X maxx hands down for off road bashing. It's just as fast, as the kraton, but it is not low slung for drag racing. Xmaxx is designed to do wheelies. The arrma kraton 6s will beat the 8s in a drag race. The arrma senton you have will destroy the kraton 8s in a drag race. The xmaxx is not a drag truck. It's an off road monster truck. If I want a fast track vehicle I'll get the arrma typhoon 6s. Love that vehicle. If I want a drag truck I'll get the arrma infraction. See there are lots of vehicles in arrma's line up that do a better job than the kraton. Maybe I'm just not a kraton fan. But nothing does a better job than the xmaxx for what it was build for.
A truggy is a very stable racing platform so of course the kraton is better at this type of driving. It will be interesting to see if the heavier kraton can bash as the Xmaxx without breaking way more. The actual ground clearance is about the same for both so maybe the kraton can challenge the Xmaxx.
I don't think it's going to be an issue. I've been doing large scale brapp stuff for years, and just ordered a 1/18 scale Losi. It's all cool and fun. Different things for different situations.
@@spike-- why?, The reason I want to see a tug of war between these two vehicles is because then I can see which one has more grip, and Which one is more powerful, for awhile the 8s Xmaxx was one of most powerful electric rc vehicles, now that it has competition, I would love to see which one would win in a tug of war, however if you have a problem with it I'm willing to see what it is!😉
Nature of the beast, to get it all in frame they'll be small because he's up at 200' looking at something less than 3 feet long. I always laugh at people who think they are "being spied on" by drones. For me to be able to even pick out your features with my drone, I'm going to have to be about 15-20 feet away tops and you're definitely going to know I'm looking right at you unless you're deaf and blind.

Jason Kastendieck 1.they sue people for no reason 2.what they did to the RcSaylors THAT PISSES ME OFF THE MOST 3.the way they treat my local hobby shop after 15 years of being an authorized seller 4. My personal favorite is when I emailed them about the xmaxx body “upgrade” kit they said we don’t understand give us a call so I called them and they’re useless when I proved them wrong 5. They’re too big of a company now to care about people I have since purchased three rc’s from Arrma 6.Arrma is a better company 7.is that enough 8 THEIR BATTERIES SUCK they puff up so easy on any brushless car I only use them for brushed cars and they work good

Both need gearing up ! Speed I’d imagine the Xmaxx may just edge it being mostly plastic . But you mentioned on a track ? Well, Xmaxx was hardly designed to go fast around a circuit, nor the kraton but thanks to having a wide track and a lower centre of gravity as well as all that chassis brace. It will corner faster and flat .
I'm very new to rc cars. I started so my son and I could have something to do while he was going through chemo. I bought him a granite. After watching this video, I will definitely make some purchases from y'alls links.
This isn't towards anyone, and RU-vid will be able to understand what I'm saying. Why when there's a side by side race vehicles alot of the time find themselves bumping into each other like a magnet. Can anyone help me understand this.
Hi guys, awesome video as always, man both of these trucks are amazing aren't they, nate your totally right mate, both are great and have pros and cons, Racing an orange and an apple 😂 a ST vs a Monster truck in most cases the ST will handle better and not be top and rear heavy like a monster truck.. Lol I know what one your be selling because of how you feel about traxxas, but we can't blame you for that, we are all entitled to our opinions, and both are truly great trucks, I prefer the plastic chassis of the xmaxx over the arrmas alloy, alloy will bent its a matter of time but the aftermarket people will bring out a steel chassis for this like they do all other arrmas, one really cool design on the arrma though is their new pinion gear design, hopefully we will see more models incorporate that.. nice race, now swap out both trucks with the optional pinions and do it again, I love traxxas for sure, but the radios they include with all there vehicles is garbage, always looses signal. Im sorry but a 8- 900 plus truck should come with a way better radio

I'm glad I'm not a fan boy of either. I have a xmaxx that I love and have modified, just ordered a kryaton 8s, cant wait to run them both. I also own 2 arrma grainets that have been really abused and have been alot of fun. Also have traxxas trx and a 6x6. Why limit one's self? Looking to get losi ones next. It's fun when family comes and everyone that want to drive one gets one. No one cares who makes them, just the fun they provide. I know old video but thought I would say anyone looking at either should just few them both 😀

Your high if you really think that. The xmaxx is the most durable truck in the world. You have to spend $100's on the kraton for it to even compete with the xmaxx.

iisn't kraton considered a truggy? i mean they are different vehicles, all the comparisons except maybe top speed should go to kraton. it should handle better in every way. not sure point or validity to any comparisons, other than just watching both awesome cars at the same time.
Uriah Wilson yeah or even just a hair faster. If the Arma did 50mph out of the box it would be a must buy for me. Maybe I’m just getting old but I think they kept it slower just so they could make money on a Version 2 next year.
If he's standing in a public place he can take pics and video of whatever is visible. And actually, it only applies to the person taking the pictures. In other words, even if this lot they're racing on is private property, as long as the guy taking the pictures is standing on public property he can take pictures all he wants. If they signed something saying they'd keep it secret, then they shouldn't have brought it out in public in broad daylight. It's why you see car manufacturers putting those weird paint-jobs, decals, coverings, etc. on the next year's cars when they have to test drive them, to try to hide the new design until they're ready to reveal it.
I bought the traxxas, I am not impressed 😐 its hard to stay on the ground. The set screw keeps backing out. I changed the gearing to the extra gear that comes with the truck it ate up the teeth.
Yes, you are spot on! It rolls a LOT! Ours stays broken more than it does fixed and running, and are tired of constantly buying parts for it. Sorry you've had a bad experience with Traxxas, but know that you are not alone!

I own them both.. And they are both fully upgraded with 800kv systems.. Kraton has castle xmaxx has hobbywing... The kraton will eat the xmaxx up all day...wheels down man down 💯 the xmaxx is my favorite bashing rc!!!
So what about Traxxas? They paid for the XMaxx as well. They were offered to purchase it early, and? They could have said yes or no. They are running a youtube channel about RC rigs, and they wanted the Arram Kraton 8S anyway - so what's the big deal? What about all the rest that purchase things and then post videos? Your argument as to why Horizon is not nice, is a poor argument. The notion that everything should be free just because you have a youtube channel is idiotic. Yes, sometimes things are free, but most often not. At the end of they day, NAte and Abby choose to do this because they want to and enjoy it. They are not obligated to do anything, nor is Arrma or Horizon. That's why there's Patreon. I'm a Patreon member for the Saylors, so I spent my money on this, and I thoroughly approve of this purchase. If anything, I would personally have liked to see the Losi DBXL-E 2.0 rather than the XMaxx, but hey, you can't get everything in life - and I have one on order anyway. Now Traxxas on the other hand, a company threatening with lawsuits just because the Saylors mention their name in a video? There's a bunch of assholes of a significant magnitude. Arrma may be on Horizon hands, and I have had my fair share of fights with Horizon, but Arrma itself is still great and they make a nice RC. In addendum. It is also of importance to realize that when Abby and Nate pay for the RC they review, they are not obligated or inclined to give praise to something that might not deserve it. Lord knows there's enough of that going on on "sponsored" RU-vid channels as it is. You as a consumer are probably better off with a review from someone who can estimate the value after making an actual purchase, rather than just getting free stuff.
@@AB-80X well I'm new to the hobby and I don't own a traxxis or a arma I thought arma notified them to have it on there channel I just thought if that was the case you would think they would compensate them for not free but maybe a discount or something that's all I was saying I have been watching videos to learn what's a value and what's not what I have learned so far is traxxis is overpriced and cheap looking I will never own one and arma seems better at a better value but is starting to get expensive too honestly there all overpriced 👍😀
Wow both mega big trucks,And go so fast too, Where is that place you race them as looks great for it, Just a thought on signal issues, They may be on 2.4 but most of my r/c cars will lose signal when they are 100ft or more away from me as on the ground and not like a r/c plane which is up in the air.
It's note the drone interference... Traxxas remote systems are just terrible! I immediately get rid of them for anything else, lol. What pinion comes on the kraton?
Ok, we werent sure so thought it might be drone interference. Glad to know that it wasnt just us. Their radios do seem really cheap, but Ttaxxas fan boys attack us hard if we say one negative thing about Traxxas..
25% heavier concerns me .. IMO ... it needs two 5c packs (36v) to get it to 1/8 performance levels 7:00 A grand ? ...us Canadians will have to chunk out OVER $2000 EACH with supporting equipment ... SUCKX

Maybe you'll get lucky and find one going cheap that has been bent ;-) You won't see us sending our $1000 vehicle (traxxas of arrma) flying high over concrete for a few extra clicks! Not Worth It!! We actually appreciate the things that we own!
@@TheRcSaylors Its getting to the point were RC cars are more expensive than a cheap used 1:1 scale that you sit in... I just bought 4 new tires for $260 for my Honda .. I seen $300 with rims for a X-Maxx... I honestly believe we are getting hosed by the industry.
