Just booked this superb site for our 2nd trip out this year (last one was Riverside at Hawick in Feb) site again for Easter Monday week travelling from near J63 A1(M). It is probably the best English site for pitch size and facilities we have been too. Hopefully there will be a clear night or two to see the Aurora Borealis given it's a dark sky area.
@@VandromedasTravels Just got back from this site...another great stay there on a different fully serviced pitch...visited a number of places from Wollaton in Nottingham, Hardwich Hall , Brodsworth Hall as well as the caves museum at Creswell Crags. First half of the "week" too gusty for the awning , Friday non stop rain all day so had Fish and Chips from the van and ate them in a colourful "beach hut". Then yesterday visited the Natural History musuem with the ancient Egyptian artefacts etc in Sheffield city centre. Site was quiet at the start of the week but quite full today as we left. (you can leave right up until 12 noon)
Travelling to this site today with an 8m twin axle from the Jurassic Coast to use as a stop for 3 days on way back to N.E. and wanted to see the approach which you both showed clearly. Was worried looking at google maps travelling down the street view as on there the entrance looks like a locked private gate with a narrowing track the only other route. Thumbs up!
@@VandromedasTravels There certainly are some MASSIVE units. 2 onsite at the moment looks like you'd need a truck cab to pull them. One has its side extended out. Never even seen these for sale anywhere
Nice big awning. As for securing I'd be kinda surprised if you haven't gone for the modern screw in pegs so you can use a cordless drill/driver to get them in and out easier (or socket ratchet in emergencies).
