The batteries are the scariest parts on these builds! At least they stayed near the car and you didn’t have to run into the woods to put out anything worse. On another note you’ve been killing it man
Yes, that is the downside of these lipos when you crash. That's why I make cases for them, so they don't get punctured. But this car I can't use my cases on the top of the car because they are then too tall. It was just unfortunate that the body came off and it slid on its top, dragging right onto the batteries. 😖😔 Man, sooo sorry bro!!! Crashes alone are bad, exploding lipo fire+crash is just a whole new level of ouch! Hopefully there's still a lot of parts that survived 🙏 When I saw my 1st lipo go up in flames, my heart sank, I said "crap, there goes the limitless!!". Luckily the lipo had flew out of the car before it went up in flames, I thought it was still in the car! 🥴 Same limitless I just flipped several times in the air this Saturday @ 135mph & it landed on all 4 miraculously & I was able to roll her back to me, no damage, well... I lost 1 screw! 🤦♂️

Ah sorry man! The car looked really stable up until that point. It's almost like it got kicked up rather than catching air under the body and parachuting.
Someone needs to design a system that can activate a throttle cut when certain parameters aren’t met, like chassis angle or the amount of load on the front suspension. It’s crazy how fast things can go sideways when doing a speed run.
i recently came acros a video of a guy who programmed his aux wire from the xlx2 in such a way that the xlx2 goed on full dragbrake if it loses connection with the receiver. But it is possible to make something like that. I am no electrical engineer. But Raz has his PP (😅) witch is a small pcb and some electrical parts that works perfect. You can make something similar with a parameter check of choice that activates dragbrake. You can even run it on a secundary system with a small 500mah lipo. Mechanical E-brakes (servobrake on spool, parashute or something else by choice. In combination with a esc cutt off) can be connected to it but require more space to place hardware.
See this is why I’m afraid to try and gain that extra few mph from stuff like this happening and so I’m good I’m gonna stay in my 170s and 180s mph and it’s sucks to be u at that moment I feel for u as I kno how much money this cost to go out for 2 mins and have to go tro this 😂however we try to find the good in the bad and it could have been much worse and I’m shore u lurned something form this at end of the day I also have a body I can tro your way for free if u would like it and it’s 2mm delta with wings speed run body
