amazing season has gone, I always find myself making my way back to the Texas game since this was the best game I’ve ever been to and one of the best nights of my life. WOO PIG amazing season guys. SAM PITTMAN FOR COTY
@@dapartymarty8941 Yeah I can definitely see that. He's got great speed despite being 240, and he plays with tremendous physicality both running AND blocking. Love the depth we've got in the backfield right now.
It's amazing how much more physical they have become in just a year. It's hard not to be excited to see where this team goes. On a side note, I don't remember the last time I was excited about our Def. Line. Man what a win. WPS!! Great job on the highlights as well
This was an AWESOME win for Ark. As a Bama fan I say congrats, Ark. Texas is in for a wide awakening for when the get into the SEC. if they can’t beat the Jayhawks then…. We’ll, have fun bottom feeding with auburn at the bottom (auburn’s recruiting classes have been around 12th in the sec since Harsin took over.
@@perryanderson5642 Jesus, sure is great to know how hateful towards TEXAS so many people are and to know they count TEXAS as a mighty obstacle to overcome!
@@hithere7382 no no…actually…that’s a good nickname. The kicker from tornado town lol. I live in Oklahoma. Moved here when I was 10 in 2000 so I know all about Moore.
@@houseontherock8345 I missed the 2013 Moore tornado by about 35 minutes on my way home to Little Rock, and I missed the 2011 Jasper tornado by less than 10 minutes before that. Prior to that a little I missed the Vilonia, AR 2011 tornado by 9 minutes on the way back from my friend's house. In 2014 the same thing happened to that town but I wasn't nearby. Then in 1999 I was in elementary school and the nearby grocery store was destroyed by an F2 tornado, the only fatality was the pharmacist but all of the pharmacy shelving units were completely undisturbed... In 1997 I was at my grandfather's farm when an F3 tornado plowed through and completely destroyed his long, skinny 400 acres of pecan trees orchard. That tornado strengthened into an F4 and destroyed a large portion of Arkadelphia, AR. Needless to say I have a bunker under my backyard. It's like a tornado shelter except it's thicker steel, a lot of concrete, and instead of going straight down to the door you go down and take a 90 degrees left turn to get to the door to resist overpressure.
@@hithere7382 always good to have one of those and not need it than need it and not have it lol. I was within about a mile or two from the 2013 tornado. I was at the Warren theater theater. I remember them putting us in the hall way and a mother and her daughter came in beside us panicking. We calmed her down to find out that on their way in her daughter had gotten lifted off the ground by the wind but her mother was thankfully holding on to her hand and was able to grab her. I’ll say this, any time the sun is up but the sky is black…it’s bad out lol
Last week when he had the super long touchdown that got called back my first thought was we may have our own Cam Newton and KJ kinda reminded me again this week, he's going to be a problem for defenses, lets Go Hawgs.
There are few things more humiliating than lining up against the Victory formation. I enjoyed the hell outta watching that. I might say it was my favorite play of the game.
@@kbrown1054 Perhaps Sam Pittman respected Texas, but no one else did. The jumbotron was showing Horns Down animation at the end of the game. The whole Arkansas bench was throwing horns down signs. The fans stormed the field before the Texas Players got off the field, and Sarkisian hinted at some uncomfortable moments trying to get their players off the field. The environment was anything but respectful to Texas. I understand Sam Pittman not rubbing salt in the wound. It was probably the right thing to do, but man it would have felt good to run another touchdown in at the end. However, this is not a 'serious' complaint. I am over the moon that we won.
