As a Canadian that traveled to Philippines. I cant express enough how wonderful the people are. I love the culture The foods The views I traveled all over Metro Manila Even down to Tagaytay Flew over to Boracay My next trip i want to visit Baguio Or maybe down to Cebu. Salmat Po ! To all my friends Who see the wonderful things this country has to offer

I started going to the Philippines over the past few years and when it comes time to plan vacation, I don't even want to look to go anywhere else. I went twice this year and plan to visit a few times in 2024. There's so much hiking, history, beaches, great people, and food... it's paradise! Not sure how long you guys are staying but definitely get out of Manila if you can coordinate it. Side note: Go back to Jollibee immediately... have the fried chicken and peach mango pies! The pies are a must... I make special stops to pick up the pies every time I visit(they're the perfect snack to take in the airport/plane when leaving too).

You should've gone to Cebu as a gateway to a thousand islands in the Philippines (instead of its densely populated and chaotic capital Metro Manila) - amazing international airport, cozy resorts and hotels, white-sand beaches, turquoise waters, fresh and eclectic cuisines, fusion of urban-rural life, cheaper cost-of-living , etc.

Also, THANK YOU for correctly featuring "Manila". Rizal Park / Luneta is indeed in Manila. You are among the more responsible vloggers. Too many foreigners calling everything here as Manila just because they see a skyscraper. Manila is just one of the 16 cities that comprise the Metro Manila region (formally, the NCR). I get that the airport is named "Manila" but every traveler should know that airport destination names are not necessarily in the same city. Time changes things. If ever you do travel around a bit more, you can ask the locals which city you are in so you can feature correct information in your travel videos. Quezon City, Pasay, Makati, Taguig and Pasig are also popular tourist destinations and looking forward to more of your videos. More power to your channel!

BGC, Dreamplay, Manila Ocean Park, Venice Grand Canal Mall are great places to visit and have fun with your kids! Malls like Mall Of Asia, Powerplant, Greenbelt, Megamall have plenty of stuff to keep you busy and exploring for a day! Welcome to the Philippines and hope you guys have a wonderful Christmas here!

Welcome to Manila! ✨ First of all one thing to note is that City of Manila is different to Metropolitan Manila, with the latter being the capital region where the city is located, much like the situation between City of London and Greater London. When people nowadays say "Manila" they most likely refer to the region than simply the city. Metro Manila btw has 16 cities so it's a large region filled with cities. That being said, your itinerary must not be limited to the "City of Manila" area as most of the stuff happens around the neighboring cities within the capital region, but it's nice to visit "the City" for historical visits and museums. But Christmas in Manila, it's all about shopping, dining, and ofcourse going to churches. If you're Catholic and Christian, and if you can wake up in the middle of the night you can go to one of the churches and attend the traditional Midnight Mass (Simbang Gabi/Misa de Gallo) before Christmas Eve. I'm from Makati City (one of the 16 cities in Manila) so I'll say San Antonio Church in Forbes Park district and Guadalupe Church in Guadalupe district are nice churches to have the Midnight Mass, but if you're in "the City of Manila", there's the historic San Agustin Church and Manila Cathedral of Intramuros. - I'm from Makati so, I'll start with my city. 😊Makati City's Central Business District has great shopping centers to check out like Greenbelt and Glorietta, and has the Ayala Avenue for you to wander around, and the infamous pedestrian underpass with its colorful murals. Salcedo Weekend Market is also one of the best weekend markets to check out! There's also the Christmas Lights show in Ayala Triangle Gardens, a must-see if you're gonna spend Christmas in the Philippines. Rockwell area is also a nice place to visit and stroll around. The entire neighborhood of skyscrapers light up at night all year round so it's a spectacular sight. If you see a bunch of buildings at night with bright yellow lights tracing the silhouette of buildings, that's the Rockwell area. - Then there's Bay City, a bayside district in Pasay City where you can find Mall of Asia and some grand casino hotels like Okada, Conrad, and City of Dreams. It's a popular place for families to soak up the Manila Bay breeze, and have great views of the Manila Bay sunset. Your kids can also enjoy the SM by the Bay which is like a promenade amusement park with rides and the MOA Eye ferris wheel, the Dreamplay which is an indoor theme park at City of Dreams. - Then there's BGC District, the former northern part of the military base Fort Bonifacio, now turned commercial district in the city of Taguig. There you can find lots of sights, restaurants and places to visit like the Mind Museum, the Philippine Army Museum, Manila-American Cemetery and Villamor Air Base for history time, the Bonifacio High Street which is AMAZING every Christmas season, and the Uptown Bonifacio area where you can go clubbing if you're into partying. Mckinley Hill is also a place to visit in BGC and you can find strips of restaurants and the Venice Grand Canal mall. If you're gonna spend Christmas in the Philippines, I highly suggest staying through NYE, because the two goes hand in hand, and New Year celebrations in Manila is like unmatched! You will have lots of places to choose from where you can celebrate the NYE Countdown: Resorts World Manila, Eastwood District, BGC, and the Rizal Park are just among the best places to welcome the New Year in Manila with jam-packed events and concerts. I'm used to spending New Years' Eve in BGC where they have concerts of international/local artists at the central square for Free! Manila is basically a festive place to celebrate New Year and I suggest you book an air-bnb or a hotel room with a city view so you can see all the fireworks happening in Manila from Christmas to New Year's Eve. It gets crazy on NYE and might be overwhelming to people not used to such a blast, but it's sooo fun!! But ofcourse, like most Manilenos, if you want (or should I say have the time) to go out of town, out of Manila, you can always take a roadtrip to Tagaytay with the view of Taal Volcano, or much better, go to the highlands up north in Baguio City and enjoy the Cordilleran Pine forests in a colder climate and weather. Baguio is famous for its strawberry farms, pine trees and crisp cold weather (relative if you're from Manila haha) that goes down to 10-6 degrees celsius. So if you can afford it, you can always do it the traditional Manileno way, spend Christmas in Baguio then go back to Manila for the New Year celebrations.

during this amihan season (northeasterly wind), metro manila & the rest of luzon have a relatively calm weather (almost zero storm or typhoon) whereas, the southern parts of the philippines could be rainy or stormy so, always check the weather everyday (via windy app or zoom earth) and enjoy your staycation here in the philippines! 😊

To answer Tamira's question , theres alot to see in Manila during this time of the year . If you like the "authentic" places , i highly recommend Binondo's Chinatown (oldest chinatown in the world) and Intramuros for the start . But if you like somewhat modern/top notch places , go to Bonifacio Global City in Taguig or Mall of Asia in Pasay City . Since Christmas is just around the corner , we Filipinos have some traditions you might find interesting and worth spending your time . Like "Simbang Gabi" ( or Evening Mass) that starts every Dec16 and ends before Christmas Day in every catholic churches . Nowadays , mass schedule differ depending to every church . Completing this masses will grant you a wish (although it worth taking its a superstition) . After Simbang Gabi , there are stall outside churches selling Bibingka and Puto Bumbong (both are traditionally a seasonal delicacy) that are a must have after the mass . I've been there earlier in the year and stayed at the BGC as well. Just like you guys, I was overly excited upon arrival after missing the country for quite sometime. A plus for you folks is timing your visit for Christmas since the Philippines is the only country in the world celebrating Christmas the longest - that is from September to December. During this time, the festive atmosphere sort of transforms the metropolis into one big happy and joyous place. People too are very genial, courteous, and polite. I hope you guys enjoyed your visit.

OMG, Fastfood? A lot of delicious, local cuisine. A lot of variety in every island. At least 7500.of them offering magnificent mountains, waterfalls, caves and the spectacular beaches that the Islands are known for. Suggest heading out of the city after a few days and venture out where there is no traffic, friendlier folks and reasonable prices compared to the city. Welcome to the Philippines. If you have the chance visit Angeles city Pampanga and Clark AFB area. Also visit the mount aryat resort at the bottom of a dormant volcano. It's a quiet swim resort with incredible views of the low clouds that always seem to hang below the top of the volcano. Beautiful
