Im a huge pearl jam and obviously love the original...but this is so different it cant be compared they are both good in different ways...this version is so so good
After this song came out and the media blew up BS between him and eddy? I saw Arron in concert and guess who his guest was to do this duet with 2 guitars??!! Eddie vedder!!! THAT was f-ing awesome....once in a lifetime performance and THEY BOTH killed it!
I'm not sure this occurred? I'm also not sure the media blew anything up? Great cover. Had this on my desktops in college. Burned to a DVD. These guys are on different planets as far as culture relevance. Both great, in some ways. Not sure about the hard Republican stance, at its ignorant points, or switching genres entirely, but there are people who believe in him
wow. aaron's voice- sometimes soothing, sometimes so full of pain, and he usually chooses to cover songs with great fucking lyrics and feeling and he always does them justice. 2002- the end of the golden era of alternative rock
Met this guy by his bus he cleared the bong we had twice it was super kind bud but he left us right after he did it he had to had been blitzed he smoke a 1/8 in 2 hits
I remember when this CD came out. I was in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina 2001 Beach week. Family values tour 2001 Album. Too bad we can't get this on I-tunes
Well, it isn't as good as Eddie Veddar, but then it wasn't his heartbreak. I do love his music. I saw him in California, it was supposed to be the whole band "stained" but only he showed. We didn't miss the rest.
@lounzer No he can't, however, there is no other artist that could have pulled it off. Aaron Lewis and Staind are the end of the best era for rock music.
I think the pearl Jam jockies need to chill...you are obviously too arrogant to listen to or appreciate anyone but them sing their songs so why bother clicking on it. he did a great rendition and I prefer his voice to Eddies *my bad *
As a big fan of Pearl Jam since they first album. I appreciate what Aaron lewis do. But I think no one can sing this song better then Eddie. It's so flat and I can't feel any emotion. I know it's hard to cover a song from a band who has fanatic fans. But I'm back to the rules of youtube. Shut up and listen.
Everyone has their own opinion, and that's fine, and I try not to judge... But I can't even comprehend people saying that this is better than the original. I am fighting urges to throw petty insults at people who think Aaron's voice is better than Eddie's... but I won't. Enjoy your opinions!
NO, NO, NO! Just NO! Don’t mess with the classics unless you are going to try something new with it or keep it original and do better... and he hasn’t come close to either.
