Are armadillos and echidna related? Also I don't know if I've asked this before but could you do a video about the armadillo girlded lizard

Echidnas and armadillos are not closely related. It's amazing how nature can produce similar animals that don't really share lineage! I don't believe I've seen those guys requested, but I just got them on the list. =) Thanks!

I saw one yesterday on the show dual survival. Sadly the little creature was all they had to eat. Poor little dear saved two people from starving and I discovered how cute the animal is

In the United States, if you have leprosy, it's pretty much guaranteed that you got it from an armadillo!

Who said armadillos and pangolins aren't related? I consider them 'kindred spirits'
@indyreno2933
@indyreno2933 2 года назад
They're not even related at all, they belong to entirely different orders of placental mammals, armadillos (family Dasypodidae) are the only living representatives of the order Cingulata, whilst pangolins belong to the order Pholidota, interestingly enough armadillos and pangolins belong to entirely different superorders as well, Cingulata is most closely related to the order Pilosa (Sloths and Anteaters) and is included within the superorder Xenarthra, whilst pangolins belong to the great superorder Laurasiatheria, and the pangolins are most closely related to the orders Erinaceomorpha (Hedgehogs, Gymnures, and Moonrat) and Carnivora (Carnivorans).
