yeah man i was surprised u can turn Arma into AVP, halo and star wars shit with mods... purchased it for realism, stayed for all the funny non-realism mods 😂

This works great. Put the trigger where the player is at the start, this case Blufor and give it a few seconds delay. You do not need a civilian or waypoint.

I'll just run through a few things that may sound obvious to check... 1) Are you loading the MODs to run the mission? 2) Have you removed any MODs esp ACE? 3) Are the MODs you are using up to date? 4) Have any MODs been updated since you used them for mission? -If you let me know about these then I can help you further.

@@WhiteRaven thanks alot for replying man rlly appreciate it 👌 1) Yes i loaded the mods and followed the instructions ie ACE requires CBA so i also downloaded CBA from steam workshop 2) Removed ACE and re-load it again, still the same error popped up saying "ACE requires a certain version or higher for combat_rhs_usf file. You have none." Not only that error is my concern, my command screen is gone so evrytime i press F1 F2 etc to call out individual AIs, the function works but in the first place there is no display of the individual players name at the bottom left of the screen. Same goes to my high command. There is absolutely no more panel or whatsover. Empty space. There is no voice coming out from my player when telling the other AI to move. Like usually its like "2, move 100m front!". Now, no voice at all. ACE is still running properly ie i can inject morphine,bandage, heli rappel etc but idk if im rlly missing out on any other vital features of ACE due to the error. 3) I assume that they are up to date since i got it directly from steam workshop from their creators. ive nvr installed any mods via other methods. 4) Went back to the steam workshop to check and i believe the one i subscribed to is the latest version.

@@johnwig285 ok so unfortunately ACE is a pig when removed from a mission even if you put it back. I personally have had to write off 3 of my missions because of ACE. So i think the best bet is for you to make a quick video and send it to me (or a link) of what you do (from the start) to load mission and show errors and we'll go from there. Going forward...Firstly I would strongly recommend you use MODs from armaholic as this is where most originate and ACE from ACE site. A lot of MODs on steam are uploaded by others and then can differ. So if you and those who use your mission use armaholic/original source MODs they will always be the same. Secondly I would layout as much as you can without ACE, save a copy and then add ACE as close to the end as you can this way if ACE messes things up you have not lost all. Yes this makes it difficult for using ACE menus/advancements but worth the extra faff. Hope this helps and I understand your frustration if it's any consolation. I'll await your vid.

The easiest way would be to place a small trigger near the civi and when your player approaches the civi maybe get civi to say something (sound clip) like "these are the coordinates you are after" and another trigger fired by that trigger with a delay (how long the sound clip is) that gives player task/coordinates. Hope that's what you meant and that makes sense? If not let me know and I'll sort something out for you.

Do you mean change their faction in/during game or just how to add red or blue into the editor?

@@meanjune To add either into the editor simply select the blue square or the red diamond and go to 'men' in each. As far as switching sides it may be better for me to create a video on how to for you.

Do you mean changing factions during gameplay?

I mean when placing a unit in the eden editor, can you change the faction by editing the unit or something. Sorry, i'm new to arma.

@@olliecheung6903 NP i just didn't want to risk teaching you to suck eggs...so as default the faction is bluefor/nato and the blue rectangle highlighted signifies this. Simply click the red diamond to the right for opfor/csat or the green square for guerrilla and the purple square for civilian. Hope thats what you meant?
