I have a friend who is an airborne ranger. He ran out of gas in Dallas shortly after returning home from deployment. Walked to the gas station, got some gas and came back to 2 guys trying to take parts off of his truck. A third guy in a car pulled up and they thought they were going to beat his ass. Well 2 of them ended up at the ER and the third drove off leaving his buddies to fend for themselves. No weapons involved. Just a good old fashioned, behind the barn ass kicking. 🇺🇸

Buddy of mine was Airborne Ranger. He was a great ranger, but the world's worst bar bouncer lol! The problem is, those guys are trained to fucking GO! 0-100 in one flat second. I don't doubt your friend beat the shit out of a couple guys stealing from him, I've seen mine stare down a bar full of drunk, belligerent rednecks, grab the chief troublemaker, open the door with his face and curb him without thinking twice about it.

Who the fuck cares? I've seen Rangers, Airborne, Marines, Marine Recon all get their asses handed to them with a bill, out in town, by civilians at various times. If your "friend" (who I don't think actually exists, btw, and is probably a mental construct based on your CS:GO loadout) had his shit wired so tight, then how the fuck did he allow himself to run out of gas in the first place? I didn't join the Marines until I was 20, but I don't think I ever let myself run out of gas past the age of sixteen.

Unfortunately most ex military members really shouldn't be allowed to own guns. The mix of PTSD and how fucking horribly our veteran support system is funded...it's sad to see. The mass shootings like the guy in Vegas gets the headlines, but nobody talks about the guys who shoot themselves in the head every handful of minutes. And before you judge me, I deal with depression. I shouldn't be allowed to own a gun either.

Never forget that at a drunken revelry when when one of my friends, who was a beefy-type “Bro’”, just kept a-fu(k!n with one of the SFC guys (who was kinda a short, Lance Armstrong-statured/bodied-type guy). The little Special Forces dude got fed-up and literally mopped-the-floor with my buddy’s face, and then explained to him, as he was tending his bleeding wounds, what he did wrong and how he should’ve approached the fight. 😂

The Rangers treated this like a training exercise, and the fact that the unit chain of command didn't charge them when they returned to base., tells you a lot. If they were aiming as if they were in a combat situation they are would have been bodies on the ground. remember this is also being done without night vision devices. But if even one of those rangers been wounded seriously enough to Warrant it, they would have turned them into mush. And I'm willing to bet once the word spread, that neighborhood went quiet for quite a while

There were clashes with regular citizens because people were naive to the real threat these guys imposed on our community. @@Danny-Patts As a Veteran, the OP's comment is plausible. In fact, far more than only 15 of the unit being present. Rangers pride themselves on never leaving a man behind, this extends into all aspects of life. Also, engaging in an all out fire fight with a bunch of gang bangers is not conducive to career advancement in the military. I could see the number of Rangers who were unofficially there as high as 70. However, there are 15 confirmed Rangers of whom none were ever promoted again.

The narrator and various comics make fun of the idea that a person can take personal responsibility for their choices and actions (especially those that can really screw up your Entire Life) by "just say(ing) No" to drugs. I've seen the end results of both decisions and the person who said No definitely came out on top. More, it wasn't as though there were just a few commericals and speeches. In Los Angeles, the Federal Government funded the pretty holistic health course-like approach led by the police to: address the curiosity, the effects of different types of drugs, what the crime did to the families and communities, and tips on how to respond to dealers, friends, and even strangers who tried to get you involved with drugs. I dunno. I guess it depends on different variables whether people took it seriously or not. haha

15:07 I'm sorry I have called 911 many times and nothing was even done. My ranger buddies and I helped the department out, you're welcome.

I don't know why people are saying those rangers smoked them. None of the crips were hurt, quite a few bullets were pretty darn close to hitting the rangers and the ranger at the top window was grazed by a bullet with glass shattering and the ranger received multiple lacerations on his face. Those rangers are trained army special forces and those crips were street thugs. For a battle between special forces and street thugs those crips kicked their asses

I don't know. Staff Sgt. is pretty high up there for a Ranger. I'm guessing that he was hoping for a lateral promotion?

Random question you said you grew up around guns and stuff and I’m curious . I kind of am familiar with the gun laws in the UK and there is a gun culture so to speak with competitions and hunting but it’s insanely impossible to really own a gun . So did you grow up hunting over there and stuff ? As a US guy and born and raised in deserts of Arizona and was in the Marines for a while , guns are totally normal for me and people around me . Curious about any of your experiences in the UK with guns and hunting and stuff like that?

Much like in most liberal US states, it's pretty easy to get a shotgun or a rifle but very difficult to get a handgun. Especially up north. As it should be. There's really no reason to actually own a handgun, and I own 3 guns...

@@willvr4 Depends where you’re from really, if you’re from certain estates or other low-income neighbourhoods you’ll come across a handgun at some point. I’ve only been here for 12 years and I’ve seen some things, but I was around the type of person who would own such things.

@@willvr4 Well I know that the UK has a gun culture, you should know that it isnt hard to get a handgun in liberal states. I live in California (one of the worst) and I can go get a new pistol easily. The thing thats regulated is the magazine capacity (10 rounds), the number of handguns you can purchase at once and in CA there is a list of handguns that the state has deemed "safe". The list is a complete joke but it just means gun dealers have to sale approved handguns in the state. Law Enforcment for some idiotic reason can buy the guns not on the list though.

@@sharkbait5402 The gun culture in the UK is a fraction of what it is in America. Our gun culture is absurd. Basic comparison...As of 2020 there's less than 5 guns in the UK per 100 people. In America, there's 120 guns per 100 people...More guns than people.

The movie Gran Torino, starring and directed by Clint Eastwood, has a premise similar to what happened here. Idk if its directly inspired by these true events.
