Heart arrhythmias? It could be due to excess calcium. Here’s why.

2:20 How to prevent too much calcium in cells
3:51 What causes magnesium deficiency?
4:47 Other causes of too much calcium
5:37 What to do for heart arrhythmias
In this video, we’re going to talk about heart arrhythmias and how they relate to excessive amounts of calcium in your cells.
Arrhythmias are a problem with the rhythm of your heart. This could be a minor palpitation or a major atrial fibrillation-and anything else that involves an irregular heart rhythm.
The most common cause of arrhythmias is excess calcium stuck in your cells-this is why many arrhythmia medications are calcium channel blockers.
Calcium is one of many electrolytes that supports the function of your heart:
• Sodium controls the “spark”
• Calcium controls the “squeeze
• Magnesium controls the “relaxation”
There are many common triggers for heart palpitations:
1. Caffeine
2. Alcohol
3. Sugar
4. Stress (cortisol)
5. Electrolytes (magnesium)
6. Low vitamin D
7. Chocolate
8. Drugs
Each of these will affect calcium physiology-which can cause palpitations.
You can control how much calcium is in your cells with magnesium. Any imbalance of electrolytes can have a short-circuiting effect, which throws off the systems in your body and causes palpitations.
Low magnesium could be a result of insulin resistance or consuming too many foods high in sugar and carbs. It could also be a result of not consuming enough magnesium in your diet. Most magnesium comes from leafy greens.
Other causes of high calcium in the cells are:
• K2 imbalance
• Vitamin D imbalance
• Potassium imbalance
Take a look at your diet and lifestyle habits and see if any of the things I mentioned above could be triggering heart arrhythmia. It may take some trial and error to figure out a solution.

Sufferers of Atrial Fibrillation should also keep an eye on their Dental Health. I had a root canal treatment that failed and allowed bacteria to invade my jaw! It took 10 months to find the problem and then have Specialist dental treatment to fix the problem. During that period I was having daily attacks of AFIB for up to 5 hours per day! After the tooth was fixed the AFIB events reduced in severity and length, to now when I have not had an AFIB episode for over 6 months. There is some research out there connecting dental bacteria to Heart problems, so it may be worth looking into if you are otherwise healthy but suffer from AFIB.

Thank you! I suffer from skipped heartbeats and pauses a lot for the past 4 to 5 yrs daily. I also had sarcoidosis 29 yrs ago and I had lots of scar tissues on both my upper lungs. Several yrs ago 9 to 10 yrs ago I had PVCs and I have lots of them now, daily and at night while I'm sleeping. I've had stress tests and Holter luke recorders and they heard them on the recorder. @@tmabry5515 sarcoidosis, I had never heard of it but it sounds like another inflammatory disease. Turmeric is where you're usually start with that and then you move on to omega-3s like really good fish the best you can buy. As far as premature ventricular contractions don't worry about it. I mean it's not that serious I've got atrial fibrillation that's way more difficult to deal with and more dangerous so I'm on drugs for that. Get a blood clot on your ventricle that's what they're worried about so they give me blood thinners and they slow my heart down with a rate control medication. Just live a heart healthy life and manage your stress rest exercise really really really good food only the best Don't be eating processed food. I know you didn't ask for my opinion but I really care about people in their hearts it's not that hard to move forward in life with some heart problems it's not a death sentence like you know some other diseases. Although usually heart disease is kind of like what gets most of us but there's lots you can do.
@TLH442
@TLH442 2 года назад
@@tmabry5515 owned another thing there's a young woman and she's got that too irregular ventricular contractions. I checked up on it and the cardiologists say it's mostly just normal. Your heart will pause for a second cuz it's resting. If it keeps beating it gets lactic acid build up and that causes the heart to grow That's called athletic heart. People overthink things in the cardiologists you know some of them are good some of them are bad I would suggest you just not listen to those people too much and just let your heart do what it's got to do you know how to live a healthy lifestyle so just concentrate on that. Above all avoid stress I've developed what I call avoidant personality. If something bothers me I avoid it and that's it I'm done with it. I don't worry about consequences I don't worry about anything, it's not worth it.

I've watched the RU-vid video 'The Grounded' a couple of times, it's also very family friendly. Electric Magnetic Frequencies affect our body so much more that people know. I don't use my wifi often, but on a day that I do turn it on I can see seven of my neighbor's wifi that reach into my home, (wish I could ask them all to adjust the reach of their wifi). This is probably why I began getting more restful sleep after I began grounding at night. It's been three months so I'm sure that is what made the difference. Wired baby monitors are safer for babies. I'm stepping off my soap box now, and I didn't even mention cell phones. :o) Thank you so much Dr. Berg, I can't wait.

I started feeling irregular heart beats two weeks ago through out the day and it bothered me cause it was a very bold irregular heart beat. Watched this video, started drinking vit k2+D3 and Magnesium and within one week it all went away. I dont have high BP, I been on intermitent fasting for about 1 year now, run 3-4 miles daily so I was confused about this sudden irregular heart beats. It turns out I am not getting enough magnesium and vit k2-D3 with my diet. I also started blending kale, celery and tomato and drink that juice twice a day to increase potassium intake. My heart arrhythmia is gone now. Thank you Dr Eric Berg!!!!

I like to focus on the electrolytes too. Mountaineering and cycling are linked to AFib. No reason given but I would come home from these activities with white crystals on my clothing. Dryed sweat. Next you have mineral deficiency. For AFib one noteable doc says 2x500mg magnesium per day. Water soluble minerals, we void them every day. Got to stay on top of it.

I know this is a year old but people are over calcified. My bone doctor prescribed calcium. I took magnesium and continue to. If you have bumps on your legs you have a calcium problem.
@TLH442
@TLH442 2 года назад
@@RkicF8 calcium isn't the problem for some people wouldn't have osteoporosis if they can't store the calcium in their bones because they don't have the vitamin d. But you're right calcium is easy to get it's in a lot of stuff especially if you're eating meats and dairy. The other three electrolytes are what you should be concentrating on magnesium, potassium, sodium, in that order. If you're eating leafy greens then soft tissue calcium is not a problem it's transported to your bones where it belongs. Calcium does not belong in your veins and it does not belong in your pineal gland it's bad for your health. So I take a calcium channel blocker. This is because it overstimulates the heart and I need to slow my heart down so that it don't get atrial fibrillation. It's amazing how much you learn when you get a disease. But if you watch Dr Berg's videos he points this out and he's absolutely right about calcium and the way it works in the body.

@@TLH442 Very interesting. Pink salt and magnesium in my diet now. Got DR Bergs Electrolyte formula today and also got some bile salts. I see my relatives who had their gall bladder removed 10 years ago are now getting joint replacements. This is not good. I think calcium is a huge problem. Switched to sheep and goat cheese. You are right though everybody needs potassium.
@TLH442
@TLH442 2 года назад
@@RkicF8 probably. They talk about k2 and soft tissue calcium. Hardening of the arteries calcium deposits in the pineal gland affecting mood all sorts of bad effects I'm going to calcium channel blocker just to keep my heart from messing up I've studied it a lot. Of the four electrolytes calcium is the easiest one to get and a lot of the doctors have said that too they say don't worry about calcium. You get tons of it with the regular North American diet Even broccoli as a vegetable is loaded with it.

I’ve relaxed a little too much on my keto too ... a great gentle reminder to get back on track! Leading first with those wonderful vegetables of course, and I do sincerely mean that! I do love them, I just love the chocolate and other things that are not the best for me too! Keto is an every day way of life!

Great video. Not sure why, but it makes me want to double check my own habits, like making sure I can't get excess calcium from smoking medical pot. Also...this new knowledge does line up with my new personal thoughts that excessive calcium may be a notable culprit in increasing sensitivity to EMF radiation... from say a cellphone and Wi-Fi home router. will look deeper into this. and i finally looked into chicken production since the doc has videos on it....after seeing Google images of chicken on a zinc deficient diet.... think I'll insist on natural ones like they do overseas

@LJ-pg4pf
@LJ-pg4pf Год назад
Hi Dr.Berg, my name is Leslie. I’m looking for the link to get the intracellular test done and I can’t find it. I’ve been dealing with heart palpitations for a little over three months now and it was getting really bad to where I walk up steps or take a shower and it starts acting up for about 15-20mins. I started taking magnesium. It helped a lot, but then it didn’t go away came back after a week, so I started taking Potassium, It also helped a lot but didn’t go away. It started coming back until I started putting a little bit of pink Himalayan salt in my water. I don’t know what to do because when I get the racing heartbeat by the time the ambulance comes or by the time I drive to the emergency room it goes back to normal, they do nothing for me after that. It’s stressing me out more day by day. Lucky after a little over a month of waiting my echo and stress test appointment is this Saturday Dec 10th. I also get chest pain with every beat on the left side that comes only when I have gas and even after belching. I’ve been severely constipated for a little over three months and haven’t had a bowel movement where today makes the sixth day. I never knew that hospitals would just send a person home that’s having multiple palpitations about 3 times a day for over 3 months. Some days I can’t even 5 AM because of this study hard heartbeat. I have a serious problem and I feel like the only way they’ll help me is if I come in the unconscious. I don’t understand why they are ignoring this for so long. I don’t smoke or drink. I haven’t vaped in a little over 3 months now. When I eat or drink water, it usually starts with the hard heartbeat, then fast palpitations when I stand or walk. I don’t know what to do
@joseeallyn9950
@joseeallyn9950 Год назад
I know how you feel. It seems that American doctors know only two diseases, heart disease and cancer. They prescribe blood thinners for the one and chemo for the other. I think you are correct about the intracellular blood test. It is the best way to see inside the cells ,they may be the wrong shape or they may die prematurely. M.D Anderson in Houston seems to have a doctor who knows a bit about such things. He has written some erudite papers on the problem. Their website is good.
@LJ-pg4pf
@LJ-pg4pf Год назад
@@joseeallyn9950 thank you, it turned out that it was a lack of water getting through to my intestines because of severe constipation, and due to that restriction of water, it was causing my organs to be without enough water as well, and turned out that MiraLAX was all I needed. It went away the first day of taking it, and by the third day the chest pains went away completely.

I get sharp painful cramps in my les, usually right leg and it goes away with a few days of magnesium and I do take the regular Magnesium citrate. I've heard its absorbed poorly, but seems to work for me in this case. I probably should be taking it on a regular basis instead of just a few days when I get cramps, which I typically only get when fasting but I also drink when fasting. Probably a good idea for me to stop that, but for now I cant, I might as well take Mg.
