I love how Rusty's radio becomes really staticy after he overclocks the railgun, really makes it feel like there's a colossal amount of energy going into the next shot
@@Prockskihearing the noise in the distance, the screen shake as it charges, and that moment of deafening silence before the shot connects. Not to mention the shot itself visually splitting the sky in half, and the damage exploding out the backside of the Ice Worm's head a half-second later. Incredible.
It’s so crazy that you can see how powerful the shot is what makes it even crazier is that correct me if I’m wrong but I think the rail canon is across the ocean!
meanwhile Rusty was the chad actual rival that you could respect, and admire what he was capable of, dude was like "I won't miss" and then hit a shot on a target several miles away with a rail cannon the size of a PCA ship, dude was nuts
0:50 one of the hardest moments in all of gaming for me the way you hear the gun charge up then it goes silent and your hear Giga Chad Rusty “I won’t miss.” So badass
@@Prockskiyeah cuz he shows u respect unlike snail who looks down upon u. Even when u try to kill michigan one his subordinates underestimates u and Michigan quickly orders him to show respect. According to Michigan G5 iguazu is 100x stronger than that subordinate of his and raven is 20x stronger than iguazu. So asks them to do the math and someone from his squad actually did the math🤣 “sir its 2,000” funniest banter in the while game
Rusty-Chan! While the most chill, I remember finding him one of the spicier arena fights. He caused me more issue than the S Rank fights tbh. What experiences do you have with him in the story?
Those epic one-liners made Rusty seem like an anime protagonist! I think most people would wonder “am I the bad guy?” When they are forced to fight against him.
"I've got your back, buddy. Hope you've got mine." That tag team was legendary. Dusted the first guy but I got overzealous with the second dude and ended up getting jacked up so I hid behind some debris taking pot shots while Rusty cleaned up the last 10% of the dudes health lol. I make a great cheerleader!
@@Prockski Rykard for the challenge and the absolute insanity that is his second phase when he starts pulling out those hellish spells of his, Ice Worm for how much of a spectacle it is to witness the whole fight.
@@erzabryantara9004 It was definitely something. I’m just starting a new game plus run to try out the extra missions and see what’s new. I hope we get more like this.
This fight might just be a scripted spectacle sequence. But god damn is it fucking awesome. The banter between all the ACs is awesome and Rusty solidifies himself as a giga badass. It just feels so damn epic
Having just did this, I really liked it. It really put on display how immersive the comms chatter can be, and of course how audio and visual design elevates the experience. I will say though, if you do end up missing and it drags out (like the third bit here), it definitely hampers the experience. So much so that even with repairs or mostly full health, I'd still restart the run because it didn't feel good to lag behind on my hits.
this was a fantastic gimmick boss, just wish we got to see more "over the top" kind of stuff from it. like imagine if it changed the terrain we were in for the last half and thats when the fight really kicked in? lol, cinematic amazingness though. I personally loved the 3rd ending boss fight the most, mechanically intense, and cinematically breathtaking
Ive not got to the third ending just yet but I am slowly making my way through my second playthrough. I feels way faster this time around but I guess its because I have my build down and know what to expect with each mission.
@@thesha7447 I’ve taken to using other stuff due to all the people complaining to me about my love of tank legs. Now I try run one for fun with tank legs and also one with something else. 😂
4:51 This series of lines went HARD. You can parctically SEE Rusty's AC hooked up to the firing mechanism of the rail cannon, cranking the power past all safeyy thresholds, ignoring the way the cannon shakes and crackles with energy as he lines up his next shot with steely-eyed calm.
@@Prockski Nah, I suggest you don't. I like Daemon X Machina but I'll admit its not to the same level of Armored Core. Its developers wanted to do so many things but in mid-development realized they could not implement them all so they scrapped the extra features and retooled it into a looter shooter. Even then when it was released it was a pretty basic looter shooter; they only improved it in subsequent patches. Example: Factional warfare was planned but had to be abandoned. Despite that, all of the factions still send private messages to you thanking you for joining their faction as if the option was still there.
that first shot when the sounds die off for and rusty delivers his line is pure cinema that being said this might be the worst boss throughout the whole game
@@di-gun5791 I've already beaten the boss. Anyway I was using a reverse joint build focused on breaking the enemy's stance with the plasma sword and dealing high damage with the pile bunker, but I would often miss the weak point even at point blank, so it was very frustrating until I changed build
I had to make a couple of videos with me using something else because some people made comments about the tank build. I’ve been on tanks in AC games for a couple of decades and love them even when they were garbage. I enjoy it so am happy they are competitive but if you want to see non gat tanks then I have a video or two you can check out.
@@zmss8537 They didn’t figure out a thing. Remember the training mech for tank treads? It features two gats and a grenade launcher. That would have given everyone new to the series taste of the firepower and survivability.
@@zmss8537 Well I’m sure the training likely gave the rest a helping hand in forming their view. We can blame Fromsoft for the proliferation of it as they put it in everyone’s hands.
Check out Ongbal’s videos to see true art in AC combat. I feel I might switch to something more graceful but I’ve been using tank builds since the early days of AC.
I feel your frustration, especially since Sea Spider limits you into this, and the existing weapons at the time just don't do enough dps, and this itself is a bit of a dps check. But in NG+ runs when you unlock the full armory + coral weapons, you definitely have more room to play with stuff. Saw someone beat Balteus in under a minute with a quadra laser setup, not something you can do in the first run and you're kinda locked into either shotguns or burst rifle, but on the NG+ you can run what you like. It helps with replayability at least.
@@Prockski so have i, last raven is still one of my favorite games of all time, it's just funny that it's a build people seem to gravitate towards- whether they be new to the series or not.
@@Chr0maY lol it’s people giving me comments like this that made me post a couple of vids of me using other stuff. Call me weak willed but I had to prove I can play outside of my tank faves. 😂
Looks amazing but one thing is bugging me, that thing isn't even leaving any marks on the snow where it is going underground. It's a detail they could have added in 2023.
@@thomaskeen3582 The shock of first getting dumpstered by it was something else. It didn’t take me as many tries as Balteus but there was something about it’s attack patterns that really opened my eyes. They have made some excellent boss moments in this game.
Also a bit of an aside, while turning speed used to be a stat in AC, it’s not actually one here. Your turret turns automatically when a lock is acquired so that’s no an issue with the legs at all.
"For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life." John 3:16
It all depends on your skill and build. You can read about how people have rage quit at the tutorial boss or the chapter 1 end boss. There is always a way to win it just depends on your ability to find it or make what you have work.
This is what we call “gimmick boss”, they provide us special weapon and extra support to defeat it. Its part of From game design for immersive gameplay.
