Oliver saying "I wanted to and I liked it!!" probably makes season 5 better than the rest on its own. Easily the best scene in the entirety of the show
Agreed, Seasons 1, 2, 5, and 8 are the best of the show, Seasons 3, 6, and 7 are ok, they're not great, just fine, and Season 4 was bad and god awful and the worst season of the show.
It feels so weird how arrow ended... like I’ve watched it for such a long a time and it’s so sad and surreal that we won’t be getting anymore episodes.. :(
1.Season 2: 10/10 2.Season 1: 10/10 3.Season 5: 9.5/10 4.Season 3: 9/10 5.Season 8: 9/10 6.Season 7: 8.5/10 7.Season 6: 8/10 8.Season 4: 7/10 The truth is I love all seasons of Arrow.
Season 1 is the best, hands down. No Olicity, no overpowered villains, no distractions, just the mission. Back then, Oliver is at his most effective. He makes criminals look like a joke. Plus the fact that Quentin Lance is incredibly dedicated to catching "The Hood" and Oliver just escapes him in the most badass ways imaginable. It is truly spectacular. I loved it the most in the first 3 episodes when Oliver was on his own. Pure justice. That is why the Green Arrow will always be my favorite hero. He is not afraid to kill, when necessary, he is the closest you can get to a real life superhero. The story arc is amazing. The villains are pretty good. Truly fascinating. The show did a great job at portraying Oliver Queen, but in my personal opinion, only seasons 1, 2, 3 and 5 are worth watching. No magic crap (except the Lazarus pit), no superpowers (except Deathstroke, but he is balanced power-wise), just Oliver's crusade, his path of justice. Thank you for reading.
I think why I personally like S5 equivalent to or more than S1 is because it was an adrenaline shot to the veins when it came out. For me, after Arrow S3 and S4, I was utterly drained from all of it. But Season 5 jabbed me with that needle and revitalised my love for the series, especially giving me favourite episode throughout the whole series (Season 5 Episode 8). It gave us a super incredible villain, sweet but sometimes mediocre side characters. I agree that it had quite a lot of flaws but it’s the season that hooked me back and made me enjoy the other seasons after.
@@thestranger1475 You can't say Season 5 is better than Season 1 because of how much better it was comparatively to Seasons 3 and 4 and therefore revitalized Arrow. If anything Seasons 3 and 4 ruined a lot of things for Season 5. The fact that Oliver had beaten Ras meant that Prometheus should never have been able to even put up a fight against Oliver, let alone all the other irrelevant villains that are somehow able to not get beaten by Oliver in less than a second. Overall, the season realistically should have ended in 10 episodes or less and it gets dragged on which makes zero sense considering how far the team has come especially against the league and literal super villain magic powers... The fact that Adrian Chase is able to escape god tier level technology hunting him makes no sense either. It never showed anything on how he was able to avoid detection so long after being outed as Prometheus.
Genuinely* and there are many things that go into a good rivalry. Chase was able to get into Oliver's head for basically the whole season and in kapushion he even went insane. Also, you have to consider chase's side. Oliver killed his dad so theres that. Chase even kidnapped William for a little. They also worked together and that was a bit of a betrayal
Shaheer A. 💯 agree but Slade and Oliver considered themselves brothers so when Slade found out about what Oliver did, Oliver knew Slade was gonna go crazy and knows he’s unpredictable. But Chase did get inside Oliver’s head and made him quit being Green Arrow for a couple of episodes
Great 1- Season 5 10/10 2- Season 8 10/10 3- Season 2 10/10 4- Season 1 10/10 5- Season 7 9/10 Ok 6- Season 3 8/10 7- Season 6 7/10 Bad 8- Season 4 4/10
My ranking: Season 2 Season 1 Season 5 Season 8 Season 3 Season 7 Season 6 Season 4 My cousin introduced me to flash about a year ago and I then went on to watch every arrowverse show and love them all. I binge watched the first 7 seasons of arrow and it took a couple months. Season 8 was the first, sadly last, and only season I ever watched live on TV on a week to week basis. And I’m glad it was a good one. Season 4 and 6 were bad but were better when you watch it without waiting so I can’t really determine how bad it was waiting week to week for the episodes, but my cousin said he hated how slow season 6 diaz storyline progressed. For him he’s watching his favorite show for 8 years end and for me it’s been one year but I can feel almost everything he feels.
1. S2 Excellent flashbacks. Every episode is fantastic, even the filler ones contribute to Oliver's character. Deathstroke is the best arrow villain IMO with the best backstory. Also it introduces Barry and sets up the flash. 10/10 This is by far the most solid arrowverse season in my opinion. 2. S8 Every episode is an excellent tribute to a part of the show and it includes the best part of crisis. 10/10 3. S1 Perfect starting season with the best drama ever in the arrowverse and the best flashbacks. Also I love olivers savage personality 9/10 4. S5 Great action and character moments although it's a little over the top sometimes imo 8.5/10 5. S6 Kinda meh in the first half but the deathstroke episodes were great and the second half was great. Also ends with an amazing cliffhanger 7.5/10
I never ever hated season 4, in fact I feel like it’s way over hated for no reason, that being said here’s my ranking of the seasons 1. Season 8 2. Season 1 3. Season 2 4. Season 5 5. Season 3 6. Season 7 7. Season 4 8. Season 6
Aryan Sahu what do u mean, in season 4 he learned how to use magic he wasn’t under powered at all, season 6 is where he was underpowered af, he couldn’t take out a hacker, the real reason people don’t like it is Because people don’t like oilicity which really isn’t that bad, people just make worse than it actually is
@@GamingwithLootmaster the only reason I said he was underpowered is because in S1, S2 he was a badass yeeting everything he set his sights upon, whereas in S4 he was struggling to take down a few "soldiers"
I always knew Oliver was the tough killer type and Barry was the kind hero type but damn Oliver in prison : beats guards up and starts riots Barry in prison: stops riots, frees a falsely imprisoned friend, saves a bunch of criminals from being sold
1. 5 2. 2 3. 1 4. 8 5. 3 (Underrated Ra's Al Ghul season) 6. 7 (only because of the prison arc) 7. 6 (didn't even remember Cayden James until he mentioned it) 8. 4 clearly lol
Fabrobin i agree with every thing expect putting season 6 higher than 3, i don't get the hate about cayden james he was good and he clearly wasn't there to be a physical threat which is why he had his own team
In my opinion season 3 would definitely rank a hell of a lot higher than season 5 just for the main reason of to me, Chase just seemed like a Malcom Merlin rip-off, he seemed like the same character just rewashed, and reskinned. Malcom and Chase obviously had a largely different personality and reason for doing everything, but to me at least everything seemed just too familiar to season 1, which isn't 100% a bad thing, since season 1 was an amazing season, I just think that the whole League of Assassins theme was far more superior to any other season. As always though, this is my opinion a majority of you will disagree, and it doesn't bother me, just wanted to throw my 2 cents in. Gonna add on as well, another reason I especially enjoyed season 3, it was the ONLY season in all of the arrowverse TV shows that made me think, "what would I do in his case?". I really enjoyed being able to put myself in Oliver's shoes, and seeing both perspectives of my own, and his. To me this season will always hold a special place among my favorite top 10 seasons in all of TV.
Here's my ranking: 1. Season 2 2. Season 1 3. Season 5 4. Season 4 5. Season 3 6. Season 8 7. Season 7 8. Season 6 I honestly only liked the first 5 seasons of Arrow. I didn't care about the last 3. One of the things I liked about the show was how almost every episode had flashbacks of Oliver's 5 years of hell. So that whole structure about going back and forth between his past and present made Arrow's storytelling so compelling. I do agree that Seasons 3 and 4 are weak, but I don't think they're as atrocious as everyone says. Season 4's low points were lower than Season 3, but its high points were higher than Season 3, and that's what gave it an edge for me.
@@surround83 I like s6 too. I really liked the 2nd half with Richard Dragon. I just didnt like the first half too much. The premier was good but disappointing that nobody died from that giant explosion. The next episode was good too. But after that it got werid with diggle as Arrow and having the fbi police after Arrow again. That storyline has been used way too much. William and Felicity were annoying alot in 1st half as well. I did like the Slade 2 parter though. I think the show improved alot when Cayden james team got revealed and Oliver put back on the hood again than it got very good with Richard Dragon took over as main villian. Richard Dragon is my 2nd favorite main villian of Arrow. S6b devils greatest trick to 7a Slabside is mostly amazing. 7a was espace from supermax comic and if 7b was the outsiders war comic from Green arrow having The Clock King s2 teaming up with The Count s1, Brick and Richard Dragon to form the longbowhunters with also some more members in their squad. Than I think s7 would have been my favourite season of Arrow. But they messed up in 2nd half of s7.
The best part of even the worst seasons are the actors. Seriously. Neal was the shining light of season four. Manu created an amazing teammate AND villain. Stephen is awesome, and Emily is honestly overlooked because of he character, and even the more forgettable villains like Ricardo Diaz had awesome actors.
After reading the comments, I am terribly sad at the fact that y’all rank season 3 lower than 7. The inclusion of Roy Harper as arsenal(even tho he gets written out) is incredible. He is my favorite character by fair in the show. The only reason he is unlikeable in season two is bc of the mirakuru. He is genuinely a good person and gives me robin to Batman vibes. Someone please agree
Actually the best part of season 4 was Oliver confronting Quentin about working with Dark. That was amazing acting, and that was the tension I was looking for between these two characters for a long time
1. Season 2 9.8/10 2. Season 5 9.7/10 3. Season 1 9.5/10 4. Season 8 9.2/10 5. Season 7 8.5/10 6. Season 6 7.5/10 7. Season 3 6.9/10 8. Season 4 2.2/10
If you put the last 9 episodes of Season 6 and the first 7 episodes of Season 7 together, then you got yourself, a great and incredible 16 episode season of Richard Dragon being the main villain, also Season 6 episode 5 and 6 with Deathstroke should be included in this as the first two episodes, it will be an incredible 18 episode season. The cliffhanger from Season 5 is removed completely, its only mentioned, its a short season, but a really good one and its better for it.
I’ve always seen it this way, except starting at episode 6x13, not 6x15 as you mentioned. 6x13 was the climactic episode for the villain group and the shift from Cayden James to Diaz. Also episode 14 was fun seeing Oliver fight the New Team Arrow. So from 6x13-7x07, the show is a really great run.
1. Season 8 2. Season 2 3. Season 5 4. Season 1 5. Season 6 6. Season 3 7. Season 7 8. Season 4 Season 8 was my favorite because it took every great element that this show has had into one single storyline. The whole season is a love letter to the show itself. The action and emotion in this season was the best it’s ever been. A perfect send off to a great show.
The first seasons were absolutely great, because they felt like the Christopher Nolan Batman, where everything happening in the show could happen in real life. The fighting scenes were really well choreographed and Amell looked the part. Every character had real depth, and was very emotional at times. Once various people with supernatural abilities started appearing, the quality went down, and they took the easy way forward, explaining everything with superpowers, without trying to create real villains, like Merlin, Rhaz Al Gul and Deathstroke, or like Joker and Bane were for DK. I guess that’s what they thought the audience wants, but still too bad for the first seasons. Felicity was a very annoying character for the most part, lots of good villains, Moira was really good, Laurel was good as long as she was not a superhero, Laurel’s dad was good, Diggle was good, the grown up kids were good but the rest of the cast felt like they didn’t have enough depth to them. Season 8 was good though.
@@jawadnasir60061 season five season four was good because laurel died in season five she a villain and helpful and season three was oh ok I wish that laurel was still the DA still five adrain chase breaking Oliver down the flash backs and William too
1: Season 2 10/10 (every episode was great) 2: Season 8 11/10 (there are only 10 episodes) 3: Season 5 9.5/10 (every episode expept one or two were great) 4: Season 1 9.4/10 (just great, the flashbacks were very intense) 5: Season 3 9/10 (the first episodes were not that good) 6: Season 4 5/10 (idk I just think it's not as bad as the other two seasons) 7: Season 7 4/10 (first 7 episodes were great, that's it) 8: Season 6 2/10 (awful)
I think the reason that people don't really like seasons 6 or 7 is because they are used to having a season that in some way, has to do with Olivers past and having him feel somewhat responsible for his city's problems. It was almost a relief that in seasons 6 and 7 we got to see Oliver sort of move past his mistakes and solve problems that have nothing to do with anything Oliver did in his dark past.
Season 1 was not the best in terms of quality but its my favourite bcs savage, moody, playboy oliver was badass asf. He drop bodies like flies including the main bad malcolm (of course he is not really die but if the series end at s1 he is considered dead).
@@georgbergsten6050 s8 is great. It having no felicity brought the show up alot. If only it had more episodes, more great sidevillians and a great main villian as well. Also it would have been even better if we got a happy ending instead of a sad ending. S2 I find good too but found it weaker than s1. Stephen Amell once was asked to rank the 5 seaosns at the time and he said Ok... season 1, season 5, season 2, season 3 and that's it. He didn't even want to mention season 4. What is it about s2 you find it to be the best? What is so over the top bad about s5? S7 first half I like a whole lot. If s7 2nd half had the outsiders war story with The ClockKing s2, The Count s1, Brick, and Richard Dragon all teaming up as the longbowhunters with other members as well, than I think s7 would have been my favourite since The Count is 1 of my favorite villians from Green Arrow comics. It really bothered me when he got killed off so early s2 not ever coming back as a main villian for a season with his powers. The Count rivalry with Green Arrow in the comics is way bigger than Green Arrows with Deathstroke. Deathstroke definitely has a great rivalry too. But Count Vertigo is up there with Merlyn, The ClockKing and Brick. They are Green Arrows top 4 most used villians of the comics. After that its probably Richard Dragon, Prometheus, Deathstroke, Shado, Cupid, Komodo, Ninth Circle, ect way too many to name off. Anyways not having Count Vertigo as a main villian for 1 season and killing him off in 1 episode of s2 is like not having lex Luthor ever be a main villian on superman and killing him off immediately. State vs Queen was still great until the ending of seeing The Count get killed off the show. They tried to give us a new Count s3 much older maybe hes a relative but this version came off like Scarecrow more and nothing like The Count. Plus he didnt have great charisma.
Oliver Queen Ok this is all opinion based but I think season 2 is the best because: 1. Great flashbacks 2. Deathstroke has amazing backstory 3. Introduces the league and they’re actually cool in s2 unlike in later seasons 4. Introduces many new characters like anatoly, Barry, Sara and Nyssa. 5. I know you guys love prometheus but in my opinion his deathstroke had the best rivalry by far because we’d already seen them together for so long. 6. Pretty much every episode is great. In s5 there is a lot of meh episodes And the thing I don’t like about s5 is how prometheus doesn’t feel threatening. And his whole backstory is not good at all in my opinion. Anyway s5 is still one of the best. This is just my opinion don’t hate me.
@@georgbergsten6050 1. to be honest I found the flashbacks better s1 and s5. I really liked seeing Oliver train in the bratva with Anatoli and Dolph Lundgren was my favorite flashback villian. I didnt like Ivo s2. S2 flashbacks disappointed me for killing off Shado when shes way too important of a character in Green Arrow comics to die that soon. I also noticed the flashbacks s2 had the lease amount of kills. I think even s3 and s4 had a higher kill Count. S3 I found it interesting see Oliver in Hong Kong and Star City again. I liked the first half with China White as the villian but didnt like the 2nd half with the military general. S4 the villian felt like kilmonger but not as good and the story felt like a Indiana Jones movie. S5 felt like a John Wick movie at times. I dont dislike s2 flashbacks but didnt care much for Ivo, was upset they killed off shado, and was upset they turned Slade bad. I also at the time didnt care for Sara. I wanted Laurel to be Black Canary not Sara. I was very disappointed with how s2 ruined Laurel Lance. Katie Cassidy is a great actress and should have been built up s1 and s2 training with wildcat and getting her Canary cry powers when going to central city with Barry on 3 Ghosts episode. Now Sara Lance I ended up liking more on Legends as White Canary. 2. I Agree with you on Slade Wilson having a great backstory. I really liked him so much s1 as 1 of Arrows teachers. He was also so badass at fighting s1. I ended up liking him so much as a good guy that I felt the same way s3 when Catlin Snow turned bad for a few episodes. I got so much invested in seeing both good guys it was hard for me to like seeing them as villians. Now maybe I would have liked Slade and Frost more as villians if they had very good motivations reasons for turning bad. But no Slades motivations felt forced like 2 face. It didnt make sense for Slade to hate Oliver. Oliver never choose, that scene is a complete lie. Ivo said time up and had the gun on Sara last. If he had the gun on shado last he would have ran in front of shado resulting in Sara Dieing instead. The only person that should be blamed for shadows death is Ivo. Not Oliver Queen. Those motivations felt very weak and turned a great Green Arrow character and villian shado into nothing but a plot device for Slades forced motivations on Green Arrow. 3. Ok seeing the league was cool here, but I disagree with them not being cool in later seasons. S3 was the best season for the league. S3 had Ras and the entire league as the main villians. Plus we got to see nada parbat for the first time. 4. I agree with you on Anatoli and Barry. Nyssa was interesting as well. But I liked Nyssa better s3 and seeing her fight talia s5. 5. Ok its true we saw more of Slades backstory and with Prometheus we only were told about it and shown in flashbacks how his father was killed. But Prometheus had way better motivations reasons for hating Oliver than Slade ever did. Green Arrow actually killed Prometheus father in cold blood with his hands up unarmed. You can understand more why adrian chase is doing what he is doing, but hes taking it way too far. Slade was taking it way too far as well but his reasons were a lie because only Ivo is responsible. Slade pretty much was only evil becuase the miracu made him do it just like how Roy was bad seeing red. Now for me I wanted Slade to have better motivations other than the miracu made me do it. I did still enjoy Slade since I think the actor does a great job, but i just felt Slade should have stayed good or a antihero grayvillian like Deadshot in present day. 6. I hope you dont get mad at me either. I still love alot of episodes s2 but I dont think every episode is great. I was very disappointed with the premier with the hoods. I didnt like how Oliver starting this seaosn says I wont kill anymore. For me it made Green arrow less badass compared to s1. S1 green arrow was way more badass I felt where now s2 hes holding back when fighting and refusing to kill anyone even if they are trying to kill him.
I personally think season 2 is the best season, but I do respect how you think season 5 is the best season because we really get to see the hood progress in the flashbacks but also the season finale was amazing because basically every big bad of former seasons were there - malcom merlyn, slade, and even though ra’s is dead his daughters are still there fighting only person who’s not there is darhk
One of the reasons that people didn’t like season 3 because the only other seasons at the time were arrow season 1 arrow season 2 and flash season 1. And most people consider those seasons the 2 3 and 5 best seasons of all time. And right after that there is flash season 2 which is number 4 all time
When looking back at Seasons 1 and 2, I really appreciate how defined and consistent the show was. It's always fun to rewatch for those reasons, but Season 5 is the pay off for sticking along with the show. Stephen's acting is top notch and the best episodes of Season 5 outweigh the best of either Season 1 or 2. Then there's Season 8 which is a short but sweet mix of the 3.
@@spartan5052 That's What Makes Seasons 1,2,5,8 3A, The Prison Arc, And 617-623 Work(Ps. Parts Of 6,7 Dont Have That Much Olicity That Are Good But Not As Much, While Half of 3 And 4 Are Trash
Season 8 shes only in 1 episode so season 8nis the best by this ranking. S1 has no olicity. S2 has a good amount of it and s2 is the birth and creation of olicity drama. S3 is the love triangle twilight new moon drama. S4 is the full on relationship. S5 olicity is gone. S6 they get back together. S7 half of the time it's not there. S8 its gone
I think Diaz is the only complicated antagonist to rank. The storyline they set up for him which depicts him as a secondary antagonist to make the reveal that he was really the mastermind behind everything was a great plot twist and I definitely found his corruption of Star City story WAY better then Ra's and Dahrk's endgames, they took way to long to reveal him as the main antagonist. There are two categories when it comes to main antagonists's masterplans. Either great or terrible. I think Diaz's falls in the middle where the writers had a great idea for him, but took to long to go through with them.
What I would improve for every season: Season 1 - tommy be the dark archer Season 2 - build romance with Oliver and laurel Season 3 - better rivalry with Oliver and better flashbacks Season 4 - EVERYTHING Season 5 - smaller team Season 6 - Diaz from beginning Season 7 - instead half sister villain it should be half brother for better rivalry Season 8 - a main villain
It baffles me that some people dont like felicity, shes a fun quirky charecter, comparable to smallville's chloe. Mia is the best fusion of felicity and oliver, which is great, and I look forward to her own show. I get that most people wanted to see laurel become Oliver's wife, but her arch on the show was still good and the fact she didn't gives extra meaning to the 100th episode as a world that never would be.

I've just watched quite a few of these videos and I don't get why Seasons 6&7 get so much hate. Ricardo Diaz is an amazing character who is really well acted and underrated.
Man, the seven episode prison arc for in Season 7 was so good. It's a shame the writers had no idea what to do with the rest of the season after it concluded.

Bro season 3 is so underrated it was the darkest season and they had to break Oliver down so that he could beat raz al gual. Also he was an amazing villian bc he didn’t want revenge like other villains and didn’t want to level a city but he just wanted to find a successor which I honestly love. But honestly every season of this show is amazing and season 4 is the only okay one
The fans: "Season four of Arrow is bad because Felicity is the main focused character when she is not." Me: *"Gee....where have I heard THAT line before?!"*

T1. Season 5 T1. Season 2 3. Season 1 4. Season 3 5. Season 7 6. Season 8 7. Season 6 8. Season 4 (I put season 8 that low bc I think of arrow as a more realistic show, and I don’t like how Oliver died in a non-realistic way)
Putting season 8 at #2 is a crazy take but other than that we have similar opinions. And acting and dialogue during s5 is top notch fr, the part where Adrian has Oliver captive and makes him admit he likes killing is some of the best acting in the arrow-verse period
I absolutely disagree with the ranking of season 3, which I think is probably second only to season 5. It's still the season in which Oliver suffers his biggest 1V1 defeat of the entire series. R'as Al Ghul is one of the best antagonists and there are plenty of twists like Thea's transformation into a warrior, Oliver's "death", Oliver + Thea vs Deathstroke, Oliver in the League of Assassins and the big Oliver vs Ras finale.
