Tempted to disable comments cause of the stupid argument over a necklace. FINAL FUCKIN' COMMENT ABOUT THIS OK - IT'S A NECKLACE IN REGARDS TO COMPLETING REHAB. Dickheads.
+Jeremy Weakly true or just a person that really loves hip hop in general like sway and big tigger but it seems like charlemagne and dj vlad want to hear gossip
+4 Fake I think we are a little to evolved to dumb everything down to black and white. Treach thinks Eminem is great too and so do many other rap greats (such as ice T obviously). People need to stop dumbing everything down to making it all about white people and people who don't listen to other great rappers. That's dishonest and ignorant.
In my opinion i think MMLP2 was Em's attempt at trying to appeal to the newer generation of kids and the older generation that grew up listening to him but at the same time also carry a general concept and closure throughout the album. Bad Guy was a sequel to Stan and possibly contains one of his most spectacular verse of all time on the second beat where he acknowledges the fact he is not as good as he was back when he first came out. Headlights he ends the shit with his mother. Legacy he takes us through a timeline of when he was a sad child to making his dreams reality. Evil Twin and The Monster he comes to terms with his dark side (Slim). Rap God he basically spits fire for a straight 6 minutes and Rhyme or Reason he disses the fuck out of his father. MMLP2 was a lyrical masterpiece and by far his most technical project to date.
Wow, this is honestly one of the best comments I've read about MMLP2. I think Em is a genius for creating a sequel to his most successful album. Not only because he just threw it out there out of the blue, but just how he synthesized it. It wasn't like The Hangover 2 where they just make more fucked up scenarios that are redundant or Family Guy's new seasons where the writers endeavor to rekindle the old flame it had back in the day by calling out new celebrities and media. Comparatively, you don't see Em rapping about graphic imageries or celebrities as much as he used to because he's grown. He went on another route, which was revisiting old topics and tackling on them as a changed man... More mature, older, and sober. This LP is really overlooked because the fans expected the old stuff again. Oh well, props to folks like you who respect Em's genius approach at a sequel. More importantly, props to Em.
Em seems like a very humble dude and a true fan of the culture who obviously was influenced by the greats and became a great himself if only some of his fans had the same open-mindedness of the music and the pioneers that paved the way before him.
@@eminemisdogshit4626 wtf u think hip hop is? Its an expressive art form? Just say it. Say because hes white you wanna degrade him and put him in this box. Just be straight up with it.
The crazy thing about Em is, all the regular interviews I've seen him do and special guest appearance I've seen, he always has the same angry facial expression; this is the first time I've actually seen him smile and look comfortable in an interview and look genuinely happy. I guess that's what being around your own kind does. I was the same way, just kept quiet and to myself until I was in the studio with my crew and banging song after song! Great interview!!
bigmanting losvegas I'll answer your question with a question. Do you at times find yourself more reserved when around people that you are not familiar with or aren't in your immediate circle of friends and family like co-workers or random acquaintances? And when you are finally around those who you truly care about or with friends and others who share in the same interests and passions, are you able to be more open, more sincere, more like your true self? If so then you should be able to understand where my comment came from...
Eminem felt comfortable cause Ice T cause is a rapper so they relate in alot of ways. I remember Eminem was on 60 minutes getting inverviewed buy Anderson Cooper and Em was talking about how he creates and write his music. Eminem had a box with envelopes, pads, books and sticky notes the lyrics were written very small Cooper asked Eminem how do you read this it's tiny? Eminem said I know what is says. Then Cooper interrupted Eminem buy saying I see crazy people do things like this. Dat really pissed me off calling one of the greatest rappers of all time crazy. Em looked fucked off when he said dat
I love hearing Em talk about the 'puzzle' of rap, with words as the pieces. To me, he's the epitome of a person bursting with creativity, and he literally just can't contain it.
I saw this right before watching a genius scientist describe his process and integration of complex mathematics when it hit me--It's the same shit! Game recognize game. Most of us are ultimately all on the same team.
The best part is at 7:45 when eminem starts repeating from memory ice T's reckless. Royce just looks down because it's obvious he doesn't know it. Talk about respect from eminem.
It was a moment we were waiting for over 10 years. He met Ice-T back in '99 during the Warped Tour but only remembered a few words from Reckless. It was nice to hear him do the whole first verse this time
Imagine being 6 or 7 and memorizing raps on 1984...thats how old Royce was...em was like 10 or11 and had a family member (uncle Ronnie) play it for him repeatedly. If Royce was 6 or 7 and saw it in the movies...once....as a child....how could he know it🤔
He remembers the lyrics to songs he heard 28 and 21 years ago (respectively), damn. They were obviously very important to him, as one (Yoke the Joker) he heard when he finally knew that rap is what he wanted to do with his life and made him realise how great some artists were at the craft, and the other (Reckless) is the first hip hop song he ever heard. Legend.
The album that I love the most by him is the first Marshall Mathers Lp. That whole album is crazy from start to finish. But MMLP2 is still sick especially the track called legacy and evil twin and groundhog day I think that’s what it’s called
You really feel the love he has for rap and his girls and you can really tell that is all he has and loves. going from the invisible boy to the invincible boy with the realest voice in the rap game. legend he b da maaan
It's sobriety, I think. I saw him last summer, he's a lot more open and vulnerable. Still fucking incredible performer, but seeing 70,000 Japanese fans move him to tears when they could engrish their way through 'Lose Yourself' after not touring there for 9 years, you could tell it meant a lot to him. I think he's been getting his confidence back.
Eminem and Ice-T are the best.Anybody who knows a lot about Eminem knows that he used to kick it in his room and listen to old school Ice-T back in the day.I love Eminem and Ice-T.
"my world ended." lmao i love how when someone asks what hip-hop means to him it's almost like asking him to explain the complexities of his soul, he loves it
i've been watching Eminem interviews left and right because I just got into him and i have to say this one is by far my absolute fave. It's just so cool and chill, they're just talking.
MY BOY ICE BE LOOKIN FLY, STRAIGHT GANGSTA! ROYCE BE FLOSSIN THAT DOPE HIP HOP TAT & THE G.O.A.T HIMSELF. 3 LEGENDS. DOPE ENDING HEARING ICE & EM RAPPIN TOGETHER. #EMINEM2050
I think what makes Eminem so great and in my opinion the Best Rapper EVER, is that he keeps trying to better himself, there's no limit for him not even the sky, he's studies Rap, the words, his rhyming is like none other, he said it himself that he lives it, he's constantly thinking and creating rhymes, he fiesta settle for good or average, he goes to for the best he can on the mic and that's why he is what he is today, the GOAT in Rap
I love that they had a good time. It's great to see rappers behind the scenes. Usually when I think of Slim & Nickel Nina I don't imagine them getting along with other MCs.
Royce's freestyle was from a song of his. Might've been recorded before he made the song. It's fine anyways. He's always said that he's just not that much of a freestyler. He has always been a stellar writer though.
Rap legends see eminem as a rap legend so it doesn't matter what regular people think. you aren't nearly as qualified to comment on Em's skill as Ice-T, Dr. Dre, Snoop dogg and others like them
My favorite verse of Royce is his second verse in the song fast lane. He straight kills it. " my whole goal as a poet is to be relaxed and orbited.. As a bottle of Captian Morgan attack my organs. My flow is euphoric it's like I rap endorphins. Also the first song I heard Royce in other than bad meets evil on slim shady lp. Fuckin monster
This is great. Before this I heard that em was a treach fan, and when I heard that I couldn’t see the influence at first. Now that I seen em spit those 6 bars from yoke the joker I can absolutely see the influence. Crazy man.
You, good sir, are my best friend. I'll take Royce or Em lyrically over Pac any day of the week. Royce is probably one of the most underrated rappers ever.
Ive been listen to Iceberg since 89, and Em since 99. I love em both and respect goes out to them both. Eminem is def the most technical rapper of all time, you have to go back and listen to his verse's 10 times and laugh or cry every time. Ice T is a fucking gangsta. He was the man that got me into hip hop, and I thank him for it.
EMINEM will forever be the best simply cause he gave me a voice when i didnt have one and now i rap aswell truth is he's invaded ppls minds and his music helped me grasp on to life when all hope is gone
***** Actually I did read it, it was bitching. Your comment was unnecessary and sad, the more you comment the more you prove how much of a pathetic fanboy you are. And no wrong again, don't like any of those rappers.
***** Wrong again, don't hate eminem. And where in my comment did I say I hated eminem? Stop making assumptions because it's not helping your argument.
Seeing Eminem (“a white cat”, an iconic legend, a grand master) with an iconic legend, a grand master, the person/role model who got Eminem into wrapping, and have such a conversation that gives us a tiny peak into their musical thoughts, is very special. Both sooo brilliant in what they do. ❤️💪🔊🎤🎶⚡️🔥💥☮️
Clover Jetz The MMLP2 covered a broad spectrum of topics but the overall album was about growth and self-realization. Eminem has come to a point where he has escaped drugs an is finally looking back on his life with sober eyes. He's re-examining the person he was, while illustrating the person he's become. He settles the beef with his mother, and adresses several other topics such as his hypocrisy when it comes to how disrespectful he is towards women (when he would kill anyone who talked that shit about his daughters).
Em,Pun,Nas,Pac,BIGGIE,Big L,Rakim, and KGR will always sit at the roundtable of greats when it comes to complex flows & trippy wordplay.. nobody will ever knock there legend status and what they brought to the game
