This demonstration of various duduks, tav shvi, and pku by Harutyun Chkolyan is part of a series of interviews with members of the Naghash Ensemble. It was filmed at the U-M Stearns Collection of Musical Instruments as part of the Naghash Ensemble residency (March 7-9, 2023) and organized by the U-M Center for World Performance.
The Naghash Ensemble, a contemporary music group from Armenia, plays new music created by composer John Hodian and based on sacred texts by the medieval Armenian mystic poet and priest, Mkrtich Naghash.
