vanislefan Forgotten. Arnie? That be like Joe D. or "The Babe" being forgotten. Not the best ever, but easily the most popular at least from my generation. Very few watched golf on TV before Arnold.

What a great man. Very enjoyable to listen to. All the greats really seem to show that their intellect goes hand and hand with their success on the golf course. Listening to Nicklaus, Player, Tom Watson, Travino and many other greats is always a reminder that class and levelheadedness is just as important as the talent that it takes to be great. Golf really does reflect character and life in general in so many ways. Maybe more so than any other sport/game.

I saw THE KING twice in person... every grown man on the course was in awe.

The King! Greetings to a fellow Arnie's Army member. When he passed, I had several oval bumper stickers made of his umbrella logo. I just replaced it a few weeks ago. I sent one to his grandson Sam Saunders who wrote me back a very nice letter. Class, as one would expect. I've been fortunate enough to follow Arnold, Jack, and Tiger on the golf course. I've got tickets to the Memorial in a few weeks. I'll be sure to follow Bryson Dechambeau. It seems to me that he just might be that next transformative character in the game.

The President of Arnold Palmer Enterprises in the 1960's was mobster "Bernard Abramoff". His nephew Jack Abramoff would get ensnared in a bribe scheme with Indian Casino's and sentenced to jail in the mid 2000's. A lot of Palmer's off course wealth came from businesses that were well suited to "money laundering". In fact all of pro sports from the NFL, NBA, PGA are in and of themselves financed via dirty money. One of the major tour sponsors is HSBC bank which is the leading Dope bank in the world. The ownership of the NFL is almost virtually made up of "organized crime" ownership. You've recently found Phil Mickelson's name in the news for "insider trading" with a famous Vegas handicapper and before that he was linked to "off shore" gambling and money laundering. The Tiger Woods so called scandal pales in comparison to what Arnold has been involved in for all those many years and what Mickelson is involved in with regards to "organized crime" interests. QUIT SUPPORTING PROFESSIONAL SPORTS AND THEIR GAMBLING AND DRUGS BACKERS.

how are golfers so rich? so few people go to watch golf or play it.? serious question btw
@danielharman4437
@danielharman4437 7 лет назад
tryin 2b rational that's not true. A lot of people come to watch the tournaments. Where they make the most money though is from sponsors and very big tournaments called majors. You can make millions from winning a major. With sponsors you can make several million. Rory maclroy was paid 100 millions dollars by Nike to endorse them.

Fair. Golf is seen around the world. They also get big bucks from execs who are powerful and fans who play. They more than make up for the lack of viewership.
