I'm such a mecha geek for white glint. Someone moded the speed in AC6 to have Gen 4 speed and it was amazing. I believe its Armored Core's answer to Gundams Wing Zero. (a battle angel representing hope)
Ah, the legendary White Glint. Easy answer to that question, *HELL YES.* White Glint lives up to the name as a speedy beast with great weapons and boy the Saline 05 on reg 1.00 is op has hell.
@@armoredcorelore In Reg 1.00, White Glint's missiles had far better tracking than they were supposed to. They got a lot more bang for the buck than other spread missile launchers.
lol I don't really think this was that hard of a question to answer but a fun one to follow the story on. I was impressed at the S rank on the Big Sol Dios AF using missiles, I've only ever tried it with the Ogato.
Been waiting for this video to drop, and was super excited when it was forshadowed it in the previous one. Anatolia's Mercenary is my favorite protagonist in the franchise (safe for perhaps 621), and the second White Glint is my favorite mech design in the whole series. I love so much about this NEXT in particular, from its stylish knightly-esc design that stands out amongst the rest in the game to its somewhat heroic motif, ad well as lore. A mech that seems to embody the idea of a guardian angel of hope in a world with practically none that left. One so badass that even when he is no longer the protagonist (losing said plot/gameplay armor), and tragically falls in battle protecting Line Ark whilst fighting alongside, or against Strayed (be it on purpose, or not) he simply refuses to die, no matter what path Strayed ultimately takes by the end of the game. With even the NEXT's legacy living on via the N-WGIX/v (and quite possibly Nine-Ball) despite how... saddening that idea seems to be lore-wise. Glad that under the right hands this reborn Raven can in fact conquer the world ruled by LYNX and corporations even if with great difficulty were it to try, and doom the old world to start a new one. Its funny how much... easier the fight against the Spirit of Motherwill can be for White Glint the second time around though, makes that stalemate all the more suspect. Its also a bit funny how Ravi Ravi seems to consistently cause you some trouble given she's your favorite which might be why.
Agreed white glint is certainly a character in ac lore that seems to have touched the hearts and minds of many pilots. This idea of protecting something others see as old and a pain while also scaring powerful corporation into having to hire two top class lynx to take him out. And oh this angel can and yes it seems me the line between like and hate is one I seem to tread with revi revi. She is a tough foe.
I love this format ACL, the way you both go over the machine's lore and importance in the game world and review it from the actual player's point of view is a really interesting watch! Would love to see you cover more of these. Big cheers!
Great video! I hope you can do Noblesse Oblige soon. Despite White Glint's being a fan favorite, Noblesse was one of the very first ACs that got me into the franchise, aside from the Crest AC from the AC3 opening.
Thanks for doing this one! It was fun to watch. I'll admit that whenever I had NEXT battles in the story I'd switch to Regulation 1.00 and use the missiles, they were so amazing!
i cant help but wonder if the answerer was originally being designed to deal with them, hard to take down and irradiates the whole place, thatd doom line ark even if they took it down also i did a white glint cosplay in ac6 and was surprised at how well it dealt with some enemies like the ibis gets absolutely wrecked by spread missiles
It is a fair take. the Answerer is used to clean up orca in both the league path and the orca path. And its fair to suggest line ark would be in the firing range. However it opens up more questions then answers to be honest as i am more in the idea that the league left line ark to rot away since their power supply and defence have gone so they are going to die off slowly. And nice =) I admit i would like to try a cosplay of redrum for a playthrough just for fun.
If you think playing on reg 1.0 was a nerf to glint eastwood then you're wrong, 1.0 is the most busted version of the Saline with the absurd tracking. This was effectively easy mode. Edit: I kinda prefer that it was played on 1.0 though, shows the true power of our boi.
As soon as I unlocked white glint on my second play through I exclusively used it for the rest of my time with the game excluding the aaliyah cause I definitely used it too lol
I do. I am a fan of gundam mostly the older uc stuff like 080, i recently got into patlabour and loved the mechs from code geass. As for games i am a big fan of the sd gundam series, chromehounds and lots of others i have picked up and played like front mission, BREAK ARTS II and more. I do like to try any games with mechs like xenoblade chronicles on the wiiu.
@@armoredcorelore great taste. I like macross, gun buster, and most Gundam esp unicorn and 0083. For games I'm a super robot taisen (srw) fan and have beaten every single console release since psx (every one that has been official or fan translated, at least)
@@armoredcorelore I own a DVD copy of Patlabor that I have yet to get into my possession again, but it's a series and film worth getting into, I think the animators are the same as Ghost in the Shells, so the realism and attention to detail is a step above Gundam and doesn't disappoint. Plus, the jokes that some have about characters looking pretty ugly in low lighting or specific lighted settings like throughout GITS is intact 💀💀💀 The attention to detail even on environment puts many anime to shame. If I had to vote, I feel like Patlabor needs a multiplayer mobile title in full 3D, it's definitely been long enough to bring it back in another medium, as well as Ghost in the shell itself in my opinion, especially based off the PS1 title in modern day... War Robots would be ran into the ground. And I do play war robots few and far between, but it lacks depth and openness in combat that I actually crave.
@@RG9r0n1n I managed to get my hands on the ova and a blue ray of the tv series. I admit i have yet to watch the blue ray. But i watched the ova and found it to be quite charming with the cast even if sometime a little weird especially the sea monster episode.
if i recall correctly they nerfed those spread missiles in their next regulation points after 1.00 i don't think they were overpowered in terms of online gameplay but they were a killjoy in the story, since you can just mow down every Enemy NEXTs just having those equipped. and could even mow down some if not all arms forts. i was told that the 5 next mission was told to be the hardest mission in the game, but people brushed it off and claimed how also easy it was because of the spread missiles. i personally think that if fromsoft really wanted to make the story more rewarding, they shouldn't have let players have access to weapons like that let alone ALL of them on the shop after beating the campaign on the second play through.
@@armoredcorelore all tell you something I noticed back when I played. if you raise your PA high enough you can cause damage to them just by running into them. pair that with your ACs weight and speed you'll cause greater amounts of damage just running into people. no blade, missle or bullet is more dangerous than an AC with a tempered PA
@@armoredcorelore Throughout armored core it's like that I believe, there's duplicates of actual machines but entirely different pilots. It does beg the question why Humans are replicating an AI like behavior, or are the Mecha themselves technically branded considering corporations give the parts and assemblies to the machines? I think a major bit of debate video topic would be the validity of who overall actually owns the mechs if the pilots technically don't actually matter?
Hi, wanted to inform you that White Glint can S-Rank all missions in Hard Mode, giving the double S rank. Below, I will provide my own S-ranks, with the method to earn them. Regarding that, I cleared your AF Answerer roadbump, as well as the 5 vs 1 NEXT battle. These will be provided near the end of the videos. These S-Ranks can be repeatedly achieved, instead of an accidental fluke (PA-N51 is the hardest though). Remove the space. - First 12 missions to Motherwill -> youtu . be/qyYl79ba-mE - Remaining missions to End -> youtu . be/S8l2AljI5EE - Hardest S-Rank, details for S-rank PA-N51 -> youtu . be/SLPxr0Hy4as
In all the series? That's tough. I must admit as much as i like revi revi and so many others in the whole series. i think i have a say Roadie however. I like his next and his style. That and i like to think he's a great example of a a pilot with low skill that became great.
@@armoredcorelorethere's so many but best boy goes to rusty, just calling me buddy is enough for me to make a character my favorite,it's pretty basic but good in my opinion
